Last night on the KATY trail...Students are gone from Mizzou, Stephens, and Columbia College and I had the trail all to myself. The isolation is awesome...maybe saw another rider every 30 or 40 minutes.

I thought I had posted a few shots of my latest big trip, to Bhutan, this past November. But I guess not. First hike was to their famed Tiger's Nest monastery, then we went on a 4-day trek in the Himalaya from Gasa to Laya. All told, 12 days of an experience of a lifetime. A very unique opportunity!

Sorry for the upcoming plethora of photos, but it's so hard to pull out only a few favorites. Hike this past weekend in Petrified Forest National Park, AZ. Live only an hour away in the nearby mountains, so this place is a perfect winter hiking spot when the forest is too cold. I am hooked on hiking here:
