This is my first round :-)
1/8 - 185.8 (A little drop from yesterday, despite some questionable biscuit choices yesterday. Woop! I've also joined the gym again.)
2/8 - 185.2 (Total fluke - I ate terribly yesterday, including ALL of the wine. Oops. I did hit my 12,000 step target though.)
3/8 - 185.6 (No surprise here - yesterday involved a lot of carbs. Today will be better. I plan to drink more water.)
4/8 - 185.2 (Yesterday was better - I smashed my step goal, went to Bodypump, and didn't eat total rubbish. I'm doing my cowboy swagger this morning - muscles! Today I'm hoping to do 14,500 steps)
5/8 - 186.2 (Ate horribly yesterday, and didn't quite hit my step goal, let along 14,500. Feeling a bit ill today after an upset stomach last night. Blargh!)

8/8 - 184.8 (Wheeeeeeeeeee!! Hit my target for this challenge. Yesterday was a really weird food day - eating leftovers from the weekend - but I got my steps in and drank loads of water. Today I have a Body Pump class, and will aim for some manner of sensible food consumption.)
9/8 - 185.6 (Hello, yo-yo... I did eat sensibly, but misread the gym timetable so couldn't do pump. More water will be today's aim, and thankfully we are almost at the end of the packet of chocolate digestives )

I'm in again! I'm a teacher, so the busy time has started. Meetings, meetings, meetings this week, and trying to get my classroom set up. Finding a balance between work, home, and exercise is going to be a struggle.
Round 12: 185.4

08/01: 185.4 Meetings for an all day Math Summit. I didn't get any exercise in, but I did stay on my diet and water consumption.
08/02: 184.8 Skipped a few meals because I was working hard to get a good start on setting up my classroom. I put in a lot of steps too and stayed on my water consumption. I also made up my calories at dinner.
08/03: 185: I skipped multiple meals yesterday due to working on my classroom again. I have almost all of it done and am excited about that! Just a few more tweaks and paperwork. I almost got all of my steps put in as well.
08/04: 185.6: I stayed within my calories ONLY due to the 4 miles of biking I did and the 2 and something miles of walking. It's the first time I ate well over 1200 calories. I'm a yo-yo this round!
08/05: 185.4: I was on my feet and moving all day yesterday. I reached my goal for steps and then some. I stayed within my calories and ate healthy even though I wasn't home. I also drank a ton of water. So now, I'm back to starting weight. Lol
08/06: 184.8: These numbers look all too familiar this week. I went on a 4.5 mile bike ride yesterday. Stuck to my calories and my water.
08/07: 183.4: This is my lowest number yet and a new one this round. I know I've lost a LOT of water since Friday. I also biked 5 miles. Stayed within my calories and ate well. Drank 48 oz of water.
08/08: 182.8: I didn't get to exercise because I worked a 13 hour day. It was back to school night. However, I did get my goal for steps put in. I ate lighter because I was working, but I ate healthy and every 3 hours to keep my metabolism up. I walked away from offers of pizza, cookies, and candy from the principal.I drank 48 oz of water too.
08/09: 182.6 Meetings and more meetings all day long yesterday. Stayed within my calories. Put in my steps by making multiple trips up the stairs. I walked away from cookies, candy, and tons of breads again for our staff luncheon yesterday by packing my own healthy lunch. I drank 48 oz of water again, which I can do without any issues now. Anything more than that, I overhydrate and get really sick since I do have some milk during the day too.

I try to have dinner done by 6 and not eat after that. It's what my specialist recommended. He also said to not lay down for 2 hours after I've eaten. I can't always do that though, so I go with a yogurt and fruit for meals later than that. It's not a lot, but it's something.5 -

8/1: 200.8 – recovering from girls weekend nicely
8/2: 199.8 – Staying within by calorie budget, walking. I had 1 mini cupcake yesterday and it was fantastic. With tracking and logging you can have your cake and eat it too! Just not the whole cake.
8/3: 198.8 – so pumped! Yay me!
8/4: 198 – Happy, but feel tired and hungry. And again annoyed that progress is so slow. I know this is the right way to do it. But dang. My goal for tomorrow was 195. I got pretty close. I had a girls weekend in there that set me back a bit, so I’m pretty content with this result. Tomorrow is a wedding and I can’t wait to eat the delicious food and drink the delicious drink. I’ve been attempting to make healthier meals and they just aren’t very satisfying. But I’ll keep figuring it out.
8/5: 197.2 – This makes me happy! I was getting a little tired of it all yesterday. Ate Arby’s for lunch and Red Baron for dinner. Went for an hour long walk, stayed within my cals. Felt satiated.
8/6: 196.6 – Happy to be making progress consistently. I want to get into the 180’s so friggin bad. It’s been a long time!
8/7: 196.4 – Lazy day yesterday. Stayed as close as I could to calorie goals. Didn’t do too bad.
8/8: 195.6 – Didn’t bring a lunch to work yesterday and was too lazy to go pick something up, almost died. Not making that mistake again. But hey .6 pounds to my short term goal.
8/9 – 196 – up a little. I don’t think I’ve done anything drastically different, so chalking it up to just a normal fluctuation.

8/5 - 196 - 2 glasses of wine and I kept dipping my hand into a bucket of cheeseballs. Alcohol loves salty snacks. Overall a good day and still maintained most of my deficit although I had to weigh the leftover cheeseballs to accurately record their salty deliciousness! Poor little Orange delicacies are now in my snack prison, in the workshop in the tool cupboard, 100 feet away from the house so I have to make a conscious decision to go get em.
8/6 - 196 this is getting to be a habit. Lol

8/1: 192.2 which is 10lbs lost since my first round!! It's my off day, so (even before I weighed in) I decided to do a mini fast for the day. No meat, no grain. Just veggies/fruit and liquid. I've been feeling heavy, even though I'm losing weight, so hopefully this will help.
8/2: 191.4 yay my plan worked. I feel better/lighter and the scale backed me up lol but its back to my regular routine at work today. Hoping to sustain this progress although I predict a spike tomorrow.
8/3: 191.2 still doing well. Did 14,000+ steps yesterday, and stayed within 1500 bmr calorie limit.
8/4: 188.2 weighed my self three times, sat down for a half hour and weighed again, because I just couldn't believe what I was reading. It made me think about before I started these 10 day challenges. Even though I hated what I saw, I never doubted that I was 200+ lbs, but I can't wrap my head around the numbers going down sometimes. I need to think about why and ways to adjust my reactions. I should rejoice in my hard work paying off, not feel nervous about the results.
8/5: 190.2 that's alright. I did 12, 739 steps yesterday, but I ate at odd times and really didn't get a chance to hydrate. Also, got home so late and I'm super tired today but I still have a full day of work ahead of me.
8/6: 191.1 I wasn't home, but I used my sister's scale
8/7: 189.4 didn't do well with my food intake, but logged 12,125 steps yesterday.
8/8: 189.8 trying to hold strong at 88. Have a better plan today, so hoping that my small calorie overage yesterday won't come back to bite me
8/9: 191.8 I really don't know...had a good day yesterday. Stayed within my calories and logged around 12,000 steps again...

I'm back for more!!! Finished Round 11 at 143.4 which wa a sudden drop at end. My goal for this round again is to drop 1.5 #'s. I'd like to finish at 141.9 or below. Wishing all good food choices, happy movement and successful drops!

8/1 144.6 Up over a pound from yesterday. Had a couple of beers and some pilaf. Below on cals but the rice and beer put me over on carbs. It seems I can't have anything like rice, potato, processed foods and lose. I haven't lost anything in the last 2 weeks. whine, whine, whine.......
8/2 144.8 Still going wrong direction. Went to gym yesterday followed by aqua aerobics class. I had a beer and hot dog and that's what's what. Lemon water today.
8/3 145.6 Up over 2#. Too many carbs for moi. Back to veggies and protein. Lemon water. The basics for me. I've been in this 143-145 range for almost a month. Something's gotta give. Off to gym today.
8/4 144.4 Stayed within macros, etc, yesterday and got to gym. Off to Aqua class today hopefully.
8/5 145.4 Sigh. Could be water weight. Going for drive up to Erie, a challenge to eat right. Spent a wonderful hour in aqua arthritis. It's so much fun and an hour later it hits me and I'm tired. At least I know it's doing something. Happy Saturday everyone.
8/6 144.6 Surprising since I ate sushi for lunch and a 5 guys little burger for dinner. Wayyyyy over on carbs. I guess fresh air and walking on beach helped. Only 4 days left and I'm still yoyo-ing the same few pounds this round again. Out for lunch today. A salad sounds good. Happy Sunday to all. If you're where weather is nice, get out and enjoy.
8/7 145.6 Ate lunch out, salad and chicken, had 2 adult beverages. No regrets. Ate healthy, enjoyed the drinks, spent time with a friend. Lovely day. New week, new effort. Mwuah!
8/8 145.6 Did the gym and a aqua fitness class. Well, some of this weight must be muscle, right? One of these days I break through. It's been almost 3 weeks yoyoing at these few pounds. I will persist! Today I'm watching grandson so it's elliptical in family room.
8/9 145 ... Two hours at park with the little man followed by 30 on ellip later in day. You can apparently burn calories watching a 2 yr old defy death at the playground. Hoping to make it to gym later today. Big salad and baked chicken breast and protein drinks for me today. Whatever exercise you do, enjoy it.

8/7 - 164 - Had a good workout and lots of water, but did go over calories, so I'll take it.
8/8 - 164.4 - Dang it! I thought surely I would have a loss this morning...under calories, a ton of water and lots of movement. Go figure.
8/9 - 163.2 - There it is...even had warm gooey chocolate chip cookie and just a short 20 min elliptical workout.

Really struggling to get workouts in and stay within calories. It's not an excuse, but my mom is in hospice care in my home and I'm her primary caregiver. Exercise is my therapy and I really need to try and fit it in.

I am seeing HUGE fluctuations in weight this 10 days. I got on the scale 3 time this morning to make sure it's accurate. I haven't had a period in months and I feel a little like it's coming so I may be retaining water. I also ate like a pig all weekend so that's the big gain. I'm also extremenly stressed over my mom's health. All this amounts to rollercoaster weights.4 -

8/1 143.3 Exercised and stayed under calorie goal yesterday. Beach day today. Need to plan ahead for dinner out.
8/2 143.3 2.5 hour walk on beach: stayed under calories if "walking brisk" exercise calories used calculation was accurate for my walk on uneven, soft sand at Crystal Cove State Beach. For anyone in Southern California, this was a fantastic, beautiful walk!
8/3 143.7 Exercised (elliptical) and stayed under calorie goal. Realized I forgot to add a Starbucks drink on 8/1, so really was over calories on 8/1. Ready for this weight to start dropping! It has been TOM, so hopefully in a day or two.
8/4 144 Exercised and stayed under calorie goal. Had to estimate lunch calories when I shared a pad thai entree with a coworker. Did not drink enough water during the day (a problem I have when working).

My elliptical says I am burning 500 calories, but I only count 350, and never eat back more than that. Yesterday's sodium was high (Panda Express string bean chicken bowl with side of vegetables).
8/7 142.5 Finally, 142.something. Had birthday cake yesterday. 10 extra minutes on the elliptical to stay under calorie goal. Today is my first official day back to work (teacher).
8/8 142.1 Exercised and ate under calories. Blood work this morning to see if blood sugar and cholesterol dropped after losing about 50 pounds since last year.

8/5--227.9 My goal for this weekend is to make sure that I keep hydrated. I find on the weekend I tend to forget to drink my water which leads to me thinking that I am hungry, when in fact I am just thirsty.
8/6--227.9 I had a great hike yesterday and then had some great diner food afterwards. I made sure that I stayed hydrated, even continued to drink water after I had come home from the hike. I will continue to make sure I stay hydrated today and eat at my calorie goal.
8/7--229.4 This is why I love weighing myself everyday. It's just amazing to see how my body reacts to things. Yesterday I had a great massage, today my muscles are sore from the massage, and the muscle soreness results in water retention. I am continuing to stay hydrated and will just wait for the water weight to go.

My 10 day goal is to get to 349 lbs, stay within my daily calories goal and meet or exceed my daily water goal.
8/01 354.0 up from yesterday after burgers and fries with friends, but did a late night workout and met water goal
8/02 351.4 I'm back to where I was at the end of R12. I took a brisk walk, met my water goal and instead of staying up to snack, I went to bed early. Pretty good day.
8/03 350.8 I joined a squats and abs challenge and did some walking. I'm also working on improving flexibility. Drinking water was a struggle, went over cals.
8/04 348.4 Eating was ok, still need to drink more water
8/05 349.2 drank lots of water, but over cals, woke up tired and sore this morning
8/06 350.2 family gathering yesterday, can't let the weight creep back up
8/07 350.2 That was a rough weekend, but I'm back on track and hoping to finish the round more focused.
8/08 351.6 I stayed under calories, drank 100 oz of water and exercised. I'm really sore today, but must carry on.

Cyranda, this is just so perfect. 10 days. More than a week but not so long as two, or a month, or now-until-Christmas as so many other challenges are. Just the right length of time. And how we dutifully have come to read each other's daily struggles! Such an important sense of community! I'm in for the duration!

My goal this round is to go without Chinese take-out for 10 straight days since it really only is a lazy, I-don't-want-to-cook-tonight response and it represents a day without counting. And to exercise at least twice.
8/1 264.8 -- Starting out this challenge with something approaching the low weight of round 11. Let's go down from here!
8/2 264.2 -- Excellent. Paying attention pays off. CICO rocks!
8/3 264.4 -- Fine. I will not be discouraged by some uppity scale. I will eat TDEE-500 and no more. The weight will go down. The goal is to do limited but satisfying eating. The scale will follow.
8/4 263.2 -- Patience and keeping to calorie limits pays off yet again! Even if I don't see quite this low for the rest of the challenge, this is the first time seeing 263 and I'm a happy camper! Now, if I'm going to exercise twice this challenge I should try to get one in soon. Today?
8/5 264.6 -- some of that is water but some of it is due to falling into an old behavior last night -- the dreaded LATE NIGHT SNACKING. Old habits die hard. I probably undid a couple days of calorie deficits. Sigh. Extra self-discipline required to go back into TDEE-500 today!
8/6 263.2 -- back to where I was day before yesterday. YAY! Still haven't done the exercising! Must do today!!
8/7 262.8 -- A new low number for the LW. I need to totally stop eating after supper. This means more afternoon snacking after supper is planned. If I don't start to eat in the evening I am less likely to keep eating until bedtime. No more saving calories for late night snacks because I have trouble stopping at night.
8/8 262.8 -- Same as yesterday at the new low.
8/9 261.6 -- WHOOSH! Another new low! Still haven't exercised. Hmmph.

YAY! I am feeling the drop from 134.8. Hoping that most of that weight I gained from vacation was just water weight. I did a nice HIIT workout yesterday and am slowly coming in closer to a calorie deficit.

Back to my original low weight before all this vacation madness last weekend. Only a few lbs to go until I reach my goal weight!

Yep. I knew it would happen. This is the result of not enough water and a night at a bar watching soccer. Meh. Hoping this is just water weight that I can drop before the end of the round. Otherwise, hoping I have a lower AW than last round (closer to, or less than Round 10 would be nice). As of today my AW for this round is 132.5.
8/8: 133.0
Headed back in the right direction. Nice. Stayed within my calorie limit, drank a ton of water. Can't exercise the way I want because I've had some cryosurgery done on my feet and it hurts like balls.
8/9: 133.0
Guess it's better than gaining.
