Ketogenic Diet starting off hard

Options
Hey! I just started a Keto diet about 5 days ago and I have found that it is very difficult. Everything that tastes good has carbs lol. Any tips on how to keep carbs low and to stay with the diet plan??

Bacon bacon bacon lololol...sorry, just had to. I just started a moderate carb intake Low carb High fat diet and have similar issues, as fruit is considered too carb loaded, however, berries are not considered part of that as the sugar content is relatively low in them, so I pop them like sweets when I feel a craving coming on. Sorry, I'm not a huge amount of help am I? Try the berries, I don't know. Plus, not EVERYTHING that is tasty is carb loaded, they may have a few carbs, but not huge amounts. Maybe you should start with moderate carbs before going the full keto, so your body and mind can get used to the idea more slowly.

If you google keto recipes, you'll find some amazing, delicious recipes. One of my favorites is Keto Pepperoni Pizza. Or Fathead pizza. You also make carb-like things by substituting flour with almond or coconut flour (but, you might want to avoid this if you think it's going to start carb-cravings for you).

If you don't do much cooking for yourself, it can be difficult to find easy to grab foods. There are plenty of recipes out there that are delicious, but you have to put some time & effort in to cooking if you want variety.

Not sure where you are from, but plenty of fast food places can accomodate low carb, bunless options. Jimmy John's makes the "unwich" style of sub wrapped in lettuce (highly recommend extra sauces & meats).

these have been a couple of my quick lunches:

Arby's mid-roast beef w/ lettuce, tomato, mayo, no bun
