I bought a pair of pants on sale a while ago for "when I lose weight", and I wore them to work a few days ago.23

Having to buy a new strap for my Fitbit because the XLarge is too large now22

Fit into a medium tshirt yesterday, down from a 2x. Also today is my rest day and my activity for today was casually jogging 2 miles nonstop.24

I've been tightening up the strap on my heart rate monitor.
I can't tighten it anymore without cutting a piece out of it, but I'll have to take the scissors to it as it falls off during use . . .15 -
My husband called me skinny last night. The first time someone used that word to describe me. I'm no where near skinny yet but I have lost some weight and my body feels a lot different and I look quite a bit thinner than I did starting out. It was just nice to know that working so hard is working and it's noticeable.17

I agree - I have it bookmarked and read it every day if I can, or at least every two days! It's really inspiring to see all these wonderful NSVs and to look forward to some of them for myself.
All of yours today are fabulous - congrats on them all! But this line especially caught my eye...How do I know this? Because I think that maybe my own positivity is helping others in their journey too.
I want you to know that it is. You're one of my favourite friends (am I allowed to say that? ) and always so positive even when you have reason not to be. I try to think of you when I start feeling too sorry for myself, and to siphon off some of that positivity for myself! *big hugs*
@SueSueDio Haha! I think you can say whatever you like, as long as it is said honestly and with sincerity. So thank you. You made my cry. As I always say, we are here because we want to be here, and often we need to be here. Support through this type of journey is paramount because going it alone rarely works long term. Friendship is SO important. And something that simply cannot be bought. BTW, collarbones rock! And new bling at no cost?? Definitely an NSV xx3 -

If I decided not to workout then I wouldn't have experienced how much improvement I've made!
Please don't let those negative thoughts get in the way, you should find out for yourself and see with your own eyes how amazing and strong you really are! Don't screw yourself over something so amazing!
I love this! Thank you @Just_Maddy for your post. Never give up on yourself sweetheart, because we will never give up on you either xx2 -
Just bought a size 14 pair of jeans (they're only a smidge too tight) and a size 12 for my new "goal" pants! I was expecting maybe a 16 if I was lucky but the 16s were too loose!23

That's so cool! My husband will say I'm "svelt" and "sleek" but he's never used the word "skinny". Somehow those other words don't have the same ring to them...3 -
I just picked up my t-shirt for tomorrow's 5k (my first!!) and I had asked for a large cause that's what I'm fitting in right now. When I went to get my race packet, the women looked at me and said "are you sure you want a large?" I thought she was going to say it would be too small...but she said "I think a medium would be a better fit for you." Low and behold, the woman was right and I was in heaven!!!42

Does he know you'd like to be called skinny? My husband would never call me skinny as he knows I don't want to be skinny. He does call me slim or slender and I like that. Some people consider "skinny" to be an insult maybe that is why he never calls you that.9 -
I broke up cutting my grass with the walk-behind mower into 3 days instead of busting myself trying to do it all in one day ... result, 3 days of over 30 minutes continuous walking pushing that mower, breaking a sweat, enjoying the work instead of feeling over-exhausted from it.25

Went swimming for the first time this spring. I fit back into my costume which I bought about 5 years ago, my husband though needs a new pair of boardies. Back to Fitbit tracking today after having two months off.17

I got a trophy today on my "misfit". It's my fitness tracker.15

I was going to say this. I've seen a lot of people post that being called skinny is insulting to them because it makes them picture someone who is scrawny/bony/unattractive because they're all skin and bones. Your husband may also picture that as his definition of skinny, and so thinks of it as an uncomplimentary word!5 -

Sounds like you are thinking about recomposition. Nothing wrong with that. If you can manage the trick of loving yourself and respecting your body no matter where you are in your journey, it certainly helps.
ETA: Congrats on the 36lb loss!!!

That's really incredible!!!2 -
I had a every day customer I have at my work compliment me, he said in a nice way, damn girl your melting off like butter! Hahaha!14

I woke up and hit the gym on Sat for the first time.....and I LOVED IT!!
My husband asked me if I wanted Olive Garden today when I got home. I was so close to saying yes and eating that one meal all day. Then I said you know what? No. I don't want to be hungry all day for one delicious meal. And I need my protein shake within an hour of lifting which I wouldn't get to have if I said yes.
May seem small but today I feel strong! The weekends always test me.29 -
I've only recently started following this group and I love it! Everyone is so positive and that's the kind of stuff I need to hear. I am SO done with toxic people!
Here's my NSV for today.....I have registered for my first 5k run for next weekend. So far i've made it to 4.5k around my neighourhood. This morning I figured i'd run the race route to see how I do. Oh yeh.....5 km in 40 minutes. To put that in perspective, I'm 57 years old and could barely run 30 seconds when I started C25k. And 2.5 years ago I weighed 232 pounds. I'm feeling pretty happy31 -
I write a health and wellness blog, and this week was the first time I felt confident enough to write about my philosophy relating to food, eating, and losing weight.21

I know what you mean. It was so surprising and it made me feel really good. It's so nice to have his support and motivation. I don't always notice the changes but he does.1

My crack doesn't show any more when I bend over!
This is a big deal for me because I have always been known as the guy with the long crack. People would tease me and say that I should have been a plumber. I didn't even know this was because of my weight.21 -
So on Monday I was all feeling good because my pants felt loose only to find out once I got home from work that they were actually ripped on the waist band. BUT today I put on my jean shorts and no pinches!!!! I'll take that validation!11

I went shopping yesterday to buy one outfit that fit me. I come out in Jean going to buy them and the girl says they are way to big. I go down a size come out and she asked if I changed them. she brought me another size smaller. I looked at them thinking no way they would fit and they did. I've gone from a tight 20 to a loose 16. almost out a tje plus size store yay!!!!! I've been forced to buy those ugly unflattering clothes for 15 years.32
