4/3/17. 3.8 miles. It was really nice today after the thunderstorms yesterday but already getting into the 80's so it was pretty warm, but I like warm better than cold.
@honunui I hate to hear that. You have my sympathies.1 -
Today is a cross-training day, so no running but I did get in some PT exercises and 44 minutes of elliptical intervals while watching Netflix.
@lporter229 Great to hear that your last long run was a success. Hope April 17 goes smoothly for you!
@7lenny7 As always, great pics! And the claws on that turtle
@KatieJane83 Looks like a beautiful place to run!
@HonuNui So very, very sorry to hear the news. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Had a great long run on Saturday to start the month...I went back to my old nemesis hill and knew I probably shouldn't run it at mile 8 with another 4 to get home. Those last four were brutal! Just tells me I need to do it more often between now and July! I am going to scope out some new locations too that I am told have some great hills and aren't too far away (not within running distance though).
Went to the dog beach on Sunday for a little recovery walk/run with Hobbes the Vizsla and it was gorgeous out! Today I couldn't get out of work early but this afternoon was cool and partly cloudy. It is getting hot later this week though!

You are horrible. In a good way.
50k is a bucket list run, so maybe I will. I just don't want to register, pay the money, then chicken out or get off track in my training.4 -
4/1: 5.8 miles
4/2: 2.8 miles
4/3: X-train (elliptical)
4/4: 3.6 miles
TOTAL: 12.2/100 miles
3.6 miles in 34:47 (9:40 min/mile) this morning. I lucked out and missed most of the rain (only slightly misty) but did have a slight headlamp mishap. I didn't sleep well last night so I felt pretty sluggish at first but was okay once I got going.5 -
03 - 13.37
04 - 9.59
Total: 22.96 / 175 miles
Another nice and cool early morning recovery run with the group.4 -
April goal: Stay healthy, get my runs in and increase my long run distance
Nominal mileage goal: 191 miles
4/1- 15.23
4/2- 3.14
4/3- 7.07
4/4- 3.69
Total: 29.13
Today's notes: Good run today. Got my 3 miles in, in 29:07 and my 4 strides felt good. Today, I really woked on posture during my strides, working on keeping good form. I naturally tend to bend at the waist, so I worked on keeping my pelvis forward and my shoulders back. Felt good.
Tomorrow is another gut check run for me. It will be similar to last week's Wednesday run, with 3 miles at Tempo pace, but it will be a solid 3 miles this time, not 3x1 with recovery in between. Full run will be about 9 miles, with the tempo portion being the middle 3 miles. Hoping it goes well!
2017 Races
6/16- William A Irvin 5k
6/17- Grandma's Marathon (Full!)
8/19- Rampage at the Ridge 5k OCR
9/23- Ely Marathon (full)
10/21 Wild Duluth 50k??????
11/23- TBD 5k Turkey Trot2 -
@HonuNui I have a spot on my leg that I'm sure is just a persistent ingrown hair. But I'll now make sure I ask my doc about it. I also saw last night that DH had a sunburn, I had to remind him we have sunblock spf 4 to 100 and he should use it. Thanks for reminding us how important it is.
I carry it with me too like @9voice9 .. I tend to use it to hide my dry gater skin. But I do use it.1 -
4/1 - 7.7 miles in sunny San Diego
4/2 - Travel day
4/3 - Rest day
4/4 - 5 comfortable miles.1 -
@KatieJane83 Lovely pictures!
@ereck44 sounds like a very successful 9 mi run ; great that you hit your target HR
@ariceroni Your description of the hilly serene lake trail sounds lovely too!
@BeeerRunner 60h and a DNF? I don't even want to imagine how frustrating that must be. No matter if 6s or 2miles are missing.

Ha, I actually managed an 8k run this morning despite the wine "tasting" last night. I was going to run with a colleague but he chickened out because "his wife had a hangover; not him, of course". Yeah right, after all that wine we had and the drinks in a pub afterwards he only spend the morning at the hotel because of his wife ^^
They should have joined me - it was a lovely cool morning, and I felt much better after (even during) the run. Plus I ran to a monastery , so I even got to do some sightseeing on top!7 -
I ran 1.5 miles at Orangetheory yesterday, so I'm up to 5.5/25.
Hopefully getting in a run today, but the weather is not cooperating at the moment!
Also, how do I get my updated tracker on here? I updated it on the website, copy and pasted the direct image url here and it keeps going back to 4 miles, and not 5.5.
Thanks!

@HonuNui I am so very sorry for your loss! I lost my uncle to melanoma, it's such a tragedy, and we are all very conscious of the importance of sunscreen. My thoughts are with you!0
