It's a random thought, but it's a real strategy. By its nature, you can't tell if someone is ineffective, or evidently clueless, or needlessly confrontational because that's how they are, or if it's a deliberate attempt to appear less capable than they really are, and under that cover advance a strategy that you would ordinarily oppose if you recognized the threat. You have to admit, it's hard to tell.
