Ok, everyone's stuffing sugarplums, goose fat roasties, and stuffing into every orifice.
What do you do?
Nut roast and marmite water?
Full naughty blow out and a trip to the vomitorium?
The same diet food as usual?

diet and Christmas in the same sentence....
Its only a few days of indulgent eating so I will enjoy and then after Boxing Day it'll be back to normal eating...simple and very effective I've found from previous years10 -
Diet break. I have lunch/dinner with my brother and sister-in-law tomorrow, a potluck Thursday, the actual day, and breakfast out with my coworkers next Monday. Next Tuesday or Wednesday it'll be back to a deficit.5
-
Will probably try and get out of the house for a few hours, my sibling and their obnoxious partner who hate Christmas will be there, so it will be toxic. Might go for a walk.6
-
Diet break. I've been maintaining for a while now but I'll take a diet break for about 10 days or 2 weeks and then sometime in early January I'll get back into it again.
I do, however, plan to exercise my butt off ... because that's how I celebrate things.4 -
festive break off counting calories on Christmas. I plan being naughty5

We keep Christmas Day food pretty simple. I'll have a cinnamon roll, bacon, and coffee at breakfast. Then we'll have a late lunch/early dinner that's going to be ham, mashed potatoes, veggies, and rolls. Probably a cookie for dessert.
I am just getting over the flu and still not too hungry, but for some reason I am craving applesauce. It was the actual influenza flu, not a stomach bug, so no upset stomach, which makes me wonder why I am craving applesauce of all things. Anyway, yesterday I bought a jar of regular applesauce, a jar of cinnamon applesauce, and a box of those applesauce pouches. So apparently I am going to be feasting on applesauce this week.4 -

Pretty much this. I try to enjoy the time with family and friends, enjoy my favorite food and drink, enjoy some exercise (it's a great stress relief at a busy time of the year) and have perspective. This is my fourth year on MFP. I've gone from trying to being super strict and keeping my normal deficit to saying "all bets are off" and eating what I want, and everything in between. I've never done any "diet damage" that wasn't undone in the first two weeks of January. It's not worth stressing about - so I'm going to relax, have fun, and indulge sensibly.3 -
Yeah, I am gonna go full Henry VIII for three or four days. Then spend the new year on the naughty step.11

1) Increase calories to current maintenance (3000)
2) Keep workout frequency/intensity etc
3) Increase activity level, especially walking to boost TDEE.
If I can maintain or lose weight for 2 weeks I'll be happy.5 -
I'm bulking so it will be a free for all.
Ha I say that but in reality my eyes are always bigger than my stomach5 -

Despite a multitude of parties this week, I'm going to try keeping a small deficit of around 100-250cals and keep my exercise regime, which means even working out Chrismas eve (love it because the gym's empty).
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, all bets are off. Not too many days do I intentionally forgo logging.3 -
im eating , i hear were having steaks Christmas eve ..1

Pretty much this. Big breakfast, big dinner, a few hundred snacks in between cos I just can't fit it all into meal times, then from the 27th on wards back to usual. Can't do too much damage in 2 days, right. Right??7 -
This is my season for excess. I purchased 2 cakes and a pie as well as a box of single-serving size cakes, from Collin Street Bakery. I'm a fruitcake fan. I have my seasonal fruitcake in small portions for several weeks with a little help from my family and reserve the pecan pie for Christmas day. In the past 7 days I've lost 8 lb, and I expect to go over my calorie target on Christmas day, with that sugar bomb. But hey, if I can be at my lightest weight in 30 years for that, I won't lament.7

I am planning on a good walk to work a bit off too, but I still intend eating a van full.1 -

Oh how I miss the old days. Up to the age of 20, I ate as much as a small army, but could NOT get as fat or musclier as a broom. Now I touch a photo of a burger and my skin assimilates the fat by osmosis.8 -

i hear ya , one look and i gain 5 pounds now lol
Good luck everyone and have a Merry Christmas2 -
Christmas morning 5k run followed by a solid eat-drink-and-be-merry all day session. Will try some moderation on Xmas eve or Boxing day, like making more sensible snack and portion choices.3
-
Eat whatever I want on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in whatever quantities I like.
The rest of the time eat sensibly.
Any excess weight to be dealt with in January.2 -
I plan to stay on diet as much as possible, but would be happy with maintaining my current weight! I will just eat smaller portions when I go off diet, work out when I can and maayyyybeee reduce my alcohol intake. HA. I'm just kidding about that last one; It hurts to even joke about that2
-
When I was actively losing weight, I weighed, measured, and logged my food within my calorie goal for the day. Now I weigh. measure, and log my food in portions/amounts I want. Xmas is one of my IDGAF days.4

^This. Except I'm 'murrican and we don't have Boxing Day.2 -
I have no diet plans, Terry...I'll eat exactly the same way I've been eating for the last year...except I may have a piece of cake or something.3
-
I am in maintenance and will stay that way till January. I won't log on Christmas Day, I'll call it 4000 calories and let my hair down.
But I think I will pick an orifice and stick to it, personally.4 -
Last year I gave myself permission to have a diet and logging break during the "holidays" which ended up being from October to late January and I gained back half of what I had lost. I'm not doing that again this year. Christmas Eve is always a potluck at my mom's house, Christmas Day is usually going back to mom's house to open gifts and nibble on the leftovers from the night before. This year I'm also planning an evening with friends at some point between now and New Year's. So that's a maximum of 3 days that I have something planned that involves food. I'll try to eat at or below maintenance for those 3 days and maybe try to get in some extra workouts if possible.4
-
I'll be eating, drinking, and being merry! The holidays are a time for enjoying family and friends, not stressing about calories.
I'm in maintenance so I'm not "dieting" but I'll be getting back to my normal eating routine after the new year. There will be too many leftovers until then2 -

I have a walk planned on boxing day which is a fair distance so should give me some more calories to enjoy.1 -
For Christmas Eve, my mom is making black beans and rice with Italian sausage and Cuban style roast pork loin. I don't get this very often, so I will be eating it ALL, with no logging.3
-
I'm not really one for stuffing myself with food until I feel ill...I don't really get that. I'm making a cranberry glazed ham, brown butter roasted green beans with bacon, mushrooms, and roasted potatoes...I'll have a plate of food and desert and call it a day.6
