That is not a healthy balanced diet. Don't do that.7

Good luck sister! I mean if your calories in are lower than the calories your calories out then yeah it'll work I guess! It's not very healthy, and you'll be lacking a whole heap of vitamins and minerals1

Mono diets result in calorie deficits, since there's only so much you can eat of just one food.
They are rarely nutritionally adequate. Only eggs and added fat and no vegetables is not.
Sure, it's super high fat (eggs have about 6 g of protein per egg, so it's not actually high protein, but probably adequate). Sure you will go into ketosis. And sure, if you eat as low cal as I would on that diet you will lose weight. Still seems like a terrible idea to me, but whatever.5 -
I had a four egg omelette with chorizo, onion and cheddar yesterday.
Delicious - I ate that pretty fast.....
Egg fast (assuming you mean only eating eggs) sounds silly, revolting and very possibly anti-social.
It is extremely anti-social. Back in the 1980s, I used to work with two women who between them tried every fad diet under the sun. The week where one of them did the egg-fast diet and the other was on the cabbage soup diet, was one of the longest and smelliest weeks of my life.32 -
Sounds miserable to me, like pretty much all crash/fad diets.2

What it is basically I'm away in a couple of weeks and was looking for a kick start. I seem to be eating emotionally and for energy as I'm tired as medication I am on make me so tired. I got a skinny friend going Everyone has one I'm the chunky one . One take any advice or food plans as I don't wanna smell of sulphur and be the chunky smelly egg friend. I need simple stuff cheap plan as all my money ends up with the kids so if anyone can help give me some sort of straight forward plan that would be great3

Straight forward plan = get a calorie goal for weight loss, eat foods you enjoy but make them fit the calorie goal by weighing and measuring everything you put in your mouth.9 -

OK I've have a look through I've never weighed or measured I've just roughly guessed I'll have a look thanks. So do u have what ever you want or do you eat a certain way as you look like a bodybuilder so I'm assuming you could possibly have a very clean diet any examples of meals would be great

You could assume I have a clean diet, but your assumption would be way off. I refuse to associate with the term "clean eating" after being a clean eater (to the point of being orthorexic) made me the unhealthiest I've ever been. I prepped for comps whilst still having desserts, chocolate, pizza, burgers etc. in my diet.
Anyway.... The point is, for weight loss, calories are what matters. You don't need fancy foods or special diets to lose weight. You especially don't need pills or potions that promise dramatic effects (they won't) . Eat mostly nutrient dense foods for good health, but don't think you need to restrict food groups or deprive yourself of things. Get a food scale, be consistent.19 -
Right I'm on it5

I've heard there is a lot of success with an egg fast. As long as you're getting all your calories. I don't see a problem in it. Good luck32

I love eggs for breakfast but if I had to eat it all day I will get tired of it.0

Add some people here, browse their food diaries for ideas, would be my suggestion. Get a food scale, they are fairly cheap in some stores. Aim for a balanced diet, that has enough veggies, protein and fat and allow yourself treats in moderation...don't cut anything out if it is what you enjoy eating... just have it within your calorie goal. I would also suggest using this spell of weight loss to educate yourself so that you will find it easier in the future to maintain the health and weight that you wish for. There is a lot to learn from reading through these forums.3

what?
I only eat the way I know I can stick to for a long time. If you lose weight by eating only eggs then when you stop eating only eggs what do you think will happen?3 -
The egg fart diet is not recommended.
You'll crack under pressure, then you'll have to pick up all the (shell) pieces. Not an eggcellent way to start a diet, IMO.
