If you select the picture next to the camera, it actually embeds the image in the post rather than just posting a link to the file as an attachment. On the web browser, the camera looks like a document icon... this was done with the embed vs attach file option...
Well got in a paddle today with my friend who was back from her cruise last week. Surprised we actually did 3.4 miles as it didn't feel much over three, but I was dead by the end as it was mid-high 90's. I have been such a complete slug this week. Hopefully next week will be better. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Keep it cool, kids
@BettyM1017 - was just talking to my friend about that race today. She's probably interested, but I need to double check that it doesn't conflict with any paddling races.2 -
Hi all, sounds like many of you have a great weekend. Love the pictures @gam3rguy . Never heard of that race, but it does sound fun!
Ran yesterday and then did an hour in the gym. Helped out at a wine tasting even last evening. It was fun. I poured with a childhood friend that is in town visiting. We had fun!
Ran today. I even managed to run up the BFH! slow, but I did it.
Welcome newbies.1 -
Bummer. I don't have those buttons on my phone, only on my computer. Oh well.0

Busy weekend building a turtle prison (he escaped his "habitat" so this new, well-fortified habitat shall henceforth be known as "turtle prison").
No idea whether this was an effective workout, but I'm tired!

Lifted, today.
Started a "streak" challenge here at mfp. Ten weeks. I am working on two different "streaks: 1. drinking two glasses of water before each meal, and 2. No LNS.
Had supper out a lovely wild game restaurant. Our 17th wedding anniversary is Friday.

Morning kids, I had a restless night and decided to take TRX and Inferno back to back this morning. I am sure by noon, I will need a nap. Congrats Beep on 17 years. The picture of the turtle and his new enclosure.....AWESOME.
Have a great day kids.2 -
Happy Anniversary Beeps!
I love turtles, so I find the escape artist adorable!
Lifted yesterday - leg day with a bit of core work thrown in. It was just what I needed.
Got to the gym in a very pi$$y mood. My car had been in the garage for 3 weeks!!! Every time I called, there was another reason for the delay and another thing "broken". And, the "new" invoice was now $500 over my original quote. So...........I spoke to the store owner. He was amazing! Very reasonable and very, very fair. They broke an ABS sensor when changing the wheel bearing and the mechanic told me it was going to be over $300 (without labour). Told him to leave it!
The owner asked if I could trust them to fix it, free of charge. If I was not pleased, I could take it to a mechanic of my choice and he would pay. Now that my friends, is GREAT customer service. In the end, my bill was $50 less than the original quote.5 -
Took my 11-year-old out and about with me today. First, the library for books on astronomy and to ask if they knew of any chess clubs for kids. Then the Y where we rode the bikes with integrated video games for about 30 minutes. I beat him on the track but he beat me catching dragons. Then a quick lunch of Costco hot dogs before getting the groceries. Nice day so far.

Ha! He's actually not grumpy, he just suffers from RBF. He's actually kind of affectionate. For a turtle. Whenever the kids or I go up to his little hut, he comes out and pops his head up to say hello, and he likes when we hold him and talk to him. When you scrub the belly of his shell with a baby toothbrush, he sort of half-closes his eyes, like he's enjoying it.
I got to kickboxing today. Woo!

Ran 3m. Got up early (relatively speaking) to do it before it got hot. Back before anyone else was awake. Nice way to start the day.6

I didn't get my run in yesterday. I usually get it in right after work, but instead, I had to head home as the grandkids were coming for a visit.
My plan was to get it done after they left, but my B&B guests arrived just as they were leaving, and I spent the remainder of the evening chatting with them. Sigh. Knew I should have ran right after work, even if it was for 30 min!
Golfing today, so again no run. But I do walk the course, so there is that.2 -
I slept terribly last night and I'm feeling really run-down and unmotivated today. So I'm going to take a "rest day" from workout out. I'll go for a walk after lunch, though, and I might get in the pool with the kiddos this evening, so I'm not a complete lug!

42, mom of 2 girls, and wife. Started using MFP May 20, and have lost 11.4 pounds. Weight has been a lifelong struggle. My father is extremely overweight, and has been suffering from multiple effects of Type 2 diabetes. I had gestational diabetes during my last pregnancy, and know that if I don't make some changes, I will be dealing with similar issues. So,I am deciding I want to be healthy-for me mostly, but also for my husband and my girls. Goal is to lose total of 80-90 pounds, and then keep it off!!11

Hey kids, It took all I had to push through today. I got a nice surprise today. My surprised me with a pan of vegan lasagna with cashew cheese. I do not typically eat noodles but it was DELICIOUS. Have to walk the dogs in the woods to walk it off. Have a great day.3
