Here's the 24 hour challenge thread for February. Let's do it again!! And welcome to any newcomers!

The goal is to accomplish at least 24 hours of exercise during the month of February. Any type of activity that you log in your exercise diary counts (both cardio and strength training).

For you hosses and hossettes out there (you know who you are), if you want to do more, just post your personal goal that is over the baseline challenge goal.

And for anyone who wants to join part of the way through, just post a comparable goal to finish out the month (for example, joining half way through, post a goal of 12 hours).

There is no group for this and no private messages needed. No fancy spreadsheets either, just report your running totals here in the thread.

Last month's thread is here:

    Does walk counts in exercise??

Yep, anything you log in your exercise diary counts ~ walking, running, paddling, biking, swimming, gardening, weight training, dancing, HIIT, aerobics, elliptical, rowing, etc. You get the idea...

And 24 hours doesn't sound like much, but especially with the short month, that's at least an hour of something every day (with 4 rest days). It's not hard, but it does take some focus to be sure you get it done. But it also doesn't have to be done all at once. 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there, and another 30 minutes and you've done 1 hour that day.

    May: 361.81 km (224.8 miles) = 35 hours 50 min
    June: 569.53 km (353.9 miles) = 41 hours 53 min
    July: 230.7 km (143.35 miles) = 32 hours 45 min
    Aug: 211.3 km (131.3 miles) = 28 hours 8 min
    Sep: 306.7 km (190.6 miles) = 35 hour 2 min
    Oct: 441.82 km (274.5 miles) = 47 hours 43 min
    Nov: 660.21 km (410.23 miles) = 60 hours 41 min
    Dec: 499.91 km (282.8 miles) = 54 hours 56 min
    Jan: 864.79 km (537.35 miles) = 65 hours 36 min
    Feb: 470.53 km (292.4 miles) = 40 hours 39 min
    March: 917.73 km (570.2 miles) = 66 hours 13 min
    April: 417.83 km (259.6 miles) = 40 hours 23 min
    May: 267.09 km (165.9 miles) = 36 hours 10 min
    June: 552.1 km (343 miles) = 54 hours 48 min
    July: 709 km (440.5 miles) = 60 hours 41 minutes
    Aug: 775.9 km (482.1 miles) = 54 hours 52 minutes
    Sep: 371.3 km (230.7 miles) = 32 hours 20 min
    Oct: 649 km (403.3 miles) = 49 hours 46 min
    Nov: 403 km (250.4 miles) = 52 hours 16 min
    Dec: 511.05 km (317.55 miles) = 52 hours 2 min
    Jan: 741.9 km (461.0 miles) = 70 hours 3 min

So ... the goal is, of course, a minimum of 24 hours of exercise ... and I'd like to do more than February last year.

Do you have to use my fitness pal to track your exercise? I work with a personal trainer and we don't do standard things listed in my MFP. I also can't keep track of the many things we do during the hour so I track with my Apple Watch using the "other" workout feature.

No, you just log your minutes here for each day and your running totals. We mention the exercise diary because if you would be willing to log it as exercise, it counts whether it is cardio or strength training (some people define exercise as only cardio or only things that you do specifically for exercise...but I'm cool with strength training, gardening minutes, housework minutes, etc ~ it all counts). Everything is on your honor, as it's your own personal goals anyway. We don't go checking in people's exercise diaries to verify or anything...I sometimes have a hard enough time posting my own workouts daily much less checking up on anyone. Thanks for the question though, I modified the intro post for next month to hopefully make it a bit more clear.

BTW, you can add any exercise you like to the MFP diary (at least in the web browser mode, it's pretty easy - don't know how hard it is in the various phone apps). I have a number of exercises that I personally do that weren't in their list, but I added them for my own use.
