Yesterday I stayed within calories, hiked a 2 mile trail that is constant up and down hills I didn't eat back exercise calories and gained 1.6 lbs. Normally I would let that discourage me and have a bad day where I binge today repeat cycle and I quit this new lifestyle change. Today it didn't bother me, I know I'm doing everything right and that is not 1.6 lbs of fat. Probably mostly water weight. Keep going strong and the fat will drop.

Oh my gosh, that has to e the worst outing ever! Where exactly do you live that you need a dog big enough to pull you down AND pepper spray when you go for a run? This sounds like a scary desert where the mob buries people! Lol. I hope your run was much better today.

The dog actually caught me by surprise, she's only about 30 pounds, I carry the pepper spray because we run on the beach before dawn and sometimes there are coyotes in the dunes. I'm not scared of them for me but I'm pretty sure they look at my dog like a snack, but your reply made me literally lol

Noticing that my normal/easy walking pace is faster. Was walking with a friend and she asked if we could slow down...didn't even think I was going fast at all!

I actually saw my stomach go in when I squeezed it. I tried numerous times before to squeeze in my stomach, but it was too big. Now I can't stop! Awesome

Pulled out my workout pants from last summer to go for a bike ride with kids. Jeans just aren't comfy! I painted them on last year, and they left a pretty hefty muffin top from the waistband squeezing. Today, they were baggy in the legs, and I had to pull them up a couple times AND tighten the drawstrings. Never dreamed spandex workout pants would be baggy! So excited to have clothing proof of shrinkage!

Pretty pleased with myself...I have been working up to a 5k run/ race in April and I am doing c25k on the treadmill to prepare for that. Im at week 3 day 3. It's been fine, running at 6 (10 minute mile), but challenging. I decided that I had better start running outside to get used to that as it is very different from the machine. Well, today, my first time outside, I ran the full 5K. Slowly, sure, but I ran it in its entirety. Take that, haters! I am chuffed.

i do not care about Thigh Gap. i'm too old to give a damn about what arbitrary body fashion is 'in' anymore, and i'm not built that way either. i've traced my leg muscles all the way up to their origins and i know.

but i've been keeping an eye on my weight and trying to gently nudge it back down by a final handful of pounds, so it was nice when i was outside a moment ago with my back to the sun, and saw that even by trying i can't make my 'leg's meet anymore except for way up at the top.

LOL. Yup. I think my husband is getting tired of me saying "Feel my stomach. There's muscle under there! Feel it!!"

This saturday morning I got up early to attend body pump at the gym. I finished the class without feeling like I am dying, so next time I think I need to up the weights. I was able to make it this morning as last night when socialising I didn't drink and preplanned by taking some 'on plan' snacks and some fancy fizzy water. Not sure which is the biggest NSV

I am finally at a point that I think my legs look normal and a bit toned- I usually refer to them as my thunder thighs. I no longer have those unsightly fat pockets around my knees. Never in a million years did I think I'd have legs like this.

I'm a deep sleeper with vivid dreams. For as long as I can remember I have been fat in my dreams. Even though I've held a 90 pound loss for almost a year, I'm still fat in my dreams.
Until last night. I was my normal size in all the dreams I remember having. Could it be that my mind is FINALLY catching up to reality? It is such a weird realization.

I just went into three mall stores that I never would have had the confidence to look around in previously because I was too big.
I tried stuff on and it fit!

A month ago I set a new 5K PR at 25:33.

This morning I ran a 5K and shaved 23 seconds off that for a new PR of 25:10.
Also set a 1K PR at 4:50 and a mile PR of 7:56. I've never done a sub 8 minute mile before.

On top of all that I placed first in my age group.

Today has been a good day.
