Went shopping on Saturday and bought myself some jeggings. I used to wear a size 2XL and thought I would need at least an XL when I went to try them on. I needed a Lg however.32

Seeing my abs again for the first time in several months. Working on the side pork still, but every little bit helps.

Went to a class at the gym for the first time in years. Mirrors surround the room and I was ok with what I saw! And most important I didn't feel like the fat gal trying to lose weight. I felt like an average weight woman coming to get in shape!! Feels so good.33

140x5x3 overhead press. Seeing big improvement in this as I get back to eating more.
Took second place in a very small community charity 5k.22 -

He's a keeper for sure.

I had another co-worker tell me today that she's noticed I've lost weight, and told me I look great.
I stayed under my calorie goals today too. I've been struggling with that since reducing them by 100 a day (down to ~1800 daily), but today I just did it. My boyfriend wanted to order pizza tonight and I told him nah, I'd make dinner. And I did.17 -
Did a yoga class today AND then called a friend to walk with. I'm having great success she has a great dress for her son's wedding next month and wants to fit it a bit better.14

Some kids asked me to teach them how to dive.
Was complimented on my face being slim by a stranger at the store.
Turning heads.

I was visiting an old friend who's been aware of my lifelong struggles with weight. She is currently trying to lose some weight and get back in shape. We were talking with her neighbor (whom I just met that day) about getting into shape and losing weight - her neighbor looked at me and said - oh, but you don't understand, since you are thin! Hah! No one has EVER said that to me! That was a real boost for my ego.30

Not sure if this is an NSV but I realise I've not been this narrow / unwide since 2000. Many people have commented that I look years younger, I guess this is why. Still more to lose but, it's progress.22

Lifting weights yesterday I noticed veins in my left forearm are starting to bulge. Haven't "lost weight" in a week or so. I love it.14

You may haven't lost weight but your body composition may have changed in the meantime ! Same weight but less fat and more muscle tissue, as an example.6 -
Today I am wearing suit that I bought 8 years ago at huge cost because I liked it and wore it only twice before I realised it was really to tight to wear. I put the trousers on accidently this morning ( came in from my walk and didn't put the light on so as not to wake sleeping husband) and they fit. I went back and got the jacket and it fits too and the suit looks great, even better than I remembered. The only thing that doesn't look so good is my unbearably smug facial expression, somehow I just cant shake that off. LOL56

absolutely. That's the goal - more than the raw numbers.6 -
I tried on some pants for work this weekend because mine are starting to be too big even with a belt. I expected to maybe be able to fit into a snug 18. The 18 was a little bit big and I could fit into a snug 16. 5 more pounds or so and they'll probably fit perfectly. Even in high school I never wore smaller than a 20.30

Love all these posts - congrats everyone!

Two months ago I had to put in a second hole in my belt as I keep leaning out. This morning I was in a rush for work, threw on a clean pair of jeans, threaded my belt and went to buckle it....the pin wouldn't go in the hole. In my I'm-late-for-work-I-REALLY-need-coffee moment, my brain couldn't figure out what the problem was. Come to find out I needed to put in another hole two inches deeper into the belt! The stupid scale won't move, but I'll take this as a win!29

Realized I'm in maintenance mode of fitness. Got where I want to be and want to keep it up.
These are the stages:
Precontemplation - I won't or I can't
Contemplation - I might
Preparation - Getting ready
Action - I am for less than six months
Maintenance - I still am after six months

I've got a several. I ran for 15 mins straight!! I couldnt even do 1 min 6 months ago. I played sports in my spandex pants in front of people for the first time and DIDN'T feel self conscious! (actually, I kinda rocked them imho). People are coming to me for weight loss advice.
And lastly (I didnt expect this at all!) I love my newfound curves! Before I had fat curves and resented them, but now I have a defined waist and hips and womanly curves... and I love them! I have an hourglass figure (me!!).
You rock!!! That is so totally awesome5 -

They once looked small on my face but after losing 135lbs, they now look huge on my face.
Shame, because I really liked them . . .
135 lbs!!!!! You weight loss Queen!! Truly inspirational9 -
I heard a couple of local ladies at the coffee shop talking with another lady about how small I was looking :-) I'm still 45 pounds from goal, but it made me feel pretty good!23

My NSV Went shopping with my 10 yr old (who is shopping in the youth section) for a Halloween costume she decided on Harley Quinn is a nice little jacket with a t-shirt under it all in one. I asked if I could try it on thinking it was not gonna fit and IT FIT I was so excited so now shes wearing it one day and I'm wearing it the next day to a grown up party.21

Last week I went to a major conference for work. In the past, those 4 days would have been an excuse to really overindulge (big meals, drinks, snacks in the hotel room and in airports). My NSV is that I stayed at goal for 2 of the 4 days, and was only a liitle over goal (and still well under maintenance) for the other 2. I also did a ton of walking, which probably made up for those extra calories.
Also, 2 people who I hadn't seen in a couple years commented on my weight loss, and one said I looked "fantastic". That was really welcome, since nobody where I live has said anything. I'm a 5'11" woman who distributes her weight very evenly, so even after doing MFP for 9 months, I haven't lost a ton of inches. That said, I've been waiting for someone to say SOMETHING, so I'm glad it finally happened.35 -
I've been a little frustrated because I've "only" lost 7 lbs in the last 2 months but I noticed in the last week that I suddenly look a lot thinner in pictures and some pants I bought in May actually fit now!27

I am starting to see a flat stomach, even after I eat! That's huge for me, the lower ab workouts are really paying off and I just started seeing results.20
