Hey all - I have about 100 pounds I'd like to lose this year. I'd like to have a spot where I can hold myself accountable. Feel free to join in and post your progress weekly. I am starting at 260 pounds. My first goal is to hit 175 and from there I'd like to hit 150.

I'm wanting to lose 50-60 lbs this year. Starting weight was 200 lbs. I'm down to 196 lbs. goal weight is 130-150. With muscles lol.5

Loss for January: -8lbs Goal
Life stresses got the worst of me which include sugar, bread, pasta, fried foods, sweets and just about anything that is unhealthy for you. I've been really cutting back on all the trigger foods and removing them from the home and our every day meal plans. I've been going strong with SouthBeach for the last few days and it's going OK so far.2 -
So what's everyone's game plan?
I'll be swimming 3-4 days/week, prepping, tracking (honestly!) and drinking water! No specific food plan yet, but working cleaner foods back in to my days.2 -
Really need to join and lose.

Just a note guys- 2 lbs/week is fine initially for those who have a lot to lose, but it's not really practical to pursue as a long-range strategy. Also, I'm seeing several posts from people with fairly low starting weights, and 2 lbs/week is not going to be very practical. I am 5'9" & just over 200 and there is no way I could consistently achieve 2 lbs/week at this point. Don't want to dampen anyone's enthusiasm- definitely set your goals and work hard- but be realistic with your expectations. Best wishes, everyone1

Agreed. Personally I am happy with 1- 1.5 pounds. Considering we just past the holiday season I was satified with no gain!1 -
