Not my weigh in day, Just need to vent! I am having a heck of a week diet & exercise wise! I haven't been to the gym since Friday last week (my weigh in is Saturday), and since I am doing well I gave myself a little lee-way on Saturday evening to splurge a little for my birthday and have desert, one piece of tirimisu can't hurt.....well I think the tirimisu cause a total brain meltdown because I have been going way over my points since then! Need to get back on track before I fall back to where I began. Thanks for letting me rant! Back on track!!!5

I have faith in you, you can do this. Refocus, it is never to late to be good to yourself. Take it one day at a time and keep going from here.6 -

I don't know if you've ever seen the movie "The Replacements" with Keanu Reeves, but in the football locker room they talk about "fear" and Reeves says his is "quicksand". He said that is when one mistake leads to another and another and before you know it, you're sinking in quicksand. Your post reminded me of how our lifestyle change is so much a mental process.
We can't get caught in the sand trap! We're here to pull you out! We can do this together.10 -

Good post. Your facing your reality and putting it out there. We all back slide a little. Now, push the reset button and carry on with your good habits which you have lots of. Don't worry about the naughty bits over the last couple days. You can't change it.10 -

OH I LOVE this so much !! I am a notorious 'all or nothing' thinker and often have to remind myself that one bad decision does not make for a whole bad day, week or year. We are all human and are going to make mistakes, it's what we do after - that's where our power is!4 -
Sorry folks, letting the side down with a 4lb gain. My slimming class leader asked what had gone wrong and I said that we had had a family meal. She asked me if I had been eating children! Yes, it's hard to understand someone who is trying to lose weight actually putting on 4lb in a week.
Back to work though and will start recording my food again. I've dug out my Aria scales and they sync my weight to my Fitbit dashboard.
Hope everyone else is doing better than I am. See you next week.6 -

This week's challenge: Same as last week: Adjust exercise schedule to include Pickle Ball. Walk more to get seven 10K step days on my Fitbit.7 -

I was an 'all or nothing' thinker but have finally moved on from that. While that may work for some it was very destructive for me. Not that I never fall back into that kind of thinking but not very often. I so agree about the one bad decision not making for a whole day etc... It was that realization that helped me move on.
On a side note: Keanu was my high school celebrity crush...lol.
Another side note: I asked this in another thread where I pose a question of the day but I am going to ask it here too... What is your peaceful moment? As in what event or action do you find yourself really at peace?
In the other thread some said things like, watching her children sleep, sitting on a deck at a cottage with a cup of coffee, looking at the nearby mountain range our her window.
So, what is yours?
