I have a wedding this weekend. I discovered none of my dresses fit. I raided my niece's closet (she has gone from a size 16 to a size 8) for old clothes and found a dress she never wore. Put it on and it fits! It's an XL. XL from a regular store! 6 months ago I was a size 20 from the big girl store!! It's a wee bit snug in the rib cage but gosh dammit I'm wearing that dress.42

Similar situation to @spring913 , we were invited to dinner with some friends last weekend. Gave myself a little extra time before leaving to try a few things on... CLOTHING CRISIS! Nothing fit. Everything seemed like a tent. I actually wanted to wear something more form-fitting instead of hiding in a boxy top.
I have had little reason to buy new clothes this past year. I really need to prioritize it now (though I don't enjoy it). I do have one new pair of jeans that my husband said I was looking good in yesterday, so maybe that will drive me to the store.15 -
did the seasonal closet change this weekend. I now have a laundry basket of clothes that are too big and will probably find more as I got tired of trying things on toward the end of the afternoon. Fortunately my daughter is great at thrift store shopping so have some things that still work as I continue to lose.7

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, it's one that my daughter and I try to make the most of. After 4 years, I'm living a lifelong dream of owning a custom made Superman costume. That's me as Jor-el in 2012.

i did my negative chinups off the bar at the top of the cage yesterday. i normally go to the assisted-pullup machine, drop the seat and jump up into the starting position - chin over the bar - from the little platform.
the 'steps' on the cage are much lower than that. and the bar is much higher. i was taking my grip and doing the jump with my arms at full stretch, and believe me, jumping isn't my thing. so i got up there for the second or third one and realised i'd done the last part of the ascent - the lockout part - all by myself.11 -

Yes, you can! OK, it took me reaching my mid-50's before I let go of "what will others see" and decided upon "what will I enjoy doing" - but it works (and swimming is great exercise). Don't short change yourself!
My NSV today - on vacation, brought last year's shorts / beach clothes, and it's a good thing I brought a belt because the shorts are falling off!
PS - major kudos to Jamallgle / Superman. Wear it with pride!

LOL. Maybe I'm just not old enough yet.... I think I do own a bathing suit, but only because it was in a bag of clothes someone gave me. I'm pretty sure I kept it, just in case I gained enough courage someday.1 -
Go buy yourself a bathing suit you like. They come in many styles and dare to wear it. Life is too short to wait for "someday". No one else really cares about what you look like on the beach.14

My NSV is my mum
I saw her this weekend and she admitted (to my husband) that my weightloss had been an inspiration to her to loose as well
She has lost so much now that for the first time in 15 years, I think, I saw her in a nice cheerful dress, looking great. She also has been persuaded to join another walking group and is setting up line dancing for older ladies in her home town. That means she will be working out moderately 4 times a week. She always hated exercise and sports.
So proud of her.55 -

Agree with this. If you can find a swim wear store near you go there and have them help you find a suit that fits you and the type of swimming you want to do. We have a great one here in Des Moines and even when I was at my highest weight they were able to find a suit that worked for me. Can't wait to go back once I am at my goal weight and maybe sooner before the next Hawaii trip.5 -
Wearing a pair of size 4 jeans today! I don't think I've been in this size since... High school? Junior high? It's crazy!24

I survived my birthday, I logged everything I ate, knowing that I would go over my calories intentionally yesterday. I put in a little more than 2000 calories after a big bowl of chili with sour cream and cheese and one of each kind of fun-size candy bar from our Halloween candy.
Today, I'm right back at it, and it feels GREAT.
My biggest takeaway from a special occasion day was that going to bed after a 2000 calorie day doesn't feel that different from a 1250 calorie day and my fears of falling off the wagon were for naught. It was just another day that happened to have more calories because it was special.
I was super nervous because Tuesday AM is my weigh in day. Rationally I know 2000 calories wouldn't show up the next morning (and didn't, I ended up 2.5lbs down for the week). I know I will have to be on-point for the next few weeks to Thanksgiving when there's another "special over calorie day" but I totally feel like I can do it.38 -

Got back to my Jillian 30 Day Shred video this morning - first time in over 2 years. Did all of Level 1 and didn't quit or have to stop during! Pretty sure I am going to feel it the next few days but I will keep going!12

I made it to the last hole on my belt. When I started I couldn't even make it to the first hole. So far I have gone from size 38 jeans to 32 and I think it's time to by some 30s cause my pants feel very loose. I never thought it was possible to get below size 34 pants.20

I have been sick for 5 days and I noticed that I am desperately missing my exercise routines. I don't know how I spent so many years doing nothing active day after day!
Also, I survived Halloween and only ate 4 mini chocolate bars - that has never happened in my life. I have always eaten until I felt sick.20 -
Hubby admitted to checking out my butt last night when I was getting ready for bed, and liking what he saw...

My birthday is Sunday and I've already planned to go over calories that day and Thanksgiving. My goal is to then NOT be over the rest of the month :-)6 -

You have a great attitude for success. You've also developed the success habits that will guide you through this journey.
To put things in perspective I went on vacation about 3 weeks ago for 8 days. Ate too much, drank too much. I know couple days I probably drank 2000 calories alone. Right now I'm probably a pound over my weight before I left for the trip.
For this to succeed you have to enjoy the journey. I wouldn't have traded anything that I ate or drink when I was on vacation. I firmly believe that if I denied myself when I was on vacation it would eventually lead to failure long-term. Literally the day I came back from vacation I went back to the success pattern that I developed with no regrets and no stress.22 -

I'm a licensed Zumba instructor as of Sunday and I already have a couple of gigs in place! Lol I requested a month to fine tune some of my Own routines before putting this show on the road! :-)
I am indeed a Cardio Queen but I've firmly incorporated weights (outside of my
Body weight which I've been doing for over a year) 3 times a week as well! :-)12 -

I have no idea. I used to do it as a kid, then one day decided to get back to that level. Maybe a year or longer. I wasn't very aggressive with trying.5 -
Today, I reached healthy BMI!!! I don't think I have been a healthy BMI since high school.48
