                    What 5 foods do you always pick up to help in your weight loss journey?

            None. I eat a variety of foods, I buy whatever I'm running short of and/or looks delicious and/or is cheap, and a calorie deficit is what makes you lose weight.7
- 
            Chocolate, coffee. I just have two I need to not have a nervous breakdown while counting calories. After that variety is the spice of life.3

 Maybe try them scrambled? I get nauseated just eating them regular!
 Also rice and beans are great, and super filling.
 I also just pick up a variety of whatever meats have the best deals.
 Potatoes are cheap.1

 Cordial (juice concentrate you add water to)
 I think that's it. I don't even take a list, I just read labels as I go to see if the calories are "worth it" that day/week. Otherwise anything goes.1

 I was on your same position... Now I just chopped the whole egg in tiny pieces and add lime/lemon and it the yolk flavor kind of mixed with the whites and it tastes really good!1

            I decided to stop eating snacks so I don't get any food items in particular every week. Just depends what I'm planning for dinners1

            avocados, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumber,kombucha, sparkling mineral water, pupusas, green olives, hard goat cheese, eggs, canned sardines.... I know thats more than five but they are staples in my home0

            For me, I eat a lot of different things but every single week I buy the following:
 *Leafy greens--like so many and even so I run out
 *tomatoes, large, small, any that look good
 *avocados
 *apples, can't ever be without them
 *canned chickpeas
 *sparkling water
 *canned black beans0

            Most trips:
 [1] Meat (whatever I'm low on/in the mood for to eat in the next week...usually lean ground turkey or beef, chicken thighs or a rotisserie chicken, or fairly lean smoked ham, or turkey hot dogs to chop up).
 [2] Yogurt
 [3] salad greens and/or soup vegetables and/or entree vegetables and/or veggies for rice & beans
 [4] replenish when needed: oats (either quick rolled or steel cut)
 [5] replenish when needed: beans
 [6] Eggs
