I am just 3 lbs from no longer being obese. Hoping to reach overweight land by the end of January!20

I have an appointment on January 11th for my annual checkup with my general practitioner. Last year, he pretended to be excited that I had lost 8 lbs between January 2015 and December 2015. I weighed 234 at the end of December 2015, and my goal is to get down to 184 by my January 11 2017 appointment. That would be a 50-lb loss and I think he would be excited for real! I'm at 192-193 today, normally losing 1.5 to 2lbs / week so I think 8 lbs in 6 weeks is do-able.
UPDATE:
Well, I got down to 185 according to his scale but 182 according to mine. He was still happy that I lost 49 lbs over the year. Then he asked what my goal weight is. I told him 150, possibly down to 140. He told me to try for 135, and that anything over 150 at my height (5 ft 5") is still too much. My bubble of happiness has temporarily burst. He gave me a year to do it, so I'll reset some mini goals after I recover from the gut-punch. So my next goal is to get rid of all my size 16 pants and XXL tops and fit into all size 14 jeans and Large tops. That should happen within 6 weeks, when all the stores start bringing out the cute spring clothes.20 -

I love Pi Day! Maybe for all the wrong reasons. That's the day I eat 3.14159 servings of pie in all of its varied forms -- quiche, pizza, and berry pie.9 -

I finally made that mini-goal of being in the elusive ONEderland for the first time since 1995. My next mini-goal is to lose 5.6 lbs so I can be half the woman I once was. (Currently down 188 lbs from highest). The non-scale mini-goal is to get in 1-2 bike rides a week and at least one brick workout a week.18

Lose 4 more lbs. That'll get me to 170.5, which is 80lbs total lost. Then back to maintenance for a bit.6

My partner and I have a competition. He's working to get at least two visible abs in 50 days by diet and exercise. I'm working to lose 30 pnds in 50 days. Who ever gets there first or exceeds the goal by the most wins. I'll update in February!16

Being able to fit comfortably in my size 6 jeans again. When I first started mfp in late October, I couldn't get those jeans over my butt! Now 14 lbs down, I can button them up. But need to lose a few more pounds yet.11

What is on the line for this? 30 lbs in less than 2 months is a pretty aggressive goal though. Make sure you don't overdo it and not hurt yourself in the process.0 -

It's taken 10 wks to lose 5 lbs. I'm now a little less than 5 away from my goal of 125! I can barely believe it! (All these exclamation points!!!)
Almost as soon as I posted this, I bounced back up to 133ish. Argh. Today, I am 129.2.
Next mini goals:
-- No more bouncing back up!

Woot! 127.4 today! 2.4 lbs to go to my goal weight.
Seriously, I could cry. I NEVER thought I'd be able to get here ... How awesomely ridiculous is it that my New Year's Resolution is to lose 2.4 lbs!?
I DID IT: 125.0 lbs today!
This is both my mini-goal and my overall weight loss goal. Over 100 lbs gone!
Did the happy dance for a few seconds and am now setting a new goal: 120. I'm barely 5'1" and could lose some more, so I'll keep going.
