Hi guys. I started my keto diet two days ago. I read ketosis tends to start after 3 days of a keto diet. So I'm Looking forward to testing this soon with ketostix or something.
Eggs eggs eggs! meat, avocado and spinach seem to be key foods cropping up for me so far. I'm interested to see how people vary their foods on this diet as I'm feeling a bit limited. I wish us luck!2 -

Started a week ago. Down 3.5 lbs. having no trouble- would love to be friends.
One good bit of reminder that came my way_ carbs to limit to 20 g, protein calculate total daily allowable intake by body weight and exercise weight otherwise they too will convert in the glucose cycle. Fats are fillers- to make you feel good, give you some energy and take away any hunger or cravings.
Have not yet managed to convert to Bullet Proof Coffe but am up to using Half and half and adding 1 tsp of coconut oil .

I just eat 5 boiled egga each day and day 10 i lost 8kgs.Its unhealthy diet but works to my body0

@annax3belle ...nope, you are missing the point. Here is what your body is trying to tell you:Classic electrolyte imbalance symptoms. Salt, salt, salt STAT!! It's one of THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES newbies make...they always underestimate the amount of sodium/potassium their bodies need when they try Keto. Your body will require between 3000-5000mg every day. Some individuals (like me, for example) find that their bodies require even more than than (my body likes between 6000-8000mg every day). Eat pickles or olives, Drink pickle juice. Salt your food as heavily as you can tolerate it. Dissolve a bouillon cube in the appropriate amount of water and drink 2 cubes per day (this is usually the easiest method).2 -
Not new to MFP but new to low-carb. Started at the end of May and have lost 13lbs so far. I try to stay around 50g carbs a day. Definitely could use some friends eating similarly, so anyone can add me!4

I love Keto! As an endomorph body type and also with a hunter/gatherer genetic history, it has been a lifesaver for me! I am new to My Fitness Pal but if anyone wants a Keto pal, Im here!

I am new to low carb. Just read "The Insulin Resistance Solution." Would love more friends too. Also would love other low carb resources. I am not going to be super strict low carb (less than 100g), but the book recommends less than 500g carbs daily. Open to learn and would love buddies.0

Did VLC (keto 20g) from Dec to March (then softball season kicked in and it was tough with all the fast food. I am back at it though.
Since Starting in Dec, even with a few months off, I am still 20lbs down.

Hi, I've been off and on of keto since jan. I recently restarted and having been getting right kidney pains/aches. Does anyone else get these? If I stop keto the pain goes away after a couple of days.0
