Ways to meet the goal --
1) Started Martial Arts to support 7yo in her Martial Arts Class.
2) Will do training outside class to help her attain Honor Roll or higher (in Martial Arts). Lead and encourage by example.
3) Drag family to family fun day at Y.
4) Start swimming again (even if it is just once a week!)
5) Seriously track but don't get upset by off days!
I'm not going to compare myself to others. I will cheer for others but remember that they are not me. We all have ups and downs. Set backs happen and I will not let them defeat me.

I'd like to join too! I just started MFP last week and I'd like to use my one week stats retroactively! I'm losing less than 26 lbs but I suspect it's going to take me 26 weeks to get where I want to be--I've been trying to lose this extra weight for so long!

I'm new to MFP. I'm a recreational athlete (runner, triathlete) who struggles with portion control. I eat a lot for my short height. I've been trying to lose this extra 12 lbs for the past 18 months with no luck so I'm hoping being accountable will help.
I'm expecting the first 3-5 lbs to come off at about 1lb a week, then I suspect it's going to slow down but if I can keep the progress going even at fractions of a lb per week till I hit my goal weight, I'll be happy.
