My waitress called me "tiny!" As in, "a tiny person who can put away a lot of food." LOL! If she only knew I'm down 30 pounds and I'd been saving up for this meal out.
(The waitress was tinier than me and 20 years younger.)24 -

Just to start the argument again, hammer and nail set works really well and is cheaper
I use a drill and bit on mine. It works good on leather.
Or buy cheaper belts. With your weight going down, they're temporary anyway.11 -
Last year I wore a size XL shirt. This morning, I put on a Medium shirt that had been hanging in my closet for several years - and it looks and fits great!23

This week has been the most exercise I've gotten so far on my journey. 9.59 miles paddling the kayak and 7.6 miles on the elliptical this week. Looking forward to trying to keep this up!24

Oh I would but I'm trying to see how many holes I can drill in this one before(if) I toss it. I've had this belt since I was 15 and I'm 26 now.
I do like your point though. That's pretty much what I've done with all my other clothing. Until I get to where I'm sure I'll stay for a while, I buy the cheapest stuff I can find. When I do finally get there I'm going to put a massive hurting on my bank account LOL.
ETA: I'm currently using one of my wife's hair ties to keep the extra from flapping all over the place. I just can't let it go yet.10 -

yep, that's me jogging for that time. Navigating cattle grids, brambles and narrow wooded paths. And hills, oh gods the hills!
but did it, and sprinted at the end, and my mate said he tried but couldn't keep up on the end stretch haha!
FEEL EPIC!!
and went and still did my 2km swim this morning to wake up properly!20 -
My skinny hip dimple went away! I was upset that my pronounced skinny bit on my hip had shrunk, I was keeping to my calories and hitting the gym so why was it not there? I poked it and discovered that there was still a lack of fat over my hip and the dimple had shrunk because the fat pocket below it had shrunk! Less of a difference between bone and fatty pocket to bone and less fat pocket. Temporary sadness replaced by happiness.
In other NSV news:
I achieved my gym goal; went everyday even when tired, hungry, had a migraine, TOM (which for some reason has always been an excuse in the past). It has definitely showed me that when I don't go to the gym I choose not to go -there is always time for it.
Today I had 3 biscuits; blame it on tiredness etc. But I logged them all and whilst I will be slightly over I don't really mind as in the past I would have easily had 3 biscuits and never logged. Same calories in just different tracking. Plus gym tonight and I've already logged in a quick run.18 -
My most recent NSV is that I went to a gym - to run on the treadmill because it was crazy hot outside and I couldn't bring myself to go out for a run. Rather than fluffing it off and not going, I went to a gym, did my run, and went home.
The victory for me is that I made the effort to research, pay for a day pass and go. Then I ran in front of other people where they could see me for more than a couple of seconds and, if they chose to, judge me. YAY!!!28 -
The other day I was able to jog over 2km without stopping. When I first started I could barely jog 100m it was a big win for me29

Just bought and FIT into a size 14 pant for the first time since I was probably 13 years old. And I'm damn proud of it!28

I've been at this for awhile, long enough where I've had to take breaks due to some stuff; so needless to say it's been a slow process. But despite being 50 lbs down and going down in size, I wasn't really seeing it in the mirror. My NSV is that something just clicked this week and I saw it! And not only could I see it, but other people are really noticing. I was told I need to buy new scrubs as mine are practically falling off, a friend told me I'm losing my butt (boo!), and my fiancé said my boobs are disappearing (lol I'm ok with going down a cup size even if he's not!).
To top it off I went back to Express and tried on the size 10 shorts that a few weeks ago I had a little muffin top so I didn't buy them, they now fit perfectly. Of course my luck they didn't have the color denim I wanted. And I bought a size 8 skirt from H & M!!! WTH?!? It's a tad snug, but the 12 was too big and they didn't have a 10, so I went with the 8. A few weeks and it should fit perfectly!
Size 8 is my goal size! By no means am I there yet (still have a lot of weight to lose), I'm sure the skirt was vanity sizing at it's finest, but gives me hope that hopefully my the end of the year I will firmly be in size 8 in most brands!25 -
I used to have a pair of shorts that I called my "Goal Size" hanging on the door. I hadn't worn them for a couple of years. Put them on a while ago and they fit. Put them on yesterday and they're too big.37

I am losing fat from the oddest places - yes, I know that it disappears from all over but I keep finding areas from where I've lost fat that I really wasn't expecting. The latest place is from the sides of my knees. I didn't think that I had much more to lose from my legs but I've got some interesting "dimples" there now. I also have dimples on my feet! I kept checking both legs last night and my DH was like "what ARE you doing?" and then laughing when I told him. Ah well, kept him amused for a few minutes
And twice today I have not given into temptation! Got back from a walk with the family and wanted to go on a bike ride. Hadn't eaten much at lunch (whilst we were out, DH and children had sandwiches which I can't eat) and really wanted something sweet/full of sugar so that I'd be okay on the bike ride. Raided the cupboard where the sweets are kept, found what I thought I wanted, looked at it and put it back. Went to the fridge to get an apple and found another chocolate bar which I really like, looked at it, thought about it, left it there and went for the apple. Tip for the future: always think twice before consuming food that's not in the master plan.
The second occasion was tonight, my DH makes the most wicked roast potatoes. There were a couple left over, which the children usually fight over but tonight they didn't. So, these potatoes are sat there, just winking at me, demanding to be consumed. I looked at them. They carried on winking at me and, cheeky things, started calling my name. I picked one of them up, just to comfort it, you understand, no other reason. It started crying out that it wanted to be with its friends. already located in the void that is my stomach, and that I HAD to eat it. I turned around with it still in my hand and launched it into the bin. Closely followed by its partner in crime who was still crying my name. Now, I like food, but not enough to fish it out of the bin (especially as I know what's already gone in the bin. Put paid to their nonsense when I threw the chicken carcass on top of them! Ha! Sorted THEM out! Tip for the future: throw unused food in the bin after dishing up so that its not there after the meal.

After having several people tell me my pants were too big, today I went shopping and bought 2 new pairs of jeans at Old Navy. Yes, I know they are vanity sized but a year and a half ago my size was 26, not just 6*!!!
*Old Navy is known for vanity sizing, I get it. They're curvy fit, I get it..but they're SIZE 6, I WANT TO SING IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS.49 -

New revelation for me. I was able to shave my legs without doing anything crazy. Just bend down and shave them. No odd contortions of the body. No lifting up the leg to make sure I get the underside. I haven't been able to do this for years. Just a weird thing that came from taking a shower today. Oh, and the towel closes all the way now!28

The guys in the swim lanes on both sides of me do not seem to know that we are racing, but we are. Nor do I think they realize they keep losing, but they do.81

Finished C25K today. Or rather, C2 3.7K... LOL36

@sarahthes - When did you start your C25K? Was it after you lost some of your weight or did you just go ahead and do it? Wondering because I'm interested in it.4

I guess I was just above 200 lbs when I started and 195 lbs now (had a vacation in there that set me back a bit LOL). So I'm definitely still obese. I just went ahead and did it, but once I was sure it was something I was going to stick with I went to a running store and got fitted for proper shoes. I would suggest that to anyone just starting out. Also, I'm very slow. Very very slow. Going slow and not pushing too fast along with wearing proper shoes is how you avoid injury.19 -
Crossing my legs and my calves touch!21

Beat my old record cycling back from a place I used to go regularly three years ago when at peak fitness. And I only got back on my bike 10 days ago after theee years of relative inactivity. Might seem small but given I have lung disease I was sure that it would take me months to get up speed again.30

I hit my goal of a 375 lb deadlift at Regionals!!!34

LCHF has given me back a feeling that I'm in control and can do this! My husband an I are both losing and sticking to it. No fees just persistence to eat right. Also both our blood pressures are down a lot. They are reducing my meds. Lotsa good things!27
