Can't seem to lose the last 10-15 = Team up for success

Hey,
I have been trying for months now to drop 16 pounds and continue to struggle so I was thinking... Why not team up for success? I could make a group with similar struggles where we could support one another through challenges, success stories, tips etc. to drop those 10 or pounds before the leaves start changing colours.
Challange one: Water water water!
Let's build good habits. This week we should focus on drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day for the week. The all losses > 1 lb at the end of the week will get a icon to add to their signature - a droplet of water seems fitting.
Let's do this :drinker:

FYI, if you don't have a lot of fat and you have less than 15lbs to lose it is unrealistic to set your goal to lose more than 0.5 lbs/week. It is also even more important to eat your exercise calories when you have so little to lose. When you don't have much to lose and you have a large caloric deficit you risk burning a large % of lean muscle, instead of some of your remaining fat stores.
If you are trying to lose more than the 0.5 most of it will likely come from muscle so I'm not sure if you should reward those that lose more than 1 lb/week, if anything if should be frowned upon.0 -
I have 10 lbs to go and the scale hasnt budged for 3 going on 4 weeks. Would love to be a part of the group. Water it is!0

I had been sitting on the last 10 1/2 lbs for 3 weeks and i dropped 2.5lbs on my weigh in today! And you know what i did different? I stopped eating back my calories, this past week only. I had always eaten them back and it took me 2 weeks to drop a lb that way.0

I would love to join you all. I have 7 pounds left that I would love to get off.0

I'm in too! I have about 10-13 pounds to go, I need like minded people to help motivate me and I'll do the same.
Also, it's funny you should mention water as a challenge, because I was actually going to make myself a mini-challenge for the next 2 weeks to make sure I drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. :drinker:
Thanks for making the group and good luck everyone!!!0 -

Sounds great, I have 30 lbs. to lose, so to lose the first 10-15 would be a great motivator.0

Awesome - let us know your tips and tricks this week for being able to drink you all your water during the week post them.
For example: Yesterday I went shopping for clean foods and I picked up a jug to keep with me at my desk:
 *now I have to pee haha*:laugh:0 -
I would like to join also. I have about 7-8 lbs left to lose before I start working on toning and maintaining. I have been slacking big time and needed to get remotivated. Drinking more water is a great start. Can't wait for more.0

Alright so weigh in when you need but let me know when you do so that I can post results for Tuesday (allows Monday weigh-ins to get thier goals in)
Here we go for sure!!!
*PS there are all sorts of tips and tricks, facts and fiction out there - a loss is a loss regardless of the number on the scale so whether your body is ok with dropping .5 lbs or 2 lbs it is all good and you are making progress. Be healthy (and I know you all are) and enjoy0 -
yes yes yes yes YES
I have 11lbs to go (did at one point have just 10 to go....)
Pounds MUST be gone when I go back to work in September.
MUST!!!0 -
PS - "prize" for the week:
Plus BRAGGING rights :drinker:0 -
Im up for the challenge! I have about 8-9 lbs to go Im currently doing jillian michaels ripped in 30 since finishing 30 day shred- love it! I have my weight to lose set at .5 lbs per week and I do eat my exercise calories. Seems like its going to take forever to get to goal weight but as long as I continue to see the changes in my body, im trying to convince myself not to worry about scale #'s but id still love to get there! When are we weighing in? I normally weigh on wednesdays. Water water water!0
-
I would love to join also i have lost 20 lbs but have between 5 - 12 to go and its much harder now, Im in the process of trying all sorts to shift the scales last week i ate a curry and some wine and lost 4 lbs!!! and have been under every other day ( am not endorsing curry and wine!)
