@sammieb1228 -- There's a setting for voice notifications. Maybe it's turned off on yours? Look in the settings inside the app, and also be sure notifications are turned on in your phone settings.
Thank you! That helped. Will test it out tomorrow3 -
I found a shirt from my summer as a theatre intern today. Put it on, in hopes that it might fit, but be tight. Nope - it fits better than it did 8 years ago!30

I was clearing out my tatty clothes today, whilst going through one of my storage boxes. I came across two pairs of jeans that haven't fitted me for about 6 months, I couldn't even get the waist band to meet around my middle!
Well, I decided to try them on and they FIT!.....yay!
Not only that, there is a pair of combat trousers that have NEVER fitted me. I could get them on too, although they are very tight around the waist I was able to button them up..........happy days25 -
Two weeks progress - an inch off each my waist, tummy pooch, hips and booty!24

Finally, finally, finally, my son and I ran a straight 5km!!!
We started not being able to run at all (well, my son could run but I was a different story) started the C25K program on 29th April, and here we are, a mere 8.5 weeks later able to run a 5k distance without stopping.
It took us 43 minutes and 45 seconds, which is much lower than I'd anticipated - I was thinking it would take an hour, going by the time of previous runs.
I am amazed, totally amazed. When we started, the 60-second run/90-second walk intervals seemed impossible. Now even a marathon seems within reach (with appropriate training of course) but we're going to settle for working on speed, being as we've now got the distance under our belts.
Can't wait for our first ParkRun, in just 10 days' time. I'm actually really excited about it!
But, more importantly, this achievement just goes to prove that anything is possible. Anyone can do anything if they want it enough.59 -
Yesterday I was working out on the squat rack at my gym and for the first time I wasn't intimidated or nervous thinking about other people watching me.25

My scale has been stuck for 3+ weeks, so I REALLY needed these two NSV:
1) A coworker who doesn't know anything about me trying to lose weight commented yesterday that they needed to get on whatever workout plan I was on, because I was really slimming down! I loved this one because they just assumed that I was working out, not dieting (even though I'm doing both). I was never very athletic, but I always wanted to be, so it was awesome that that's what they assumed. So far only two people have commented and they both commented that I 'looked like I've been working out' as opposed to 'look like I've lost weight'.
2) I haven't done laundry this week, so I was getting dressed for work and grabbed a pair of pants from the back of the closet. I didn't think that they would fit, because the last time I tried them (about a month ago), they were still no where near comfortably buttoning up. Since I was already holding them, I decided to see if they were any closer to fitting completely expecting that not much has changed since I haven't been seeing any changes on the scale. They actually fit pretty nicely! Just snug enough around my hips and bum to look nice, and not cutting into my waist at all! I bought these online a couple of years ago, and have never really been able to wear them and just kept them around for 'eventually I'll lose weight'. Now, I can finally wear them!28 -
I DIDN'T GET A MILKSHAKE LAST NIGHT!!!33

Went to my parents' house this weekend and finally went through my stuff that somehow was still hanging around. Found a sweatshirt from when I was my smallest adult weight - the "ideal" past me, you know the one, where you think "oh if only I could get to that weight again..." Well I remember buying it in 2012 and it zipped up very snugly. I tried it on this weekend and it zipped up with room to spare. Well then! Guess I'm even smaller than I thought.27

Night eating is a big problem for me. Well last night I stayed up past everybody else and did dishes - in the kitchen the whole time - and I didn't eat a thing! When I started feeling hungry I drank water, and when that stopped helping I went to bed. I was really worried my resolve would break but look at that! I'm developing better self control (or getting over my emotional need to eat?)!29

My recent NSVs are that I have a tan line from my fitbit (I have had it on everyday for like 36 days or something like that) AND my big one which is my record for jogging a mile got broken two days in a row. When I was in 8th grade I set my life record of a 15 minute mile and I have never been able to do it again. A couple days ago I ran 14:15 and yesterday I ran 12:45. This is HUGE for me, I am going to keep slowly shaving off that time . Oh wait I have a third! I bench pressed 55 pounds for the first time. I used to not be able to do the bar. WOO. I love seeing all these successes with everyone28

My summer session classes start today. All prepared, syllabi ready, and I go to put on my "professor clothes" that I just had on mid-May. They look ridiculous they are so big now. That's pretty wild considering it's only been 6 wks since I've last had them on and the number on the scale hasn't changed that much.26

I bought a dress last night off of a Facebook garage sale site. It was a size 8, and I look GOOD in it. At this time last year I was wearing size 24W. I haven't worn a single digit size since elementary school.40

Two tiny NSV for me today.
1) Finally back on track, i have started down the road to losing weight and getting healthier umpteen times in the last 5 years never to really stick it out. today was day 10 of consistently tracking for me AND exercising (almost every day) AND staying within my calorie goal and not chowing down on all my 'calories earned' from exercise
2) I rode my motorcycle in to work today and the snap buttons at the top of my pants stayed fastened even though i was wearing jeans underneath!

Stuck in Midtown during lunch surrounded by fast food joints - ate at a BBQ joint - managed to stay under my allotted calories! And a big shout out to MFP which had the nutritional info for this local restaurant menu.21

My bike is back on the road, DH robbed some parts from my old bike as a temporary measure until the new parts arrive.
Did my short route this evening and knocked another minute and a half off my newest "best" time of 58 minutes, so 56 minutes 30 seconds. Interesting that I'm now timing it to the second. To the minute used to be good enough (and before that, to within ten minutes)
I'm putting this quicker time down to adjusting my seat up by half an inch; I cannot pedal using my toes and have to use the mid-part of my feet, so the traditional seat adjustment was never quite right for me. I've been meaning to put the seat up for weeks (if not months). Finally did it being as we were messing about with the seat anyway and it made cycling so much easier. I was able to get up hills in a higher gear, and also faster, than usual.22 -
Today I deadlifted 100lb! I'm so excited!!!35

Cleaned out a dresser drawer of pants that were too small and that I was saving for "when I lose weight one day." Well I tried them all on last night and all but one were TOO BIG. Now I have an empty drawer ready to be filled with work out clothes!30

Congrats! I'm almost there, I'm at 90 right now.10 -
As so many people experience, my work related stress is sometimes unbearable. I realized JUST NOW... that my mind is not thinking of comfort food but I was thinking about my walk tonight and how I cant wait.....feels soooooo good. That is not to say that I don't/wont seek the comfort of food but my first thoughts are no longer "what can I eat".....27

I have 2 NSVs today. Yesterday I bought a pair of size 16W shorts and they fit really nicely. Given that I was a size 20-22 just 9 weeks ago, I'm thrilled. Also, I found a new scrub top that I bought over 5 years ago (a size smaller than what I really was) in hopes of loosing enough weight to fit me. That didn't happen until today. It's actually a bit loose. Yes, I'm wearing it right now.30

I benched 135lbs yesterday. It had been a year long goal since I started with a bench of 95lbs. It also looks super badass with the big plates on there so I was stoked all day yesterday.23

I can touch my toes!!!! I don't know if it's because i've gained flexibility during lifting or what... cause i haven't really been stretching.. just a few ones after the lifting session. either way.. ill take it23

Thank you! my iPhone is always on silent. I'll try to remember that tomorrow when I do Day 2 tomorrow.5 -
So, I'm teaching summer school and today during whole group reading in the middle of me reading a story this little boy grabs my calf and says "OMG her legs are ALL MUSCLES!" which obviously interrupted what we were doing and got the class going, which was quickly stopped. Then after the kids left I got to thinking and touched my calf. What was once all fat is actually mostly muscles and my legs actually look toned now. So thank you little second grader for randomly interrupting our lesson and making me realize this.40

I bought my wedding dress back in Nov 2016 and it fit me perfect. Over the last 6 months I gained 15lbs or so due to some high stress situations. Tried it on end of May and I couldnt even get the zipper up So went back a month later today and it fit almost perfect again!!! Felt so good to get that zipper back up. Only 8lbs to go!!!! 2 months and I get married eek33

Tonight I ran a 5.7 mile trail race faster than my fastest time, which happened 5 years ago when I was in the best shape of my life and before I got pregnant with my first child! The next fastest group of 2 women were 21 sec/mile faster than me, but just a few weeks ago they were 44 sec/mile faster. I've only been back running two months, so I'm hopeful for a continuing speed trend. Goals: trail race under 7:30 min/mile by Aug 1 (today was 7:36), and to finish higher than fourth place (I seem to get fourth every week).19
