My nsv is that yesterday my Pj pants fell down to my feet while I was washing dishes. My hubs had a good laugh but I got new pjs!36

Well let me just tell you. I had a friend come stay with me Friday night (she lives out of town so we try to do sleepovers every once in a while to hang out even tho we still talk everyday). Saturday I tried on a bunch of stuff I had ordered online the week before and some of it was too big. So we headed to the mall. Everything I bought was a size medium. I know I posted a week or 2 ago saying some size mediums fit. But everything I bought this time was a medium!!!!
I'm glad my friend was with me because I think I have a mental hurtle about wearing a medium. I look at it and I just think there's no way. And then I put it on and i feel like it MUST look too small. It can't possibly fit.
Another NSV I took measurements today and I have lost 5 inches overall since last month.
And another NSV yesterday was "rest day" but I ended up walking around shopping for 5+ hours and then when I got home I still went out in the misty cold rain and walked for 2 miles.22 -
I have a couple...finally!
First: I signed my son and I up for a 5K Glow Run at the end of May. We will be starting C25K this evening (after spring cleaning daily chores and a movie).
Second: stopped at Penny's while waiting for my friend to show up so we could go to Springfield to go prom dress shopping. Not formals, just cute teacher dresses and a mask for the masquerade theme. They had a sale going on, so I thought if try a few things just to see how right they'd be. I got 2 pair of slacks for $5-$6 each, and decided to try them on and see how right they would be. I figured I'd maybe be able to squeeze into an 8. They were a little snug, but I could still wear them without being too uncomfortable...and they were both a 6!! I also got a medium blouse (because the arms on the small were too tight), and 2 lightweight jackets; one was a medium, but I LOVED the teal/gray coloring, and the pink and black one is a small! A SMALL!! And it fits like a glove! I got all 5 of those for only $30! The most expensive thing was the $6 slacks. My little black dress I bought for prom is also a small! This is a HUGE NSV for me because the clothes I've been wearing are/were 11-14 slacks and large shirts. Considering what I just discovered I can wear, I must really look frumpy in my work clothes and not even know it! Lol. And I still have 19 to go before I reach goal!26 -
2 NSVs for me today:
1. I put on a pair of knee-high stockings for the first time in years yesterday. And you know what they did? They went all the way to...my knees! For 30 years those darn stockings always stopped mid-calf.
2. This will seem really lame to most of you, but I ran a mile on the treadmill yesterday, without stopping. First time ever in my 50 years. It was slow but I did it. I thank @kingleahnidas for inspiring me to even try.61 -

That's not lame at all. Most people half your age can't do that!18 -

Not lame, no way! Not about what others do, it's about what you have the courage to challenge yourself to do! Well done!13 -
Managed to do 10 minutes on the rower without stopping! When I started, I hardly made it to 3 minutes, and I was out of breath!29

I really struggled with going to the gym today- even when I'd already walked half way there I had a voice in my head telling me I didn't' have to go but I ignored it and completed my work out.36

Sears near me seems to be going out of business and they had a whole bunch of clothes markdown and then an additional 75% off. I tried on my normal size 18 and extra large and they were too big. I ended up buying size large and size 16. One of the pairs of shorts is even a size 14 I ended up getting 3 pairs of shorts two pairs of jeans two tops and 5 sets of earring necklace combos all for under $2628

Pretty pleased with this - out on the bikes and it was rainy/grey mizzley weather and we were discussing our route and it was ME who pressed for staying out and going further when my ususally super-fit super-enthusiastic missis proposed the shortest return route. I also overtook her twice up hills today, which never happens, so she was obviously tired, but still. My inner exerciser won-out over my inner-dosser and it felt good!22

That's great, keep it up just increase a little at a time. I love the rower especially when I keep going and a much younger person stops12 -
OK, so if I stand up real tall and flex my stomach muscles, you can kinda sorta tell I might have abs at the top.
For real.47 -
I had to shop for a bridesmaid dress this weekend. I invited my sister in law to join me, and when she saw me she asked if I lost weight! She is the first person to mention something (besides my husband!).
While at David's Bridal the consultant asked me what size I thought I was and I answered 12. She brought me the first size 12 and it was too big! I had to go down to a 10, such a pleasant surprise!39 -

Aww this means so much to me! I never expected people to get inspired by little old me And CONGRATS to you for running a mile nonstop!! It's a great feeling. Good luck and keep running!!20 -
My friends noticed I was smaller for the first time yesterday, and my skinny jeans are now just jeans. It might be time to dig into the back of the closet and see what fits again. And a weird one for good measure: I lost a half inch around my neck. I was unaware that I had weight to lose from my neck, but apparently I did.31

My golf has improved! Driving tha ball further - guessing the kettlebell swings... ?23

Today I finished C210K. I may run slow, but I am a runner now.50

I was able to wear a peacoat I rescued from my sister a while ago. When I got it it barely buttoned. The last time I put it on it pulled at the top and bottom buttons (hips and boobs lol). Today it fit perfectly with no pulling at all.

I went shopping....in my husband's closet!!
When I was 16 I tried on my brother's jeans, size 34 men's, and they weren't even close to zipping up. I remember that clearly because it made me sad: he's taller than I but at that point I had already been overweight most of my life...
Fast forward to today when I tried on a pair of men's size 34 jeans that my hubby was getting rid of and they fit great! They will get a cut and become my new "in house" shorts. That's a double win for me 'cause I live in Asia and can't for the life of me find a pair of shorts that fit.27 -
I 'went shopping' in the wardrobe! found 2 pairs of work trousers that had been relegated - one was a size 20 that I pretty much could walk out of in 2 steps. Another was an 18, but that fits much better than my current ones so look much better. Also 3 shirts that have never fitted (one I don't like the cut of much so can be sold as new!) and a dark red tshirt that is a MEDIUM! Not XXL. Now, my OH says it fits and looks nice but I can feel it across my belly still so won't wear it just yet. But it is loose on the arms!
Put the 'new' trousers on this morning to go to work and was like, hmmmm, these are tighter than I thought, don't know if I can comfortably sit down all day. Took them off and they were the 16s I was happy to do up last week. Haha. Nearer fitting them now, but still swapped to the 18s for comfort.
Played squash on saturday (and sunday) for 90mins and my back wasn't in agony! yay for stronger hamstrings supporting my IT band and reducing lower back issues!
brand new week! bring it on! feeling awesome!28 -
I had to use a belt on my jeans :-)26

Cleaned out my closet yesterday. Between me and my boys, we donated 9 kitchen garbage bags full of clothes. And I doubled my wardrobe! I found 5 more pair of slacks in there that now fit! Some, I haven't been able to wear in 2 years. Tried on a bunch of shirts that were smalls from my pre baby wardrobe... TWO babies ago. Some of the clothes are a little snug, but still wearable; they will be perfect in another 5-10 lbs, and I still have 19 to go.28
-
I went shopping at a thrift store over the weekend. I saw clothes that I had donated hanging on the rack. Clothes I had donated because they were too big for me to wear any longer. First I saw one...then two...and then about a dozen articles of clothing that I had donated a few weeks ago. All in a couple sizes up.43

I didn't binge on my full rest day - allowed myself to eat until maintenance and then stopped. Helped tremendously with the stress I was feeling from work.24

I'll have a NSV soon! So inspired by you all! I can't wait to share mine18

Was in the van grabbing groceries for the kids to carry in, and my pants slowly slid down over my hips. Almost mooned the whole neighborhood and kids. Luckily I caught them before they fell completely down.
Tried on an old pair of cut of shorts that I wore when I was 19, and at my smallest weight. Tried them on as a whim, and didn't think I would get them past mid thigh. I weigh almost 55 pounds more than I did then. I got them all the way over my hips. Granted there was no way I was zipping those suckers up, but they got up a lot further than I expected. These are my goal shorts, I will probably never wear them in public, but I sure want to fit in them.35
