I would love to have some friends on here to share recipes, motivate me and just keep things interesting for me. I lose focus so fast.
Starting weight =194
Current weight =177
Goal weight =around 130. Will gage when I'm closer to a healthy weight
I'm not so great at weekends either, have you considered setting your calories at maintenance on weekends?
Weekends are the only time I get with my husband, so we usually do fun things like movies and dinners out...I have found that I am much better about sticking to maintenance calories than a deficit on weekends, and don't do the whole "well I blew it I might as well eat whatever I want" thing. It also makes me feel like I didn't blow all my hard work, so I'm motivated to restart on Monday.
Hope this is how you reply.
That is a great idea. That's the same here. We spend the weekends as a family out and about.
What are maintiance calories though? Or how would I figure out what that would be?? I have never been in the Maintainance zone before lol1 -
@lisanielsen49 maintenance calories are how many calories it's takes to maintain the body weight you are currently at.
So if you are at maintenance for two days you wouldn't gain weight, but you also wouldn't lose any either, it would be basically like pushing the pause button, but you would still pay attention to the calories to an extent, to make sure you weren't eating over that amount (at which point you would gain weight)
You can set your calorie goals to maintenance in the goals section, the same way you set them to whatever your current goal is per week (example if you have it set for a loss of 1lb a week etc). It will then automatically do the math for your stats. Just make sure you enter your current accurate weight, because the amount of calories your body burns changes as your weight changes.0 -
I'm in the same boat! I am 25 years old and finally wanting to commit to a new lifestyle (with a network of positive people to help!)
My goal is 25-30 lbs weight loss. Then to focus on toning muscle (as I'm currently a cardio queen); I am focused on changing my tolmutious relationship with food - creating a more consistent & positive approach to diet and nutrition.
Start weight: 183 lbs
Goal weight: 150-155 lbs
I would love to meet more people who are going through the same transformation as me! Open for sharing ideas and collaborating with others!3 -

Hey, I'm late 20s. My goal was to lose 50 and I've lost 30. On my way...0 -
Also in my late 20s I've been trying to stay consistent on here for about 2 months now even though I added MFP years ago. My ideal weight is a 70 pound loss, however 40 is what I am aiming for.0

Hi all! I'd love some extra support as well - feel free to add me too!
I'm 27 and looking to lose around 40 pounds. I lost about 60 a few years back, but about half of it has slowly crept back. Looking to commit for good this time!0 -
Hey everyone!
I'm 27 and hoping to lose 70+ more lbs. I started on MFP about 2 years ago and lost around 30 lbs., but since then, I lost a lot of motivation and put half of it back on. x.x;
But I'm back and determined to finally take this weight off! I'm 5'4" with a larger frame and some decent muscle somewhere underneath all of this. Lol!
I've been overweight pretty much all my life, so I don't really know what it's like to be a healthy weight or to gravitate toward cute clothes or like the way I look in general, and I'm tired of living that way.
I tend to get discouraged with things too easily, so I'm gonna try my best to stick to it this time, and I figure a good support system couldn't hurt.
SW: 280 lbs.
CW: 265 lbs.
GW: 199- lbs. (I'd just love to see a 1 at the beginning of the scale again. lol!)0 -

Hi ladies!
I've lost maybe 8 pounds since I started training two months ago, but now that I've added calorie counting to the process I'm dropping much faster (the last 3 pounds were over the course of the last 9 days or so, which is huge for me). My main goal is to get strong, so I'm probably not losing as much weight as I could, but as long as I ditch the double belly eventually I'll be happy... and dare I dream of a sixpack later down the road?
Feel free to add me!0 -
Feel free to add me! I'd love to have more ladies here to help motivate me! #bossbitchesunite0

32 here. Mainly maintaining with a vegetarian diet now0

32 here! I kind of have a goal weight, 135 but it's not set in stone. That was my weight in high school when I met my husband, and I thought I was fat. 16 years later...and I'm 40lbs over that. 40lbs over 16yrs is easy to ignore. It's only 2.5lbs/yr.
Until you go to a family reunion & hubby's tactless aunt asks if you're having another baby. Husband said it was the shirt I was wearing, since it was loose & I have a large chest. He said my shirt did stick out and the loose shirts I've suddenly taken a liking to do make me look bigger than I am. Those loose shirts make me feel less fat though.0 -
27 here! Been coming and going to MFP for a while now. Hoping this time it will stick. Feel free to add me!0
-
Popping in to say I am currently 32. I assume that still counts as early 30's, yes? If not, I must be senile.. or the world has vastly different opinions on age than I do, lol.
Anyway, hope your journey is off to a fantastic start!0 -
