I ordered a new wardrobe in a misses XXL. I had to return four shirts because they were too big. I also got a shock from seeing my quads pop in my new tighter jeggings. I had been feeling them there for awhile but thought I was still a long way from actually seeing any muscle with so much fat left to lose. Everything went through the drier too since without so much tummy to cover non-petite clothes are too long on me if hung to dry.19

Have lost almost 0kg. Scale has been very stubborn, but went to measure my waist for online shopping and I have lost 7cm on my waist...yesss... I double checked. . Gave me the encouragement to get back on the bike today.30

Had to return a coat for a smaller size because it was simply too big! Also, wearing a shirt TUCKED in with a belt and I look good! Yup...I said that. I look good.36

I woke up to find my pajama bottoms all twisted and half way down my bum because they were too big!! Time for some new PJs!!30

Deadlifted 315 pounds (6 45 lb plates) for 5 reps. I've never done that much before (50 yo).33

I read a lot on here about people saving a pair of jeans from 1998 or whatever just waiting to fit into them and I always thought that was weird. But then I assessed my own closet honestly and found that I too have a bad habit of keeping clothes that were too small "just in case."
Anyway, now those clothes are too big. Of course! You can't win lol24 -
Had a pretty awful food day yesterday, came in around 3000 calories when my goal is between 1400 and 1600 lol but my NSV is that instead of letting one day dictate my weekend or even my week/month, I got up this morning and started logging for today with plans to hit the gym this afternoon!40

I have a quirky NSV to share lol. When I go out the door for a walk or run our furbaby cat Max follows me to the first corner of our road then turns back for home, he knows that I will be gone for ages lol.
However if someone infrequent joins me (i.e one of my daughters) he follows us for longer (which is not safe of course so we scoop him up and take him home before trying again) this makes me think he's not used to someone joining me so we probably wont go far hehe.21 -

I have jeans from 1984! Will I ever wear them outside the house? Of course not (except maybe to an 80's theme party lol). The reason I keep them is to remind me of what I was and what I can be again. When I last wore them I was a serious runner, but then I somehow allowed myself to gain 100 pounds (what a nice even number). Will I ever fit into those jeans again? Maybe. Maybe not. But so far I've lost 86 pounds and ran my first 5k last fall. And still know all the words to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I achieved my New Year's resolution in 28 days! During the holidays, I read somewhere that being able to go from sitting cross-legged on the floor to standing, without using your arms or knees, was a good fitness test (people who can do that tend to live longer, or something). When I first tried to do it, it was like my body had no clue what I was even asking it to do.
Well, here I am 28 days into the New Year and from a combo of losing some weight, running, and strength training, I did it today!
Twice.
Onto training to do my very first pull-up at the age of 38.36 -

My "ultimate goal dress" is something I've had since about 1985 - I don't think it's dated because it's a simple style and not obviously 80's (cap-sleeve summer dress, not a shoulder pad in sight!) so I'm hoping that I will actually be able to wear it. I probably have 20-25lbs to go before I can fit into it again.
And I still love 80's music too!16 -
You clothing-keepers must have ginormous closets. Or a high tolerance for overstuffed ones.9

Went out to the bar with my family last night (husband, parents, 3 aunts & 2 uncles) and instead of ordering my usual buffalo chicken sandwich and 5 beers I ate steamed shrimp and ONE wine spritzer. Winning.31

I had stuff in boxes for a few years. Now, the majority of it is in my (admittedly quite stuffed) closet because I finally fit into it, but it'll thin out again as I gradually shrink out of these and have nothing left to replace them with...
At some point I guess I'll have to go shopping, but I'm good for a while yet!6 -
@SueSueDio - Maybe if we averaged our closets, we'd make one normal one.
I have about one week's worth of clothing in my closet. The only other clothes I have are in a box that has my summer-specific stuff -- again, just one week's worth. Definitely a minimalist. I've wondered if that'll change once I can more easily find nice clothes in my size. We shall see!6 -
I think that at the moment I'm so happy to see so many things I can actually wear, that I like having them all in view! I do have some things in there that aren't necessarily season-specific, e.g. t-shirts while it's still winter, but I can layer those under other shirts or sweaters so they do still get some use. Besides which, if I put them away until summer, they'll be too big and won't get worn at all! (See that confidence, there? That's new too! )
I realised something yesterday, too. I'd been a little disappointed that some of my tops are not yet baggy, despite me losing something like 20lbs more since I started wearing them. Then it dawned on me that when I first started wearing them, they were stretching to fit me. Now, they're a little loose - so not "baggy" yet, but on the way there! That made me feel a lot better about my progress!

Hubby hugged me in bed this morning and said you are beautiful This 71 year old with loose skin and wrinkles (since losing over 30lbs) will take that. I love this thread you are all so inspirational61

I bought jeans and a bathing suit from costco without trying them on and they were not plus size.
I got home tried on tje jeans and they fit size 14 "normal" size. (was a tight 20 in may) I was dancing around.
Tried on the bathing suit....something I always struggle wearing in public (at home at the pool I swim laps) and I didn't hate it...I was like it kinda looks OK I can rock this suit on vacation!! feeling good in a bathing suit.....is amazing. don't get me wrong I'm halfway to where I need to be but the loss of 66 pounds made a huge difference for me.42 -
After a few too many years of denial.... I got back on the scale this morning!
(I have to start somewhere)
That is the hardest part!! when I started in may and I got on the scale I weighed 50 lbs more than I thought I did. that was hard cause I felt like I had to loose 50 to be where I was the day before.
I tried to focus on all the nsv along the way!!22 -

My resting heart rate is down to 67! It was at 92!39

Today I went shopping, I was a little nervous as I hadn't been in ages and had no idea what size I would be. I took in the UK size 16 I thought I would be and a few size 14's to see how far off I was. All of the size 14's fit nicely Can't believe I'm back into a size 14 (in the brands I tried on).
I also grabbed a belt off the rack as mine was too big and I needed a new one; I couldn't see measurements on the belts so I grabbed an 'L' as I thought that would be right. Turns out I should have tried it on as I'm on the last hole on my new belt as well...so I'm an 'M'. So happy!

Went through my closet and got rid of almost all my 3x clothes cause they were to big and tried on some old 2x and 1x and they fit or will within probably 10lbs!28

Not for the first time but very noticeably, now when I do up the seatbelt on an aeroplane, there is extra belt - I really enjoy puuuullllling it through the buckle and admiring its handsome centimetres. Not so long ago it barely did up at all, and cut me in two.

When I started this journey I had a drawer full of clothes that had gotten too small over the years. I had kept saying that I would lose weight and they would fit again but never actually did it. I finally really committed to losing the weight in September and today that drawer that was full to the top is completely empty. I'm heading out to buy a pair of too small pants to put in there since it has been such a great motivator for me!19

I dropped 2 sizes24

Comfortably wore non-elastic pants all day yesterday. Yay!29

I've lost 4 inches off my waist!
FOUR.
FOUR!
I've mostly stayed the same weight this whole month and I'm so thankful I measured. Super thankful I measured!36 -
I caught a glimpse of myself changing yesterday and was like, "Hello there waist. How YOU doin?" It's been rolls of chub on my sides for so long that I didn't even remember the sassy hourglass that's hiding under there. Kinda feel like I want to run around in my underwear all day to show that *kitten* off.34
