That's me! I actually race the kids to the house/car. Also, the family is used to me jogging/speed walking around the house too. Lol They used to jump, like what's happening, now they are used to crazy mom/wife. Lol
Yeah, my children have had to get used to a different type of mum as well . . . poor things, I think that I exhaust them
Pretty certain that they prefer the woman I am becoming though. Much more fun than I used to be.20 -
I went out in a skirt yesterday and there was no thigh chafing by the end of the day!39

It's official folks, as of this morning I'm officially a member of the 140s club. I stepped on the scale and it showed 149.5lb. Just to make sure my scale wasn't playing tricks on me, I stepped on it 5 times! and I saw the same number.
The last time I was in the 140s was when I played varsity high school soccer in 10th grade back in 1998.
You know I actually enjoyed my Physics class and I had an awesome professor. If I had just paid closer attention to the lecture on the First Law of Thermodnamics and made the connection to food calories ( heat energy) I would've achieved my weight loss goal a long time ago.44 -
I walked 10K today in 1:50.39

I have been convinced I'm dealing with some sort of body dysmorphia lately because I look in the mirror and see more muscles than fat. Since I'm still 70 pounds overweight I knew this was impossible until last night. My honest to a fault husband and I were out walking and he checks out this lady as we walk by and tells me about how much cellulite she has hanging out of her shorts. Then says she doesn't have toned legs like me. Already a bit confused as to why my husband thinks it's appropriate to discuss other women's bodies with me I had to ask him to repeat himself. He says I have cellulite, but it doesn't look bad because of the muscles stretching it out. He's not exactly Mr. Flattery, but it's nice to know my muscles are indeed noticeable and that my husband thinks I'm more hot than random skinny women in my neighborhood.27

Despite a hectic 12 hour shift and thinking I'd be too tired to run, managed to not only smash out 5k, but my fastest one yet! 38:16, before this had never run a 5k in under 40min in my life33

Stayed within my calorie allotment during vacation and even lost weight! Although I cut back on two of my strength workouts so I would have more energy, I didn't skip any.
Also: I wanted to do some light weight squats so as not to risk my knee getting irritated from lifting heavy. I'm up to 120 lbs, so I went with half that, 60 lbs. I figured lifting light would also give me a chance to concentrate on form and variants. I ended up doing 3 sets of 30 reps, 10 regular, 10 plié and 10 ski squats. Just a couple months ago I could barely stagger from the squat rack into position with 60 lbs - now it feels like nothing. A few months before that, the thought of doing 90 bodyweight squats in one workout seemed like an impossible goal.21 -
I have been lazy in the heat and rain for the last two weeks and skipped the gym. My nsv is today I went back I did elliptical, stationary bike and weights. Ok so I could say the slip is a negative but I am proud I went back at it.30

A 26 year old young man flirted with me when out clubbing with my workmates told him I was 43 years old not to mention married, and he said well you look about my age and is your husband still around lol. Talk about an ego boost28

Two for me this week, one being wearing a top again I haven't been able to wear since 2010 I think - I kept it because it's so pretty, and I pulled it off yesterday The second is that I'm getting proper boney - the bones are starting to stick out everywhere, my knees, my shoulders, my hips, it's so hard and no longer soft. I can't stop poking them haha!22

I have had a few small victories lately. Last week I went to the gym four times (unheard of for me) and I tracked consistently (also unheard of). I noticed that because of these things my mood has been considerably lifted looking forward to doing it all again this week!25

New clothing shopping at Goodwill and Gabe's meant this morning, wearing appropriately fitting clothes for the first time in a while, I got several compliments. Wearing baggy clothes past their expiration date may save money but it can be hard to see progress in the mirror when you cover it up!26

The elevator at the doctor's office looked dangerously sketchy because they have been doing maintenance on it, so we got to take the stairs from the 3rd floor. I was happy to have a reason to take the stairs.
We normally always take the lift because our 2 year old loves them and he doesn't get to get on them very often.16 -
I mindlessly put on my familiar pair of jeans this weekend and was so uncomfortable all day because they kept sliding around and they felt huge on me. So I went home and went through all my jeans -- HALF of them were too big and are now in the "Donate" pile! I don't want to spend too much money on clothes, but I think I have to make a Target trip and grab some "interim" jeans...

I needed a haircut so I used the time I had yesterday to walk to the barber shop. It was about 2 miles each way, and easily done. My weight loss has been so great and the loss of fat insulation so significant that the 96 F temperature felt comfortable to me.31

I went to a free garage sale this weekend at a local church. I picked up a pair of pants that I thought might work this fall once its cool enough to wear them. They fit now. Also found three tops at the local thrift shop that work which is good because I was getting tired of the rotation of tops I have now and some of my favorites will soon be too big.
I didn't like the number on the scale this morning but refuse to let that determine my mood. I rarely like what it says on Monday.
Today is our group bike meeting day. This group has given me so much encouragement to keep going.17 -

I'm with you! Monday weigh ins are not my friend5 -
Getting back out on my bike after three years and getting to a place I used to regularly cycle to, hills and all. It is always challenging with COPD, moreso after a years long break from intense activity.16

I was wondering when my waist was going to get smaller, since the shorts I bought a couple of months ago are still tight at the waist despite me losing about fifteen pounds since I got them. The tape measure didn't seem like it budged either, but it really varies a lot depending on time of day and how tightly I pull it, so I'm never sure about the measurement. So I tried on the jeans I was wearing when I bought the shorts, and I can fold the waist over about four inches. Um... those jeans were tight the last time I wore them! So good news is my waist is definitely shrinking (I think my new shorts may be shrinking too, was the reason I didn't notice) and the bad news is, that was my "skinny" pair of jeans, the only pair of jeans that fit, and they look like clown pants now. Before the weather gets cool I am going to have to buy new pants! My husband says I go through more clothes than a sixth grade boy. For me, the waistline is definitely the last holdout, but it is gradually shrinking!29

Tried on my wedding dress from 28 years ago that I had to be girdled into and it fell straight off. I'm smaller now at 36, than I was at 18!43

Two NSVs
I totally overate this weekend. And logged it all...
Rainy season here. Non stop raining. It's colder and morose... I didn't want to go to the gym. Plus it is weights day which I still don't like for real. BUT, I stepped out and went to the gym!!27 -
I made cookies and I didn't eat any of the batter or the finished cookies!26

Despite being pretty tired, I went swimming this afternoon. I'm glad I went bc I think it was just a Brain Rebellion rather than legitimately needing a rest.
I also got my article off to the publisher. Keep your fingers crossed!30 -
Increased leg veins.12

Went to the Salvation Army shop on Saturday and had enough choices that I found a pear of jeans that fit. I'm shrinking out of the pair I bought a few weeks back20

Visited with my weight loss doctor yesterday and he told me I have surpassed all goals. I wanted to know if getting to a normal BMI would be possible or realistic given my previous status as super morbidly obese for 3/4 of my life. (It's 27 now). He told me after reviewing my iDXA scan that I am likely already there, and that I am carrying a good 10-15 lbs of excess skin. My blood work is perfect, A1C is 4.7, and I feel like a million bucks.83
