Second NSV that I've just remembered - I was clearing out my clothing drawers earlier, to make room for the new clothes that I've now got to return. Came across a pair of trousers that looked absolutely ENORMOUS and before chucking them in the charity bag, had a look at the size.
They were a UK14; I was shocked that I thought that these were huge as once upon a time I thought that a UK14 was tiny (when I was a UK28/30; I'm now an 8/10). I'd have done anything to fit into a size 14 then. I wouldn't now though! Odd how perceptions change.27 -
Ran an entire 1K!! I started yesterday. I felt sooo gud I ran another one today! Wooohooo! If you would've told me I was going to be able to I would seriously doubt you but I did it and I'm in the most impressed shock EVER!!! Please don't give up you guys and realize you will be able to whatever goal you have or something you think there's no way you will ever do, don't give up 'cause you never know that might be the day you finally make it.27

I bought a really cute, non-stretchy sweater size UK12 thinking 'one day this will fit me!' Went home, tried it on. It fit me.
I nearly cried.
Here's my goofy, chuffed to bits face in the mirror.

Wore my "new" jeans out shopping yesterday (a pair I haven't fit into in about 9 years), and noticed two things.
Firstly they felt a bit odd around the butt and thighs and I couldn't figure out why at first - after a while I realised it's because they're a lot closer-fitting than I've been wearing and there isn't a bunch of spare fabric flapping around!
Secondly, I caught sight of my reflection in the doors of the chilled section and couldn't quite believe that I look sort of "normal" - as in I seem to be a similar size to a lot of other women, rather than "one of the really fat ones". I don't have a proper full-length mirror at home so it was the first time I'd got that good of a look at myself in these jeans, and I was impressed! I'm still far from slim, but I'm definitely seeing the improvements recently.
And finally, hubby mentioned today that my legs are looking a lot thinner lately, and also was pleased that he can get his arms further round me when hugging and can touch his elbows now!25 -
3 years ago, I found success for a moment with a fad diet that helped me lose 23 pounds. During that time, I got rid of a BUNCH of my bigger clothes and got some smaller stuff from friends. I found a pair of pants that are size 8 that I don't think I ever wore at that time. Well, I thought maybe I should try them on today to help me keep motivated (I'm retaining about 4 pounds of water this week) and guess what?! The suckers are buttoned and zipped and only slightly uncomfortable! The muffin top is a bit much, but they fit! Part of me is trying to reason that they are huge for their size because there's no way I could fit them, but they fit (ish) none the less!22

I ran an 8k! That is a first.33

Had to go buy new jeans today since the pair I was wearing was starting to look super baggy. It was pretty awesome to buy the size down from what I had been previously wearing20

I had an excellent binge tonight! Chips and salsa, pasta salad, deer sausage, burger, hot dog, corn dog, beer, and ice cream. The victory is that I'm not depressed about it. It was just one day and I'm happy to know that I will be back on track tomorrow.35

Several people commented on my weight loss at a get together last night. Good to know my hard work is showing even on the days I feel like it's not!17

Congrats!
I was hoping for this one myself after a family gathering tonight with people I haven't seen for over a year... unfortunately it was an outdoor event and so cold that I had to stay bundled up in my big coat, so no one noticed! (Or if they did, they didn't comment... my face looks much thinner now, but since they haven't seen me in so long maybe they just forgot how I used to look! )6 -
I can do 11 pushups! 10 was my goal and I hit it. Now I'm going for 15.30

hero.
i'm excited about my squats. for more than two months i've had a clicky sticky spot in my s.i. on one side, and about a month ago it was so bad that i quit squatting completely and started the slow picky process of trying to diagnose and address what was wrong. i couldn't even do air squats without setting it off. a full week of stretching and hip circles and structural fiddling, and i started again to do it for real, about a week ago.
i deadlifted last night and today i did 5x10 back squats and 3x10 front, just with the bar. thing is, two weeks ago a set of 5 with the bar would have re-jammed it, but so far today i can't even create the trouble spot by experimentation. my fingers are still crossed but it's really good news.20 -
I danced for an hour tonight! Even a long day, I had energy to work up a sweat Saucier to Brian Setzer!21

Bittersweet! Time to find a new favorite dress ;-)10 -
I put on a coat. My mouth was hanging open at how it fit. That's a very good thing. Progress baby!21

I thought I had maxed out losing weight on my feet, but all my Autumn /Winter boots are loose. I believed I could wing it, but they're a little beyond a tad uncomfortable.16

I realized today, at the gym, instead of saying "just one more set before you're done" I was saying "you can do just one more set"
Also, I hate working my arms out because they're so week. Today I realized I've gone up on number of reps, sets, and weights!26 -
I'm feeling so much better that I'm finding myself finding tje positives in life rather than focusing on the negative. now a negative brings me to think hmm how can I change that?
live is too short for drama. I find myself limiting time with negative people that just want to *kitten* about everything....I'm all about lowering stress now26 -
I went through my last box of "too small" clothes a couple of days ago. I have a few dresses that are many years old and won't fit until I'm around my goal weight, but other than that the box is almost empty now! Got several "new" tops out of it this time around, and couldn't believe that I actually fit into a size 12 skirt when size 14 jeans are still too tight. Go figure. (That brand is one that I thought ran small, since I need a large or XL top, so it confuses me that I fit one of their skirts!)
There are a few pairs of jeans that are still too uncomfortable but they do button up now - the last time I tried them I couldn't do them up at all, so I'm getting closer! Those and the dresses are all that's left in the box.
The bad thing about all this is that I'm almost out of smaller sizes now, so once I shrink out of this lot I'm going to need to spend money. I'll have to hope that the local thrift and consignment stores have some decent things when I get to that stage!14 -
I have been walking in my neighborhood for 4 months. One trek is just around the block I live on, it's just short of a mile and there is a very steep hill just before I get back to my house. I always stop and take a short break to get some extra air in my system before I go up the hill. If I don't do that I get so out of breath that I have to stop half way up and do some breathing. Just now I went out and as I got near the hill, my legs were feeling so strong, I decided to see if today was the day I could make it to the top without a break. I DID!!!! I will freely tell you that I was huffing and puffing like a freight train, but I made it and I really didn't have to slow my pace much! I'm so excited and I did it in about 12 minutes so I'm extra proud of myself. I'm going to do a 5K on Thanksgiving Day, if the Good Lord is willing and so I'm working on my speed!56

I needed a new winter coat so went shopping yesterday wearing my old, very baggy one. I bought a new, very smart jacket FOUR SIZES smaller than the other! I met up with my friends after and they told me to donate the old coat immediately and that my figure looked really nice, they didn't realise I had an hourglass figure! Like many others, I've always had an issue with buying clothes. I purposely buy baggy things to hide myself but yesterday, I guess I learnt that buying clothes that fit me make me look better! It is a completely different style to what I normally go for too so a double-whammy of me going out of my comfort zone thanks to weight loss and improved fitness30

Its warming up here in Sydney, and this morning putting on a skirt that I haven't worn since last summer (about 15lbs ago) I got a pleasant surprise! This size 8 (US) skirt is no longer bunching up at the zip, but is more like a skater skirt in style (rather than a bodycon style that it was before)! haha I hope everyone can understand this20

Ran 2 miles in 20 minutes!26

I bought some ice cream that I've wanted for ages but was too scared to try because of the calories20

Yes!
I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I'm finding these days that even though I'm still overweight I actually WANT to wear closer-fitting clothes. I have a waistline again and I want to show it off! I, too, used to hide myself in baggy things, but now I know that looser clothes make me look bigger than I really am... I'm proud of my progress so far and I want to feel good in my clothes now.18 -
Finally cold enough here in Lux to wear a proper winter coat... I found a full-length down coat here recently and it actually fit. I have never, ever worn a full length coat before - they just wouldn't fit properly with my previous body shape. Yay. Now I will be toasty warm all winter!21
-
that I would stick with it through a 7 week stall and come out of it stronger then going in!!
yay to no more dieting and a lifestyle change instead. I never REALLY got the difference till this time around.23
