I had 2 NSVs yesterday! First, I went thrift store shopping and found a super cute Lily Pulitzer skirt. Looked at the size, it's a 6. Most of the skirts I've been wearing are size 12. It was really cheap so I bought it anyway figuring I could always sell it if I never get small enough to wear it. Got it home, and it's really tight around the waist but I could wear it if I wanted to!
The other, I'm making a Fairy Godmother costume to wear at an event next month. Took my measurements, looked at the pattern measurements and figured out I need to cut out a 16 for the bust (could probably go down to a 14 but I don't want to risk it being too small) and a 14 for the waist. The costume I made in October I had to cut out an 1826 -

This had me laughing out loud too!

My husband told me I look skinny when I got dressed to go to the gym this morning! And then I worked out at the gym until I hit my daily step goal.22

Felt like doing something irish this morning and instead of making soda bread (and eating the loaf) i looked up irish step dancing how to videos on YouTube and spent quite a while trying to learn to dance a jig.43

I finished week 5 of C25K today. W5D3 is the first 20 minute run with no breaks. It went much better than I expected but about 17 minutes into it I had to channel my inner Prefontaine and just keep going even though I wanted to stop. I'm looking forward to week 6.24

We are so close in where we are in the program!! I just did week 6 day 1 last night! I feel so close to finishing the program, but still so far! Lol

My "lower" thighs above my knees no longer touch when I walk or run. Was weird at first, but I'm loving it!20

My most recent NSV is that I stepped out of my comfort zone yesterday evening and went to an intense, HIIT style exercise class that is co-led by a friend from my church. I knew I was going to get my hat handed to me since I am a bit out of shape right now, and I pretty much did. But it was a great atmosphere, because the leader last night offered an easier modification for just about every exercise, and I used them when I needed to. I won't be able to go back for a few weeks, but I definitely plan on returning. After all, the best part is that it's free.29

I know how you feel. I feel over the hump, proving to myself that I can run for 20 minutes straight, but I still have to tack on another 2KM to hit a 5k.
I was researching online and was surprised to see a lot of people saying that w6d1 was actually the hardest day because they were overconfident after w5d3. How was it for you?3 -

What program are you using? My C25K has me running the 20 mins the first day of week 7. (Then 20 again, then 25, 28, 30, and finally 35. I'll probably be a half mile short of a 5k distance when I hit the last day.)
Edit: I'm using Fitness22 app.1 -
I feel much lighter on my feet, much more agile and mobile. Mentally I've also been feeling really sharp,32

Two today!
1) I chased the Kindergarten kids around the gym and caught most of them! Three months ago I never would have even thought about trying to run with them.
2) Today was Sports Day at school so I pulled out my Steve McNair (RIP) jersey. Three months ago it was a tight shirt. Today it was a loose tunic!
I'll choose to focus on these 2 things rather than the 4 year old that asked if I was pregnant. You can't win 'em all I guess!38 -

I'm using C25K by Zen Labs. Week 6 goes back to intervals on days 1 and 2, which I'm assuming is what throws some people off.4 -
My husband impulse bought me a new food scale at Costco. I didn't need a new scale and I like my current one better, but I liked that when he saw it he thought about me and how much I use my scale.34

I also used Zenlabs and didn't have those problems - the 20 minute run was the toughest, then I felt it got easier. Doing ZENLABS C210K now and find that harder - in the third week and I'm struggling ^^3
