No. I'm eating everything for Christmas dinner. One big dinner won't make a bit of difference in the progress I've made this month.16

I don't have a problem with having salad, in fact I love salad, but I will just be eating normal portion sizes of whatever.1
-
No. We'll have a veggie tray and brussels sprouts because they are tasty but not out of a specific desire to be healthy.3

Salad for Christmas dinner? You mean only salad?
LOL. LOLOL. LOLOLOL.
No.22 -
yes salad, green beans, grilled chicken, baked potatoe, and NO DESSERT!1

Along with turkey, cranberry and veggies, yes, I will be having a salad. Diets have to be sustainable. Feast days are part of life.13

Nah. Why not eat fun things on holidays? As long as it's occasional, I eat what I want on special days.
But I am alone this year which means I eat what I choose, not "traditional" family favorites! Mjadrah, tatziki and fresh baked pita and some baklava, yum. Oh and some quinoa/cranberry/bean super salad, I guess that counts as salad.1 -
I am eating healthy for Christmas dinner - ham, acorn squash, green beans, Brussels sprouts with bacon... I will skip the mashed potatoes and dinner roll to make room for pie, which I suppose is "unhealthy".
Why do you imagine grilled chicken and salad to be the only "healthy" foods in existence? I'd wager most people will be having a number of healthy foods on Christmas Day, with a few treats mixed in for fun and festivity.3 -
Just NO! Life is too short not to enjoy yourself! I've been doing this for years and I've still lost the weight and maintained for over 2 years now. I cheat, cheat and cheat on holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. The other days of the year I work out and watch what I eat. I won't watch tomorrow and probably not the next day either (family coming from out of town) and I won't have an ounce of regret. I won't step on the scale either *gasp*5

Hell no! I'm eating turkey, brisket, and a holiday roast. All. Of. It. Our family celebrates all the blessings we received over this last year during this last week of the year. And, yeah, we do it with festive and indulgent foods.5

I'm not exactly a salad lover on any other day of year, but to (what I assume is) your point - I'm staying on my diet throughout. It's just another day. Oddly, Christmas Day marks day 100 of my diet... I haven't been interested in cheat days in any of those 100 days, and Christmas is no different for me.
There's only two of us in the house, and it halves the cooking responsibility and cost of holiday food. Everyone wins.2 -

Surely you jest
There might be one salad on the table this year, and it'll be a calorific ceaser salad.4 -
I can have those any other day of the year. I'll eat Christmas food (spiral ham, desserts, etc.) and enjoy myself.7
-
Heck no, techno! I love salad, but Christmas only comes once a year!2
-
I will have a big ol' salad to kick things off. I'll eat other stuff, which I've planned for, but the salad will be a big part of my meal1
-
My Christmas dinner didn't go exactly as planned. Because of too much date and pecan pie for second lunch, dinner had to be one piece of pork rib, an apple and a few sugar snap peas. Hell, I'll make up for it tomorrow.0

No, because my family decided we'd like to have special burgers for Christmas this year and I can eat whatever I want. I have made homemade buns. I am throwing some spinach on my burger and other ingredients that might go in a salad. It isn't less healthy than grilled chicken or salad and it will be tasty.
I am logging my food as I do every day and don't really plan to exceed my maintenance level calories for the day1 -
Does mac & cheese count as a salad? I put broccoli in it so that should count as healthy.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow I am not worrying too much about calories. I have worked out all week and later I will be getting on the rower to work off some of the oatmeal cookies that I am baking later tonight.
I get it that some people want to stay on track but for me taking a few days off now and then is enjoyable.
Last week I asked my son what he wanted for the holidays...we didn't pick the typical. Yesterday was pizza day. Today was burgers with the mac & cheese with oatmeal cookies for Christmas Eve. Tomorrow will be stuffed pork chops...more mac & cheese and some roasted vegetables...maybe some snickerdoodles.5 -
You mean like potato salad or egg salad right? Yup, on the side of my turkey, pork, cranberries, stuffing, yams with candied pecan crust, mashed potatoes, date pinwheel cookies, chocolates, candied nuts, shortbread cookies, and then dessert which is usually a couple options for pies and various things served with whipped cream. I will take smaller portions of everything, but it's only the one day and I would rather enjoy my time with my family than worry about the number of calories I'm eating.3
-
Not me. I eat salads all the time. I will be eating the special holiday foods and not feeling guilty at all about it. Plus I eat "unhealthy" and "healthy" foods every day. I will probably just have a few more servings than usual.4
-
Not one morsel of salad shall pass these lips tomorrow.
Not. One.13 -
What are your plans, OP?1
-
Hell no.

No way. It's Christmas, plus I'm bulking. All the foods are belong to me !2

I will be having a wilted spinach salad with bacon and cranberries and slivered almonds. And I will be having ham, au gratin potatoes, brussel sprouts homemade pie and ice cream. The spinach calories will cancel out the pie and ice cream calories, right? And we are having cinnamon rolls for breakfast, think I need a veggie to cancel out those calories?
I've been on maintenance for awhile and I have figured out that not paying attention on a few holidays makes absolutely no difference and I enjoy celebrating those days. As long as it's just a day here and there. I am usually way over on sodium though so I expect a few days of water weight.6
