Hello All! I always love the first weigh-in in January as I know I will put up a big number. I hit the gym hard this week and logged all my food. I know this is mostly water weight, but it is a nice way to start off the new year!

I had a great first week and stuck to my daily calories every day except for last night, but only went over by 105 calories and it was pumpkin seeds, so I didn't feel as bad.
For anyone wondering, I am a 6’2, 42 year old male. I lost 75 lbs. in 2015 and fell of the wagon Halloween weekend that year. I never recovered and slowly gained most of it back. I always drop a lot the first week or so, but then it slows down a lot. My biggest advice for anyone is get strong with the mental game and the rest will follow. If you fall off one day, it’s ok…don’t get discouraged and get right back on the next day. Don’t let one day turn into two days, which will quickly turn into a week and so on. I weigh myself every day and readjust my calories. There’s argument for and against this, but do what works for you. I personally like holding myself accountable. Best of luck to all.7 -
