I don't see it is anything to do with rights. It is finding like-minded people that workout, and you can also have discussions about issues that are close to you. Seems simple enough. It wasn't exclusionary in any way.

No, I didn't think it was.
My question was... does that community still need active support?
Equal is equal.
I don't support any ethnic group.
.... nor do I harbor any ill feelings towards them either.
I'm as neutral as Switzerland.9 -

They do because having, equal rights doesn't equate with; equal treatment or even application/enforcement of, those rights.10 -

Thats true.... for now.
Thing is, that needs to continue to change, and it is.1 -
You have my support,
I searched MFP Support and Motivation for LGBT and found a LGBT Fitness Group FYI.3 -
Personally, we are here to support each other in our journeys to a healthier life....regardless of sexual orientation, race, gender, gender identity, whatever...those issues may have some relevance but are certainly not the key factors9

Heteros have never been ridiculed, assaulted, or killed because of their sexual orientation15 -

Hetero and cis people do not understand the daily struggle.
I had to look that up.
Cisgender (often abbreviated to simply cis) is a term for people whose gender identity matches the sex that they were assigned at birth. Cisgender may also be defined as those who have "a gender identity or perform a gender role society considers appropriate for one's sex". It is the opposite of the term transgender.1 -
