Rowing, on the water - those long, skinny boats like in the Olympics. Only mine goes slower. (Hey: I'm doin' OK. I'm old, and I started late!)
Hey, there's nothing wrong with starting late. As long as you know your limits and are being safe about it, then I say that's great for you. It's better late then never. There was a little old man who was in his 70's in my yoga classes.
My yoga class was mainly a bunch of mid 20 year-olds and early 30 year-olds. He did just fine. He couldn't do every move as fast as other's, but he did some moves that not even most of the men in our classes could do.You'd be surprised what some people can do despite their age or looks.
What is this "limits" of which you speak?

I don't think we have limits because of age, we have limits because of desire and commitment!
At 66, I lift weights, run, swim and hike. My favorite is dead lifts above anything else and also leg press, I'm up to 470 lbs right now so yeah I like that a lot.3 -
Running for sure! When you spends weeks at a time unable to even walk, being able to run when you can feels like freedom and a defiant victory!4

Cardio: Boxing

I say that anything you consider a workout and you really enjoy it, then yes. You could even lift 5lb weights as your favorite exercises. It's really what you enjoy the most that is still considered exercise and a challenge for you personally.1 -

Oh man, I've had that experience before where it hurt so good doing ab workouts. It was like a cooling effect on my abdominal area as it was happening. It didn't burn, or feel like it was aching, no I mean it felt like I had thrown on some of those cooling gel packs on my stomach. A bit sore, but so good.0

Indoor bike definitely, mostly because it is very much fun, it's great cardio and I have one at home so I can watch movies or tv series while I ride and that makes time pass faster2

Spinning with a good instructor at my local YMCA.
Hiking in Ireland.
Biking in France.
Anything that works the lats...
Most lifting.
But my favorite of all time? ...BIKRAM YOGA!

i really like overhead press. just like doing it, even when i'm not doing it with a whole heap of weight. but i pay for liking the press in being incapable of squatting with anything approaching comfort. if i had my druthers about which one came 'naturally' i probably would choose to give up the press and be a squatter instead.
deadlifts would be my second pick, and i'd choose them over the press if it was 'you can only do one lift ever, for the rest of your life.'
on the cardio side, i'm really attached to my bikes. i actually see the appeal of running, but i've never been able to do it for long without hurting myself.1 -
Swimming. Don't feel myself sweating. No impact on my arthritic feet.1
