This weekend I biked 19 miles on Saturday and ran 7 miles on Sunday. Sheesh the wind in Kansas is strong sometimes.5

Inferno done and today's bonus round 3 flights of steps 5 times. The camaraderie at this location is definitely noteworthy as some of kept going to help others out who could not run the stairs as fast. I can hardly feel my thighs. It is really refreshing to see so many people at the gym at 5 a.m. Have a wonderful day kids.6

Hi all, well, I am BACK. I feel I have been away forever - between vacation, work conference and then a girls weekend which included a half marathon, fun, food and wine, it is time to get back to my life. It's a busy one, but at least there is a bit more of a regular routine.
Haven't had time to read through all the posts yet. Just wanted to say "hi" and to let you know I have not fallen off the face of the earth. Off the wagon, yes, but not the earth, so there is still hope for me.5 -

Rowing class tonight. It's really something when all 8 of us are pulling together.
I was going to run beforehand, as usual, but it was too hot and muggy.2 -

I used the recipe converter this morning! I was quite impressed. I was shocked about the calories! But, it was a quick and easy tool to turn a found recipe into nutritional value (or lack of it). I also used the fit bit work out. I am not an arms girl. Those babies are sore today!3

Toothache completely screwed up my workout and my day yesterday ... but today I'm back with a vengeance1

HI all, @caramelgyrlk , you continue to amaze me and how far you have come! Well done!
Got a strength training workout in yesterday. Had a talk with my trainer and told him he has to push me harder. I want to feel like I have WORKED when I am done with him. Did legs yesterday and it was better. Not sore today though, so I know he could still push me more. I want to hurt the day after a good strength training workout.2 -
Just got back from the gym. Leg day - feeling good.
Lately, I always seem to be the only woman in the "gym" part of the gym. I feel like I'm intruding on a boys' club. (It doesn't stop me from doing it, just makes me self-conscious)2 -
Today’s 10-mile run has been brought to you by American Ninja Warrior, Spartan Team Challenge, and American Grit. The 3 shows I watched while running on the treadmill. I was just not up to running in 80% to 90% humidity again, so I hit the treadmill. Fun fact: I managed to maintain a faster pace than I do on the road. Very interesting.2

Had my typical gym/weights day on Monday - starting to push myself to lift more again. Should have been a gym day today, but didn't feel like going. Didn't feel like doing much of anything quite frankly. This afternoon, the sun came out, and I opted to out on my paddleboard. Got in 4.22 miles. It was gloriously smooth with low wind...near perfect conditions (a bit hot and humid though at 2pm). It was one of the best days I've had on the water in ages. Had to race a storm in (so I didn't go quite as far as I was planning), and got home and unloaded the board before it started to rain at my house. All in all a great day. Even saw a manatee, which I rarely see in this part of the bay.2

Didn't work this morning cause tomorrow is a public holiday so we decided to switch Thursday and Friday around lol Will do back and Abs tomorrow before we go for lunch with friends.
Our week away screwed up my recomp completely so now I have to go back into losing and then start recomp again1 -
About half sick. Yuck0

Hi all, well the talk with my trainer worked as my legs are still sore. It's good.
No workout yesterday as I had a bunch of family visiting, so had to rush home and make dinner. Had a lovely visit with them all. It was just an overnighter, but so nice to see them all.
Great job everyone, for continuing to be so inspiring!1 -
Happy Thursday! Another day of Strong Lift in the books.
With that and a short warm-up on the elliptical and a cool-down walk on the treadmill, I burned around 500 calories!2 -

Welcome to all the Noobs...
I've felt like a caged animal while sitting around all week reading about all the running, rowing, lifting and stair climbing (at 5am, while wearing a weighted vest?) @caramelgyrlk, that is HARD CORE!
My taper week is finally ending. Cautiously optimistic (and somewhat nervous) about the race, since the last 8 week training block has gone well. As of this morning, my weight is down 15lbs from training start in mid April. Hoping that translates into increased speed tomorrow, but in a six hour event, you just never know.
