I'm not being perverted just being serious and honest. At the doctors the weigh you with shoes and the works on so are you cheating yourselfs by weighing yourself at home naked as opposed to with clothes on at the doctors?

No, it's not cheating. It's a lot easier to be naked than try guessing the weight of your clothes (or wearing the same clothes each time you weigh in).
ETA: I've had doctor offices weigh me with a jacket on. That in itself is indicator of the inaccuracy.23 -
It's not cheating, just be consistent. If you weigh naked, always weigh naked. If you weigh clothed, always weigh clothed. I weigh myself at home in my underwear only first thing in the morning. If I weigh at the doctors with my shoes on after I've eaten I know I'll weigh more but it doesn't matter because I know why I weigh more.31

Why would it be...your clothes have nothing to do with your actual body weight...

I take shoes off at the dr. I don't see how weighing naked is cheating. They make you strip your baby down to get weighed (no diaper). They probably just figure most adults dont want to get naked in the hallway of a medical clinic. Also clothes are extra stuff we put on and not part of our real weight.22

I think that weighing naked is the only way to get a true consistent idea of your ups and downs so that is how I do it. When you go to the doctors office you are not always wearing the same weight in clothes and shoes so it won't be as accurate. So I took a long way around getting to your answer, but no I don't think its cheating.8

Weighing yourself naked first thing in the morning (after using the bathroom, before consuming anything) is the most accurate way to weigh yourself if you want to establish a trend or compare your weights on several days. Otherwise all those variables (what you are wearing, what you ate recently) get involved and you don't know how much of a loss/gain is related to what you are wearing.19

What?! Why would it be cheating to get your actual weight? Your doctor doesn't weigh you naked because that would just be awkward since the scale is usually in an open area - same reason you don't weigh naked at those scales at the drug store. I don't understand why you think what your clothes weigh has anything to do with your actual weight.9

Since I only go to the doctor's about every two years for my physical no, it's not cheating. It's what I really weigh.2 -
No. If you want to know how much YOU weigh, weigh only yourself. If you are worried more about the trend rather than the number itself, weigh under the same circumstances. The same clothes or no clothes, the same time of the day, the same scale, etc. Pick one set of circumstances and use it to track your progress.6

It's only cheating if you get on the scale with several layers of clothes. Then immediately weigh yourself naked, and convince yourself that the difference in weight is somehow fat loss.29

Next time when you go to the doctor's.... strip that *kitten* off right there. Tell them you want to be accurate.35

I always weigh nude, 1st thing Friday morning after going pee. Think it's a more accurate number for me as far as a consistent number, and to monitor the trend. I never worry about what the doctor scales show. It might be more accurate than myou scale at home, but my home scale shows my trend. Plus, must people weigh more later in the day due to water retention, etc. I can weight 2 pounds more before bed than I did in the morning. That's my water.2

This is what I was thinking, but I had a physical last week and my doctor got really flustered when I pulled my shirt up for him to measure my waist. Hey, this is for my insurance premiums, right? Don't you dare add half an inch of poly-cotton blend!21 -
I looked up the weight of clothing awhile back. Shoes average about 2 and half lbs and everything else combined usually doesn't even make it to 2lbs.0

I was just curious thats all I want to take my weight loss seriously and not take a short cut so just thought I would ask6

It's the most accurate measurement.
If you are wearing any clothing, you're measuring that too and, as far as I know, no one who is trying to lose or maintain weight, wants to see a weight on the scale that is heavier than they actually are.

I knew a gal in weight watchers with me years ago who would strip down to her bra and panties to be weighed every week. Right in front of everyone. My own personal approach is to weigh myself after working out. Sure, it's an artificially low weight. But it makes me feel I've made a bit more progress and since I do it consistently that way, it is technically measuring my progress.8

I only ever weigh myself naked. It removes any variation from clothing.1

Naked only. If the technician doesn't like it, then s/he can leave the room and I will weigh myself and give them the results / leave the weights in place on the tension arm.2

That's how I weigh myself every morning before I eat.1
-
Agree w/ naked, after using the bathroom, before eating.3

Do you want to know how much your body weighs? Or how much your body plus random clothes weigh?
No, it's not cheating to weigh without clothes. It's more accurate.6 -
Wait, most of you people are saying your doctor doesn't make you take your clothes off to weigh in. Really? I thought it was normal for the doc to high five you when the clothes come off?21

Does your doctor play "Pour Some Sugar on Me" and have a stripper pole too? Very therapeutic.20 -

Can I get a reference to that doctor? I'm in the market for a new primary care provider and that sounds like it fits the qualifications I'm looking for. Is the doctor using the pole though or I am?10 -
I'd argue that weighing with clothes on is inaccurate. I'm not my clothing, my clothing doesn't affect my health, my BMI or my body composition. I never get weighed at the doctor (I actually find that kind of odd, but maybe that's a nationality thing) but when I used to go to WW and had to weigh in, I'd wear as light a clothing as possible and still track my weight at home, in the nude, first thing in the AM.4

Only if someone else is weighing naked at the same time and ...4

and that person is not your significant other. Then it might be cheating.7 -
No, in fact, I recommend it. You want to know the weight of your body, not your clothes.2
