Moving houses - except this time it is not a military move - we are all on our own now. The NSV? I actually don't mind packing and humping boxes. I am counting it as circuit training. A year ago I would have been whining and likely refused to do it.

NSV is non-scale victory the things that show our progress as we become healthier and fitter Our journey is about more than just the numbers on the scale

Going to the theater and actually fitting into the seat without encroaching in my neighbor's space! It actually felt comfortable! And getting to buy a large t-shirt, because even the XL was too big!!23

I did some meal planning for today, and changed my dinner plans. I was going to include some leftover casserole - but it was putting me over my calorie, fat, and sodium goals. SO . . . it guess it will still be good leftovers for tomorrow! I'm not always this diligent in meal planning (or sticking to daily goals!), but I'm making it work today!21

By context I figure "humping" holds different meaning in Europe than in the states... Still the imagery of this made me chuckle...

Where are you moving to this time?1 -
A couple today...
Passed on my work issue high vis jacket to another worker (quite a muscular guy lol) as I was drowning in it
A Double breasted jacket a bit tight in the arm area fits perfectly now since I started lifting11 -
I'm a size 16 for the first time in years! ❤️I've had so many things go awry but I haven't given up like all the other times and I WONT!21

I was cleaning out my closet and tried on my old snow pants. They hadn't fit me in almost 5 years but I used to wear them with a belt because the button was no where near doing up. Well this year I might still need the belt but only because they were too big!

Started a new job. When guys there talk to me I assume they're flirting, because I'm so hot now. Also, I have to stand in one place all day and I think that's way easier than it would be if I didn't work out.15

As I was preparing for a busy afternoon at home with loads of friends over, wearing my brand new shorts that I bought in August, I couldn't understand why they kept falling off to the point to my knees as I had bought them quite tight.
I told my wife who answered "but you have visibly lost quite a lot since three weeks ago". Well, since it's not that visible on the scale, I was quite sceptical. But two of the friends we had over whom I had seen three weeks ago on holidays told me without being asked that I had visibly lost since then !
That gave me such a smile as I really didn't realise until told !26 -
Bought size 10 dress pants and tightened my Fitbit another notch23

Went for a 60 minute walk last night, then came home, got the dog and walked another 15. Then after puppy settled to sleep I did 10 minutes of gentle yoga.
Not much, and I should be in much better shape, but my battle with depression has been heavy this summer and its much more then I've been able to push myself to do in a long time.35 -

Not far - only six kms down the road actually!! Almost empty nesters - son is in Uni now and daughter goes next year so we have a smaller house!1 -

Oh my. Ooops. That made me chuckle too!!

I just bought 4 new tops at Kohl's. NOT from the plus size department! I noticed earlier this week that my size 2X ones were too baggy and hoped to get into 1x but I wandered into the "normal " dept and found a few tops. I kept waiting for someone to ask if I was lost! Side note: they have ugly clothing in the normal dept too. I had assumed that everything there was really pretty. Nope!
I shop at Kohl's so I'm allowed to say this. The majority of clothing in that store is ugly. I also call it "the brown store." Seriously, the walls, the carpet, the display racks-brown. Or gray. AND a lot of the clothing! Next time you're there, take a look around. Brown store.
Not to say I didn't just buy 3 tops (black, white and gray) there 2 weeks ago. Kohl's serves its purpose.
Sweet NSV for you too!

I was able to cross my legs under a table at a restaurant yesterday! That was cool.
I also took a bath today, which I haven't done in the past 20 pounds. Last time I took a bath I had to suck in all the way to get the water to start to cover my stomach. Now I'm at the point where a bunch of it is covered when I inhale, but when I exhale the whole stomach is covered. Random, but kinda cool.23 -
Terrific kat!

Well, another one for me...the new school term has begun this morning. I dropped the kids off with my wife and stayed a bit as it is our last one's first day in primary. We've been at the same school for years now so we know a lot of parents, teachers and TAs.
One TA was telling my wife "is that your new husband?"
One teacher (we're friends with some of them) couldn't stop commenting out loud how good looking I am now...
(Btw, I was wearing a suit since I had to go to work afterwards so that did help I suppose).
I appreciate sincerely the compliment but I also must say that it is a bit embarrassing to be exposed that much in public (especially since it takes quite some time for your brain to catch up with your actual look and not your former self...)26 -
My husband said that I do not snore anymore!! I probably had a bit of sleep apnea before... 27 pounds down... 50ish to go!27

Same here! Except instead of moving my wedding band to a necklace I wrapped a rubber band onto the back. One of the things I'm most excited about looking towards reaching my goal weight is to get it resized!
[/quote]
That's a fab idea - thank you for sharing! I've already had one of my rings re-sized and the others are starting to move around too much as well now - I'm going to use this trick!13 -
I did my first park run on Saturday - 5k, in the rain (me?!), on a foot that had been stood on by a horse 2 days previously (don't ask!) - and I got a PB! It can only get better!
I also got up and out to the gym at 10am on Sunday (again - me?!! ) to do a Core Conditioning class for the first time. Wow - I'm still aching now - but I did it and it felt good to have been so active!22 -
A couple from the last few days for me:
Went clothes shopping at the weekend (which, as a man is not my favourite thing to do) I'm now comfortably wearing size L tops and even bought one in size M - I started this journey wearing 3 and 4XL's.
That my new pair of 34in waist jeans will be too big very soon and I'm going to have to consider 32's.
The biggest one though was someone at work who doesn't know me saying in conversation yesterday that 'You're skinny, you don't know what it's like having never been fat' - I genuinely nearly cried as never in my 29 years on this earth has someone ever called me skinny without a hint of sarcasm or humour attached to it. My mind was totally blown

I just started back on plan because I got off track a couple of months ago. The first day back on was yesterday and I walked almost 5 miles total, a mix of treadmill and walking at the park and downtown with the kids. I also ate really well all day and tracked every food I ate. That's a huge thing for me considering I hadn't done that in a little over 2 months!25

I'm only about half way to goal weight but I already love high heels so much more... I can wear them all day and they don't hurt my feet like they used to. I literally can't wait to hit goal weight because I've decided I'm going to reward myself with new heels and I'm so excited!22

I have cycled on my bike so much this year that it is disintegrating - punctures galore, bits falling off, wearing parts out (non-wearing parts that is).
I cycled over 1000 miles during July and August, and my poor bike has just about had it.
I pick up a new one tomorrow. My son, who has just learned to ride, will be having the old one. It's done me well27 -
DetroitDarin wrote: »Two yesterday. I bought a size-smaller work-out shorts....and...And yes, this is douchey...but I was doing concentration curls and looked up to the mirror...and damn...guys...I have small biceps now. Where it used to be just kinda flat or rounded, I could see actual bulges. I was so stoked I took a stupid gym-pic.
I've never felt proud of my body - even while a Soldier, with a 4-pack and measurably fit, I was embarrassed to remove my shirt...like...always. So this is a big deal for me. Thanks for putting up with it.
Love the guns! Awesome. Good for you. Post all the pics you want. You deserve to be proud!4 -

Me too. I had to take mine in Saturday because I had worn out the brakes and now this morning had a flat tire. fortunately I now have a new bike. Over 1870 miles since May and next goal is to get to 2000.7
