I would like to join also. I am presently only walking 2K or 3K steps. My goal will be to try to do 4K steps daily I need the encouragement and I need the consistency that hopefully this group will provide.

michelleepotter-how are you doing the imaginary walk across Texas. Did you just make it up yourself or is there a website you used or something? I would love to do something like this.
If my memory serves she made the virtual walk on her own. Anyone can do that if they are so inclined. You could have a destination and look up highlights or fun spots along the way. I used to belong to a group that virtually walked across the US and we would highlight certain spot/points of interest as we added up the miles.

Hey everyone! I'd love to join in! At the start of November my step goal was to hit 10k a day. But a few days ago I've upped it to 15k a day. And I've been doing well above that because of the Fitbit challenges have been putting a fire under my butt to keep moving I'll get together my steps for the first 8days an post again in a few. Hope everyone's hitting their goals!!!4

I'm taking an imaginary Walk Across Texas: 857 miles down I-10, from the Louisiana border to El Paso. Since June 1st, I have walked 380.24 miles. Last stop: Kerrville, TX (mile 369). Next stop: Mountain Home, TX (mile 387).[/quote]

Body told me I was not quite ready to up my steps yet and unfortunately on my walk last night I had a random puppy jump up on me and I couldn't protect my incision area so that set me back on recovery a bit and slowed my pace significantly but c'est la vie. Keep chugging away at life :>)

Ok, I'm jumping in late here! Trying to find the energy to walk when I'm exhausted all the time. Not severely overweight, but I've gained a gradual 20 extra lbs. due to some minor health issues. Embracing my fitbit!6
