Good morning and happy May Day! This is a yoga challenge where you set your goal. It can be days for the month, minutes for the month, your choice of what works for you.
It has been a while since I've practiced on a regular basis and I need some motivation to get back to it. My goal for 450 minutes of yoga for the month of May.

Let me revise this. I meant 16. Right now I do 3-4 a week. Somehow I multiplied 5x5. Maybe I need a math challenge.2 -
Thanks for joining tracy63031, LZMiner & lporter229!
I'm trying to get back into the habit of doing my AM yoga dvd (Rodney Yee). Getting up earlier is always a chore. But I do feel better, both physically and mentally, when I do it on a daily basis. I'll probably post weekly on my progress0 -
May 1- 20 minutes of stretching and foam rolling
May 2- Only 3 minutes of stretching after my agility workout- boo. Must do better.
@lauraandmark347 - I have a few of Rodey Yee's videos. I really like them. I haven't done them in a while. Maybe I will have to bring them back into the rotation. Thanks for the reminder!1 -
Oh this is perfect I just was telling the girls at work I wanted to start doing yoga in the am and before bed.So maybe 15-20 in the am and 15-20 before bed! A new healthy goal for myself!2

I actually go to yoga classes, twice a week, and do one night of Pilates. It's really helped me tone up. I love yoga though, and need to start stretching and doing some poses at home! So far, I've been once in May.1

Cheers to yoga every day! I started a daily home practice in April after slipping away from yoga for too long. This daily practice has become so meaningful to me. It's funny though: I find myself slacking because I'm generally feeling better. So I'm renewing my commitment and joining in on this challenge. In fact it will get me on the mat shortly, so thank you for starting this thread! I am so tired from an early start to work today and chasing a toddler around but I don't want to make excuses to not practice.
Any suggestions for energizing poses or flows?

I'm a big fan of sun salutations in the morning.0 -
Hello yoga friends! I used to go 4-5 times a week to a hot Vinyasa class, but life keeps getting busy and I'm only going once a week. The funny thing is that yoga usually calms me down when it gets busy, so I need to focus on going more again. My goal is at least twice a week, 10 times in May.2

I went to my first class in 2 years yesterday, 60 minutes was brutal, I am aiming to go back next week with 3 20 minute sessions at home between. so 2 hours a week this month?1

Hi everyone! I am just coming back to yoga after recovering from shoulder injury and a finger fracture. Fracture is not completely healed, but Dr. gave O.K. to gradually start adding exercise again, so I'll modify as needed. I do a lot of exercise, but yoga and Pilates are my favorites.
I believe this will be a great group to be part of!!
Goal for the month; at least 2 classes a week, and to get my home practice going again.
May 1st- 75 minute Vinyasa class
May 3rd- 60 minute Hatha class

Hello! I want to make a commitment to do yoga every day instead of the hit and miss efforts of the past.
Right now my favorite workout is Barbara Benagh's Yoga Over 50.

Yes! I am doing sun salutations as my home practice, then some standing poses. It's been a challenge getting practice in on the evenings but I got on the mat last night and today!

Keeping up with morning practice of sun salutations, triangle variations, and balancing poses. 15 mins a day plus after my 15 of Pilates, plus a 2 minute meditation. Sometimes more if the baby is well occupied and not climbing all over me! I have been looking forward to the bit of medication the most (spellcheck Freudian slip! I was trying to type meditation!).3

Thank you. Yoga has been healing me up in so many ways. I think I might end up better than before because of daily practice. Grateful!1
