I refrained from pointing out to someone that they were living under a set of artificial rules designed entirely to maintain a mental fiction. It was an annoying (to them and me) mental fiction, but I recognized they can live their entire life inconvenienced by that fantasy and will harm no one (except by their zealotry to spread it.)
This has nothing to do with weight loss. But it was a victory nonetheless.16 -
I have a great one that isn't even really mine...
Last night my husband comes home and puts one of those REV snack-wraps on the counter and says; "Honey, I can't eat this crap, have you seen what's in it?" He proceeds to read me the label making note of the amount of sodium, cholesterol, fat and ingredients that were purely chemicals. I am proud of him! As a master licensed nutrition I've been trying to get him to be mindful for a while and this was definitely a victory!35 -
Another month, another work meeting with yummy snacks! Avoiding the table entirely!16

Today I realized I have lost half of the weight I wanted to lose. Then I thought about how much I still had to go, a little over 50 pounds.
I almost started crying. Not out of sadness, but in joy!
I have lost half the weight I wanted to lose in less than a year. I now know that I can lose the other half. I can be a healthy, happy and active person. I eat better than I have ever in my life. I exercise way more than I ever have. I am trying things I never thought I would ever try to do, and I am working on things I thought, sure that would be great to do, but there is no way I would ever be able to do it. I am also setting some really great examples for my children. I hope that they will never have to know this struggle.42 -
I live near Yosemite National Park and love to go hiking there. 2 years ago I hiked the trail to Vernal Falls, it's under a mile to the fall, but very steep and I had to stop many times to catch my breath. Last year I hiked it again and had to stop twice. Yesterday I powered up the entire way without stopping. I may be close to 60 years old, but am in better shape than when I was 40!49

My PT cleared me to resume lifting (cautiously, lighter weight only, but still) today, after a whole month of hard work. What a happy, happy day!!28

I was inspired by all of you 'shopping' in your closets. I'm normally very good at cleaning out my closet at least twice a year and everything that doesn't fit (whether too big or small) or that I didn't wear that season goes out. I just remembered though that I did save one small bag of super expensive bras and underwear that were too small that I couldn't quite bear to just get rid of but I forgot about them because I never keep things that don't fit. Well I just tried them on and every single thing fits! And I'm super glad I remembered them now because several of them are very nearly too big. Hopefully I'll get at least a few weeks wear out of them (though you better believe I'll get rid of them the instant they're too big ;P )27

I think I have that same one! I bought it thinking it was adorable, but then didn't like that it showed my belly flaps as well as it did. Now they are gone, but it's getting too hot to wear now. Maybe it will still be cute next fall and possibly even fit. You look adorable!6 -
In the upper 80's here today so I wore a dress without shorts on underneath and crossed my fingers that chub rub wouldn't be an issue like it used to be when I was 45lbs heavier. 10,000 steps later and not the slightest bit of irritation!37

I'll never forget the day I knocked that run off. Congrats, it's a beast, and you killed it. Great work14 -

You rock it girl!!!6 -
I have a hard time getting my steps in (full-time student, too much time sitting in class or standing still in lab) but I spent most of the day outdoors with my husband, building a new garden bed. He had to leave for work so I went up to Home Depot myself to get soil (five 2 cubic feet bags) and seeds. Lifted and moved and got the yard looking all nice. My VivoSmart changes my step goal based on my activity level and I passed up my goal of 5000 (I know, pretty low) and hit 6751. This summer, that bed is going to grow me some purple potatoes and peas.29

I totally understand this struggle!! I've lost almost 20 pounds so far, and am hoping after these next 20 or so pounds I will be able to do this. Awesome for you!!6 -
Feeling pretty good this am - after a long weekend in NOLA with good food and drink, stepped on scales Mon and showed 3# gain. Right back to it on Mon and this am the 3# are gone! While I certainly went over my daily 1200 cal those 4 days, I logged and got in lots of walking. Guessing it was mostly water retention. In the past the gain after one long weekend would have discouraged me - NO longer!19

Purple fries are fun to serve to people who are pretty, erm... unadventurous where food is concerned...
We've prepared our beds last weekend, and the onions and garlic are already in the ground. Most of the rest has to wait until the last of the Ice Saints (last really cold day of the spring - usually with ground frost) in May (the last is on the 15th of May this year) before things like tomatoes can go into the ground.
And congrats on the new step high! I was proud as hell when I finally started hitting 8K regularly. I do still have 3K days, but those are getting rarer.9 -
Today I noticed that at some point I'd gone down to the smallest hole on my belt, which is marked S/M on the inside!18

I have wanted a tattoo to honor my mother for a long time now. I did not want to put her memory on a body I wasn't proud of. I officially lost 90 pounds yesterday and went and got my ink

And you didn't share the picture?!?
I'm debating getting a tattoo to cover some scars. My sister did it and it turned out awesome. Looking everywhere for ideas.8 -

Lots of compliments on my top today. : ) I couldn't wear it last spring because it was too tight to be comfortable, but now it fits well.
Also, I got the "Are you done losing weight? You look like you should be done by now." from a co-worker. I just smiled and said "Almost". I have about 5 lbs to my initial goal, but they don't need to know that. LOL21 -
FINALLY a good relationship with my food. Yesterday was my birthday and i did not use it as an excuse to have two breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, supper, dinner and night lunch. I had my regular meals ,one cocktail and some dessert. Then stopped eating cause i was full. Normally i would have accepted every invitation for a meal yesterday and just go crazy in the name of celebration.25

Non-Scale Victory0 -
well I made it 100 days of logging on MFP over the weekend and lost a total of 15lbs. I'm not sure if this is considered a NSV. I was at Victoria Secret yesterday bra shopping. I wear 36B but my band length is getting smaller since I'm losing inches around my waist but not my cup size. So I tried the 34C and it fits perfectly. I don't think I went up a cup size so I had to ask the bra specialist for some assistance. She said that is typical to transition from 36B to 34C since my bust size didn't really change much but my under bust is 29 inches. I have never been a 34 C in my life.
Also, I bought a nice beach sarong wrap to wear with my 2 piece swimsuit on my birthday beach trip. I tried it on and it looks so cute!21
