Sleeves on dress shirts are now too long.8

I know right lmao like i worked hard for my nice waist and my boobs are so big (DD 32), So my options are Xs dresses nicely showing off my slimmed waist and giving me stripper peek a boo boobs, Or medium dresses that nicely fit my boobs and have a ton of flowing fabric entirely hiding my nice waist xD7 -
You de-age, especially with weight lifting. I have no idea why but your skin tightens up, everywhere and I've been told I have a "youthful glow" now.
You're posture gets better.
Aches go away.
You have a ton more energy.
Shoes fit better: that one threw me for a loop.

Yes!!! And finding a tankini was ridiculous...fit the chest, fit the bikini area but baggy in the stomach.4 -
That I'd be such a ratty b*t*h if I don't get out for a daily cycle ride. My poor DH and children are constantly checking the weather forecast in order to work out if they need to "tip toe" around me, or if I'm going to be remotely human that day . . .10

Mine is hitting the weight room. But same result if I can't get to the gym for some reason.6 -
That the shelf of pasta I had when I started my weight loss journey will probably last 2 decades if I keep my current pace.
I used to eat tons of pasta (perhaps not daily but multiple times per week) and big portions but now it's just too many calories and carbs for my calorie budget. They are not forbidden and I'll have a few noodles occasionally here and there but generally I prefer veggies or other food to use my calories on. So the "stock" of pasta will last me forever but I just don't want to throw them out - they are good noodles. I have a few other things still sitting around too but noodles are the most obvious "leftover" from my pre-weightloss days.31 -
That you would get tired of people telling you to not lose any more weight, especially people who are casual friends. I think it is because they have become aware they are not doing anything about their weight.21

It's annoying for sure, but I think people just have no idea what healthy and fit looks like. I try not to take it personally anymore.15 -
@Colt1835 I see your point. Drinking unsweetened coffee waiting for a friend I saw a very overweight child eating fried potatoes and milkshake for breakfast. The adult at the table was eating the same and was similar size wise.
When I was obese I didn't notice size and eating habits of others. Seeing this now reminds me that will be me if I go back to my old Way Of Eating and thinking

Obesity was a major part of my identity and sometimes I remember it fondly and wish I could go back, but I respect myself too much to do that.
Is it possible that youre feeling nostalgic for a happier time in general? Ive had some hardships recently not related to my weightloss and it makes me long for happier times when i just so happened to be heavier, its a bit of misplaced nostalgia in my case. Either way im sorry youre feeling this way and that people are treating you the way they do. But at the end of the day you have to do whats right for you, and ultimately the rest will fall in to place. Stay strong!20 -
Nobody told me that if I lost weight, my upper inner arms would turn into crepey, wrinkly skin. I'm running and added in a weightlifting class, but yuk! It's like I aged 10 years overnight.12

Exactly this! Don't have the 'chicken wings' on the back of my arms but have this! Annoying as he**!3 -

You could donate them to a food bank- I did a clean out not too long ago for a food drive at work (no expired or bad), just stuff I no longer really used as my food choices have changed. Keep a box if you want to have some on hand for a quick dinner or something, but you don't just have to throw it away!11 -

I have the same build - 34DD and small waist. Find a good tailor in your area - it's well worth the money! I have the waist taken in for almost all of my pants, and my dresses too.
Seriously, it was a game changer in getting my clothes to fit right and make that hourglass shape pop. We worked hard for it - might as well show it off.22 -
Nobody told me that being able to shop in straight size stores doesn't mean that everything will be your taste and fit perfectly! I spent hours trying on clothes, and while I was excited at first about being a Medium at Loft, it wore off after I couldn't find anything I liked.
I've found that I'd much rather continue shopping online for clothes. I became an expert back when I was plus size!13 -
Everyone tries to feed you if you drop 50 pounds. I am still 20 pounds overweight, however, people are literally leaving cookies and doughnuts for me on my desk at work.16

My go to when this happens (I work in a small office) is to bring in healthier options and keep them available. It started a couple months ago and now my coworkers will either not offer me their not-good-for-me-food or have some of the decent snacks I keep in our cupboard.
And remember, No thanks! Is a complete sentence22 -
I find it humorous that only after losing a bunch of weight, some people will now tell me HOW I should be losing weight.51

I thought I would love shopping once I got out of plus size. I found it overwhelming, there are just too many options. It took me a while to get out of my comfort zone of what to even try on. I ended up taking a friend of mine that is into fashion shopping with me a couple times. I just went in the dressing room and she brought me stuff to try on. Best shopping trip ever.
That said, I still dislike shopping.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun! Spending an afternoon trying on clothes that someone else picks out for you - and vice versa7 -

I think you're absolutely right about people not knowing what healthy is supposed to look like. Obesity has become the norm, so healthy looks underweight to most.15 -

Oh yes... this baffles me. I've lost 95 pounds and I have one coworker who keeps telling me that I have to go low carb. Nah, I'm good thanks.40 -
No offense to the keto peeps in here, but the next person that tells me "Oh wow, you've lost weight! You should do the keto diet!" is going to get punched.56

It was fun and made me try things that I would never have tried on my own...that ended up looking good. They way you dress a size 22-24 is way different than a 10-12.16 -

Agreed! I would lose my cool and probably punch someone if they knew I'd lost a bunch of weight and ever suggested to me to go keto. I'm really happy eating everything in moderation. Thanks.

I take my daughters with me and we have a blast! They know what looks better on me than I do and did even when I was much heavier and wearing a size 20/22. Now that I'm down to a size 8/10, so many more options, not a chore or disappointment anymore and I don't end up in a really bad mood. However, I, too, still dislike the time and effort it takes to 'go shopping'!

That they lost 5 or 6 pounds on a keto diet one time and now it's a miracle diet that works for everyone.19
