I took the 1yr old outside with the 3yo yesterday. I noticed quite readily that
1. I wasn't exhausted and wanting to only sit and let the 3yo play alone instead of expending the energy to play "with" him.
2. Sitting on a couple of picnic blankets with the not-yet-walking 1yo wasn't uncomfortable!
3. In fact, getting up and grabbing a blanket and then later realizing I wanted a second wasn't annoying (it was previously b/c of how much "work" it was to get up/sit down.) I actually didn't try to take EVERYTHING I wanted outside allllll at once (like I used to) in order to avoid multiple and tiring trips back inside and up and down. I did it all with ease and didn't even notice until I was making several trips back in! Before I would have made a big hassle of it in my efforts to make less trips the first time around.
4. One of the things we did was play with bubbles. I had to keep finding different spots on the blankets to sit and blow bubbles because the wind kept changing and the 1yo loved watching the bubbles pass by before they took off for the 3yo to chase them around the yard. Again, this was enjoyable instead of annoying and I think it was because of how much easier it was to move around! There's less of me to move and more muscle and flexibility to do the moving of less of me!34 -
went shopping for an outfit for a job interview and i got all XL and size 16-18, they all were too big and i had to get M/L and size 14, small but awsome32

We had some pics taken today at work for a presentation. I was browsing through them and it always takes me by surprise how small (normal!) I appear now. I look nothing Iike the person I was for 26 years. But what really made me laugh was how big my shoes look! I look like I'm wearing clown shoes! Guess I'll be shopping for new ones this weekend23

I ran two miles with a 13min pace!! (My third was a 16 min pace, but we won't talk about that.)
Looks like my goal of averaging 10 mins a mile isn't as far off as I thought!35 -
My boyfriend and I are going to a wedding in a few weeks and I'm really looking forward to dress shopping.

I went down a shirt size.34

Went to the gym when I really didn't want to.34

My Crossfit class included lots of running today, I had to walk at times but I never gave up and completed the whole class.24

I had to take about a week away from running because of back pain. I went out and ran 3 miles yesterday (finally!) and it felt glorious. I was so happy to be back at it. I used to be secretly happy if I had an excuse not to run, but I've made it so much a part of my life over the past couple of years that I really do get grumpy without it.20

I'm able to jog for 6 minutes at once before having to switch to walking for a couple of minutes!! 30 seconds to a minute of jogging used to just about kill me! I also have bumped the speed up! Next up, 7 consecutive minutes at a time.30

Me too! The gym was the last place I wanted to be last night. I griped all the way there lol, but I'm so glad I went. It was literally one of the best classes ever...it kicked my butt so good. But it was also a day where I could feel progress, not getting easily winded during the warmup, less breaks, killing the ab section, and burning more calories to date in that one hour class than I ever have.18 -
This is an odd one but it was very important for me. Last October when I had already lost 125 Lbs, I had to leave a ride at Six Flags (The Joker) because I could not get the lap belt attached. It was probably about 8-10 Inches from locking. Over the weekend, I went to Six Flags again and this time I beat my own personal demon by getting on The Joker and having about an inch to spare on the lap belt. That was the best feeling in the world. I still have about 73 Lbs to go but this is so much better.

That's awesome, congratulations!
Congratulations to all the NSVs here- really helpful to me because I have started working out 3-4 times a week and in that time the scale has gone up a few pounds and I was feeling a little discouraged, but then I went shopping and could fit (comfortably!) into non "W" pants for the first time in years. I bought 2 pairs of different pants (on sale) and I feel great in them13 -
I'm wearing a size 10 pants at work right now.... BOOM!!!! I've been feeling frustrated because the scale hasn't been moving much since February but I'm losing those inches! Feeling pretty sassy about it!30

My workout pants fell down during my boxing session with my trainer today. Have never ripped those gloves off so fast in my life. Guess it's time to buy a smaller pair....34

Today at work I FELT smaller, like I would go to put books against my side to carry them and I'd have to move my arm in closer than I thought I would. I do my whole home/gym/shower thing after work, and when I looked down in the shower I was so surprised to see my stomach. It wasn't much difference, but it was definitely enough for me to go, "Wait, when did this stomach become mine?" It just looked so much flatter! I am floating on air right now, hahaha39

Today while folding laundry I couldn't tell the difference between my daughter's clothes and my own! I had to check the tags on the jeans... This made me feel FANTASTIC!!!!29

Had a MAJOR blow up with my twin today. Instead of eating my feelings, the husband and I are hitting the gym tonight for the first time in months.34

Avoiding most of the leftover Easter candy, dessert, snacks, and sweets in my house. I refuse to undo my whole day.21

My boss's grandma said how she had a new girl working for her. My boss was confused but, after asking a few questions, she realized she was talking about me. She said, "Oh no! That's the same gal, she's just lost like 40 pounds and looks amazing!" (It's 55, just saying. Although that constitutes as a scale victory, I just have to clarify )33

Wow that's a huge victory, congratulations @tinamarie6624 !!! This is exactly why I and so many others are on here at all: so our bodies can get to a point where we can DO all the things we want to be able to do. That's much more motivating to me in the long run than just "looking better".
Thank you for the inspiration. Keep up the great work!!!15 -
Mother came for a visit and surprised by my 123lb. weight loss over 10 months took me shopping. Down 8 pants sizes and 2 shirt sizes. Didn't have to go to the big and tall section for the first time in 20 years. Felt really weird to me but put a smile on my face.41

I tried on clothes I haven't fit into comfortably for over a year and a half.
They fit! I'm very excited!23 -
My NSV is that I got back on track. This month I had all deadlines for assignments at uni, so I couldn't be bothered with tracking my food. Then Easter came and I visited my family in another country. I got back and after relaxing for one day (visiting my family is extremely stressful for me) I started tracking again! I gained a bit of weight but I know I'll lose it. I'm 10 pounds away from my ultimate goal and I want to reach it by July!!28

L shirts now fit like XL fit a month ago. This has opened up a lot more of my wardrobe.22

So I wore my pencil skirt last night with my nice polka dot black shirt. When I was done tucking-in my shirt in my skirt, the skirt was still big around my waist so I reached behind my skirt to zip up and well, I forgot it was already zipped up. So yeah, my waist is really getting smaller. I guess this is a good problem to have but it means I have to buy more pencil skirts. I'm pear shape so I usually buy and wear stretchy pants and skirts. Fortunately for me as I lose the weight I can still wear some of my stretchy clothes and which means I can save some money on new clothes or only buy new clothes when I'm super small.
Another NSV and I had mentioned in an earlier post, I gained 2 pounds within 48 hours due to my ovulation. THANKS MOTHER NATURE! Now that I have a better understanding of weight loss, usually I'm discouraged with any weight gain. But the logical side of my brain tells me, unless I ate 7000 calories in 48 which I didn't, the spike in weight gain is all from hormonal changes and definitely all water weight. Also I checked my macros and I've been eating above my daily sodium allowance and drinking more water due to increase thirst- all thanks to my hormones.
Moral of the story, this weight loss journey is teaching me patience.32 -

^^^ Awesome!
.... I gained 2 pounds within 48 hours ....
It really helped when I understood that I did not GAIN two, three, four pounds overnight. I weigh daily (naked, morning, etc). Weighing daily helps me accept the big fluctuations in my weight. Since I see up and down a lot I
- don't freak out
- can often tie it back to what I have eaten - like that sodium laden ham on Easter - or my exercise

FreyasRebirth wrote: »Not much to do with weight loss but I realized today how much progress I've made in college. I took two semesters at one school, under a different major, then started back up years later at another school with another major. I'm 4 total semesters in and I really only need a Phys Ed class and Composition (which didn't transfer). The Phys Ed, 1 credit, is going to be $88 and the CLEP for Composition is going to be free because I'm a Reserves spouse. By this August, I'll have the necessary credits to get an Associate's of Art and by next August, I'll be ready to start the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at Wayne State University! Projected graduation, May/June-ish 2020!
This is fantastic!6 -
The custom kilt I'd ordered two years ago finally got sent back to the maker to be not altered but completely retailored. Got a "grats on the weight loss" message along with the bill.42

My size 14s are starting to feeling loose. And it's definitely time for a new belt!23
