Aiming to ride my bike at least once a week, along with my other training goals.6 -

I'm doing 10 lbs mini goals, too! I'm close to meeting my next one. Congrats!4 -

Just 5 more pounds until I'm no longer obese! Just wanting to get back into my routine since I was out with strep throat!8

1. get average 10K steps for the entire week (7k and 11k on monday and tuesday respectively)
2. want to run a 5K race in March. Just signed up for it. But, I AM NOT A RUNNER.. I guess just enough time left for C25K training..
3. try not to weigh myself every now and then. next weigh in scheduled for friday.5 -
STAY under 200. I made it to 185 and gained back 20. I keep jump roping over the 200 line, and when I'm over 200 I have a lot of issues with my lower back (or I guess, I didn't have any problems for the several months I was under 200!)
I had a sciatica flare up a couple weeks ago and getting back to working out is hard (pinching and numbness in the leg ftw! -_-) but I'm attending a wedding in two weeks and I WILL be wearing heels gosh darn it!
Hi,
You are right about sciatica and weight.
Try planks and other core strengthening exercises (cat and cow position, cobra position, boat position) for the weeks leading up to the wedding. and make sure the footwear u use on a daily basis have good contour and cushioning.
I had same issue. these exercises helped like a charm and I have not had a flare up in almost 2 years now.3 -
Felt confident enough to sign up for the London -Readng charity bike ride on March 17...but it will take some practicing for...3

1. Lower my cholesterol.
2. Be able to zip up my favorite pair of black boots again. I'm getting closer!
3. I initially wanted to lose 20 lbs. 7 to go.

Mainly: stop boozing and binging like it's Christmas every day.
More generally: Look awesome by May (for cousin's wedding and a hen do to Amsterdam). A lb a week will be a stone off which will make a dress size of a difference.

20 pounds to focus on at the moment!3
-
I work in 5lb increments. Next up 205 (~2lbs to go) then 200 for that onederland badge, then 195 for my halfway to target milestone.4

I'll be 35 in 11 days, so I'd like this year to be my fittest yet!
Goals: Run 50-60 miles this month.
Weight: Don't obsess over the scale (I weight train and do cardio), but lose 2 lbs. before 35th birthday!6 -
January 1, 2017: My current mini-goal is to wear my jeans again comfortably. I think I'm only a week or two out from that. They're hanging on a wall hook near my bed. Taunting me.
I love this thread and hope everyone will continue to report in as they meet their goals and create new ones. Very inspiring!
Ok, revised estimate. I think I'm only 3 days out from that! I wore them out today to my birthday lunch, along with a shirt that had been getting a bit snug.
Next mini-goal: Reach 207 lbs, when I will officially be merely "overweight." 10 lbs to go. My celebration will be a starting to assemble a small home gym set-up: A large workout mat, intervals timer, and posting a print-out of my bodyweight workout on the wall.4 -
My mini goal is to drop the 5 pounds I gained in December to get back down to my lowest recent weight of 194.3
-
I am 8 pounds away from 30% lost from my highest weight. I'm giving myself 3 weeks max to get those pounds down and the goal reached. I can taste it.10
-
I made my original goal of 220 by my birthday now I am only have a couple of pounds to lose and then I will have under 100 Lbs to lose. The big one after that is to break 200! That will be huge! Once I get to to 189 I will be half of my original body weight!

My next mini goal is to be in the 180s. This week or next, I think! So close!5

It's taken 10 wks to lose 5 lbs. I'm now a little less than 5 away from my goal of 125! I can barely believe it! (All these exclamation points!!!)
Almost as soon as I posted this, I bounced back up to 133ish. Argh. Today, I am 129.2.
Next mini goals:
-- No more bouncing back up!
-- 127
Woot! 127.4 today! 2.4 lbs to go to my goal weight.
Seriously, I could cry. I NEVER thought I'd be able to get here ... How awesomely ridiculous is it that my New Year's Resolution is to lose 2.4 lbs!?

My mini goal is to stay steadfast for this whole month in sticking to my calorie limit and excersising daily. Hopefully see some weight loss!2
-
I've hit every goal I've given myself, although December's was close.
Next goal is 264. That will be 20% of my weight gone. About 10 pounds from current.
After that, 257 will have me at Obese I.
I have goal dates in my head, but I need to stop doing that and just focus on the goal itself.7 -
Reading everyone's goals has really helped to keep me determined. I have my own goals in my head but don't really put them on paper so maybe this will help. :-)
1. 222lb weigh-in: This will put me at exactly 40 pounds lost even though I even lied on MFP when I started this time so it doesn't think I have lost that much.
2. 207lb weigh-in: This is how much I weighed when I met my partner and I was actually happy with my size.
3. 180lb: this would get me out of the obese category that I have been in for about 95% of my life.
I try not to focus too much on those weight goals and just make sure I am working at this everyday. Non-scale goals:
1. log 300 miles in 2017: So far I am a little over 7.
2. Start NROLFW
3. Fit into a size 16: right now I am wearing mostly 18/20s but I do have 2 pair of 16w jeans that fit so hopefully this isn't too far off.5 -
Four Plate Bench.5

My mini goals/challenges this month:
8000 steps/day
50 push ups/day
30 sec plank/day
50 squads/day
Run 2 miles a week
1 Yoga class/video a week
I love to check things off my to-do list, so I've found that these little goals are best for me. I'm working on maintaining my weight and getting a little bit more strong. We have a weight loss competition that's 5% of our body weight by April, so that's my only scale goal for now.3 -
To lose 12lbs by 3rd Feb as I have a posh event2
-
My next mini goal is to be in the 220's - that's four pounds away. I keep bouncing up and down a pound each day for the last couple weeks. Really following my calories closely, just not happening yet! Then it's on to next goal of 222 which would be my lowest in the last 25 years!
Thank you everyone for continuing to post here, it's what keeps me on track!4 -
#1- Continue logging so I can see 500 day streak. 41 days to go
#2- Resist the urge for drinking wine when I get home from work. The holidays started a nasty behavior pattern that needs broken asap
#3- Log accurately, even after I get home from work. Been slacking on this part of my day for a while. Scale is creeping up again.6 -
My goal is that I'd like to get back into the 10% bodyfat zone. I'm guessing that the checkered flag will be waving at somewhere around 184lbs (84kg).1
-
I have a tee shirt I want to wear , and to get below 150 k1
