Really struggling to get workouts in and stay within calories. It's not an excuse, but my mom is in hospice care in my home and I'm her primary caregiver. Exercise is my therapy and I really need to try and fit it in.

I am seeing HUGE fluctuations in weight this 10 days. I got on the scale 3 time this morning to make sure it's accurate. I haven't had a period in months and I feel a little like it's coming so I may be retaining water. I also ate like a pig all weekend so that's the big gain. I'm also extremenly stressed over my mom's health. All this amounts to rollercoaster weights.

I'm back for more!!! Finished Round 11 at 143.4 which wa a sudden drop at end. My goal for this round again is to drop 1.5 #'s. I'd like to finish at 141.9 or below. Wishing all good food choices, happy movement and successful drops!

8/1 144.6 Up over a pound from yesterday. Had a couple of beers and some pilaf. Below on cals but the rice and beer put me over on carbs. It seems I can't have anything like rice, potato, processed foods and lose. I haven't lost anything in the last 2 weeks. whine, whine, whine.......
8/2 144.8 Still going wrong direction. Went to gym yesterday followed by aqua aerobics class. I had a beer and hot dog and that's what's what. Lemon water today.
8/3 145.6 Up over 2#. Too many carbs for moi. Back to veggies and protein. Lemon water. The basics for me. I've been in this 143-145 range for almost a month. Something's gotta give. Off to gym today.
8/4 144.4 Stayed within macros, etc, yesterday and got to gym. Off to Aqua class today hopefully.
8/5 145.4 Sigh. Could be water weight. Going for drive up to Erie, a challenge to eat right. Spent a wonderful hour in aqua arthritis. It's so much fun and an hour later it hits me and I'm tired. At least I know it's doing something. Happy Saturday everyone.
8/6 144.6 Surprising since I ate sushi for lunch and a 5 guys little burger for dinner. Wayyyyy over on carbs. I guess fresh air and walking on beach helped. Only 4 days left and I'm still yoyo-ing the same few pounds this round again. Out for lunch today. A salad sounds good. Happy Sunday to all. If you're where weather is nice, get out and enjoy.
8/7 145.6 Ate lunch out, salad and chicken, had 2 adult beverages. No regrets. Ate healthy, enjoyed the drinks, spent time with a friend. Lovely day. New week, new effort. Mwuah!
8/8 145.6 Did the gym and a aqua fitness class. Well, some of this weight must be muscle, right? One of these days I break through. It's been almost 3 weeks yoyoing at these few pounds. I will persist! Today I'm watching grandson so it's elliptical in family room.
8/9 145 ... Two hours at park with the little man followed by 30 on ellip later in day. You can apparently burn calories watching a 2 yr old defy death at the playground. Hoping to make it to gym later today. Big salad and baked chicken breast and protein drinks for me today. Whatever exercise you do, enjoy it.

Hi All! I'm in yet again! 10 day chunks is perfect and I've been weighing daily since March...things bounce around a bit but it easy do see an overall downward trend when I have lots of data.

GW -150-I want to get here and then maintain for a bit while I reassess where I want to be weight vs fitness wise
I was down to 152.5 last round and then had some water gains with a splurge day and expecting TOM so finished at 155.5. I'm at my Parents place in cottage country for the majority of this round and don't have complete control over the menu. I just want to maintain as best as possible and hopefully finish around 153.
8/1 155.1 - feeling pretty water puffy again. Waiting for TOM but ate really well yesterday.
8/2 154.4 - 17000+ steps yesterday including a run with the dog AND I went roller skating with the boys which I would never have done 28 lbs ago!!!
8/3 154.0 - slowly chipping away at my water bloat from the weekend...very slowly since my calorie deficit hasn't been extreme with being at my parent's place and a few cocktails on the dock with my cousin.
8/4 156.4 - Pizza with ham and salty feta for dinner last night...and TOM finally arrived (peri-menopause messin with my cycle again)...my rings are tight, I feel super bloated.
8/5 -157.5-had a hungry day yesterday and the TOM cravings didn't help
8/6 -157.5 - need to start turning this back around. Vacay is over tomorrow and I will take back control over my meal planning
8/7 - 158.3 - My train has officially de-railed LOL. I'm pretty sure only about 2 lbs of what I'm up this week are actual weight gain and the rest is retention from TOM, too much wine/cocktails, salty/carby food choices and not enough water while on vacation (although some of that also lead to the gains). Heading home to my own scale and kitchen this afternoon and will be leaving the kids at my parent's while I work a heavy freelance week. I'm going to stop at the grocery store on my way and pick up everything I need to get back on the tracks, heading in the right direction...there's no reason other than my brain ignoring my plan to not reach my goal weight by mid September.
8/8 157.2 -Back on my scale this morning, had a great food day yesterday and meal prepped for my week at home by myself. Pre-logged all my food for today so I don't go off and eat whatever like I did while I was at my parent's place last week. I think I'm going to have to be a lifetime calorie tracker to be able to maintain once I get to where I want to be.
8/9 155.6 - still shedding some bloat...I expect maybe a bit more until I hit the real fat gains I slapped on last week.
8/10 154.8 - Not my lowest weight....but lower than I started this round....not bad considering my de-railment last week.

Great 10 days for losses 9.7 pounds down. This big of a loss is due to loss of water/food weight that was gained while on vacation. I don't expect the next 10 days to have this kind of result. I am however extremely happy to have lost the weight gained while on vacation.10 -

8/5 - 196 - 2 glasses of wine and I kept dipping my hand into a bucket of cheeseballs. Alcohol loves salty snacks. Overall a good day and still maintained most of my deficit although I had to weigh the leftover cheeseballs to accurately record their salty deliciousness! Poor little Orange delicacies are now in my snack prison, in the workshop in the tool cupboard, 100 feet away from the house so I have to make a conscious decision to go get em.

8/7 - 164 - Had a good workout and lots of water, but did go over calories, so I'll take it.
8/8 - 164.4 - Dang it! I thought surely I would have a loss this morning...under calories, a ton of water and lots of movement. Go figure.
8/9 - 163.2 - There it is...even had warm gooey chocolate chip cookie and just a short 20 min elliptical workout.
8/10 - Out of town no scale but did an hour on the elliptical and stayed under calories. Will try to continue on that path and see what happens. Will be back to my scale on Saturday.9 -
This is my first official round. Thought I'd join in officially as I keep nearly getting to the UGW I originally set (will set a new goal when I finally get there), then... not. Focusing on 'where will I be in ten days if I put down the biscuits?', inspired by this thread got me back to my 'nearly there' weight of 61.2kg on July 31st.
Let's see if I can actually get there all the way this time.

8/1 61.2kg. Still! Stayed within goal deficit. Did planks and sit-ups.
8/2 62.1kg. Sod off, water retention. Did planks and sit-ups. Kids are with grandparents for a couple of days, so took advantage of peace and quiet to do the yoga video I bought months back. Ate back all exercise calories, up to the tippy top of my MFP deficit, (except for yoga ones, because doing yoga instead of anything else around the house probably reduces my calorie burn for the hour)
8/3 62kg. Kids still away, so went out for my Cto5k walking session before my shower this morning and did my planks and sit ups. The day is off to a great start! Ate back all exercise calories except post-running stretching, but still within deficit.
8/4 61.9kg. Thighs are aching still from running nd my intense stretching session yesterday, so it's reasonable to assume that's still water. Beginning to wonder if I should change the batteries in the scale though, because a pair of jeggings that felt tight last week now feel just the right amount of loose. Surely I didn't stretch them when I decided to wear them anyway? Have done planks and sit-ups. Decided to have a day off dieting to taste-test my own culinary experiments, satisfy gnawing pre-menstrual hunger and to assist muscle recovery before next C25K day. WELL over cals!
8/5 62.4 Fair enough. Did ab exercises. Ate back exercise calories, and a little beyond, but not significantly. Much easier to stay on plan today, after having proper meals the day before.
8/6 62kg Ate back exercise calories, but no further, and even did stuff with cooking chocolate without nibbling it! Did Cto5k session. Really enjoying the Zombies Run app, especially with last night's update. It now tells me how many calories I've burned using the GPS directly, instead of me having to use the MFP database post-session to generate the same figures.
8/7 61.8kg. Finally moving in the right direction! Very active day, but only ate back 1/2 to 2/3s of exercise calories. Did vigorous ab work-out at class.
8/8 61.9 Still in the 61.# zone! Not surprised by the slight rise as my mid-section is still burning this morning. I swear I can see the water bloat in the mirror (bloody hormones) this week. Great day, calorie-wise, and finished it off by defrosting the freezer and cleaning out the fridge while not nibbling a single little thing.
8/9 61.8kg Abs still a bit sore.
I suppose it doesn't look like I'm going to make 61kg this round, but I'm still very contented wih my results; I'm not sure I've spent so much time consistently in the 61.# zone before this week. Normally, I get to 61.2/61.3, boing! straight back up, and don't get near it again for a month. Every time I've permanently passed a mini-goal threshold, it was preceded by a period of bouncing around in the figures a maddening distance just above it, and I think this pattern is holding true.
8/10 61.8kg, and TOM has finally started. Did ab work-out last night too. I'm still in the 61.#kg zone, and I am very, very happy with the last ten days. I managed what I ate very carefully and only needed to go over cals twice to stop being hungry. That is probably far fewer days than is usual for the week before TOM, and I think it's showing on the scale.
I'm going to have a day off calorie counting now, though.

Cyranda, this is just so perfect. 10 days. More than a week but not so long as two, or a month, or now-until-Christmas as so many other challenges are. Just the right length of time. And how we dutifully have come to read each other's daily struggles! Such an important sense of community! I'm in for the duration!

8/2 264.2 -- Excellent. Paying attention pays off. CICO rocks!
8/3 264.4 -- Fine. I will not be discouraged by some uppity scale. I will eat TDEE-500 and no more. The weight will go down. The goal is to do limited but satisfying eating. The scale will follow.
8/4 263.2 -- Patience and keeping to calorie limits pays off yet again! Even if I don't see quite this low for the rest of the challenge, this is the first time seeing 263 and I'm a happy camper! Now, if I'm going to exercise twice this challenge I should try to get one in soon. Today?
8/5 264.6 -- some of that is water but some of it is due to falling into an old behavior last night -- the dreaded LATE NIGHT SNACKING. Old habits die hard. I probably undid a couple days of calorie deficits. Sigh. Extra self-discipline required to go back into TDEE-500 today!
8/6 263.2 -- back to where I was day before yesterday. YAY! Still haven't done the exercising! Must do today!!
8/7 262.8 -- A new low number for the LW. I need to totally stop eating after supper. This means more afternoon snacking after supper is planned. If I don't start to eat in the evening I am less likely to keep eating until bedtime. No more saving calories for late night snacks because I have trouble stopping at night.
8/8 262.8 -- Same as yesterday at the new low.
8/9 261.6 -- WHOOSH! Another new low! Still haven't exercised. Hmmph.

8/1 - 195.5 I hot a new low the other day and then I went up and now I am working it back down again. My weight log is full of relatively big up-down-up-down swings so this is part of the pattern. I LIKE the down part of the pattern.
8/2 - 195.8
8/3 - 195.5 Had bad lunch yesterday. Literally. The meal had been buried in the freezer and was not successfully microwaved back to sustenance. I ended up eating a Big Mac and fries and I don't regret a minute of it. Healthy dinner, lots of water, day one week 5 c25k, 200 stairs up, and we stay on track.
8/4 - 195.3 Ate calories + some exercise calories. I'm not a low carber, but I really went overboard on white bread. It was a frustrating day and bread and butter is a comfort food. (DD got in a fender bender.) Got a good walk in; it was a dancing walk as I needed another 30 minutes of dancing for a challenge. Definitely done after dark - do not want to scare small children. Got my third 200 steps count needed for another challenge. Need more sleep.
8/5 - 194.7 My effort seems to be paying off this round. I need to keep it going thru the weekend. Last night C25K W5 D2. Need more vegetables, but not eating badly.
8/6 - 194.7 Donated a pint of blood. Good way to start the weekend. DH and I were out back-to-school shopping for him; it is worse than letting a toddler pick his own outfit.

I only ate half my pasta and had lots of salad. Added it all up when I went home; It was do-able. Of course there was no late dinner after that.

8/8 - 194.7 No exercise day - at work late late late.
8/9 - 193.6 Came home, had late storms forming. Managed to make a C25K date after the sun went down but before the rain started. Ate under my net calories goal. I have to watch that - I do not want to lose quickly! My skin is too old for that.

10/8- 231.0!!! Lowes yet. Techincally 12.2lbs lost however i had already been down to 233 a few days before that.... so im counting this as a 2lb loss in 10 days. Not bad since i was able to exercise as much as i normally do.8 -

I'm in! Round 11 was my first round and it helped me A LOT. Knowing I was going to record my weight every day kept me on track and accountable.

8/6 188.2 - Yay!!!!! I was pretty shocked when I got on the scale this morning. I changed it up yesterday and ate a lot more complex carbs. I usually try to stay below 111 but I ate almost 200 yesterday. I ended up eating less calories but still felt like I ate A LOT! I probably drank a gallon or more of water too. I think I'll do some higher carb days mixed in with my moderate carb days and see how that goes!

8/10 - 189.4 - I had a cheat day yesterday because we took our annual trip to the State Fair. I didn't hydrate enough but ate lots of yummy food. We had fun and I can handle the one pound gain..it was so worth it..and I know it's all water weight! On to round 13!

8/1 - 130.8 I have worked out since Friday, every day (after my 2 week mandatory time out). Today is my rest day. And I have been mindful about eating. I love seeing these #s on the scale. My goal is within reach!
8/2 - 130.2 woohoo!!! Ran 4 miles in the hot Florida sun this morning.
8/3 - 130 things are looking good
8/4 - 129.8 it's becoming a reality. And it is worth every effort that I am putting forward. My Goal is near!
8/5 - 131.4 too much grazing and didn't log. Self sabotage! Today back on track. No scale tomorrow because I'm on the road!
8/6 - no scale! Trying to be mindful. Will have a different scale for the next month or so, beginning tomorrow. Looking for good things to happen while I am in the mountains and away from the heat in Florida.
8/7 -132.5 not what I want to see. But a different house with a different scale. And this will be me for the next month. So I will go with the flow and hope to push the numbers down on this scale too! Hopefully, now that I am settled in with no traveling in site, I can get back to a normal routine of mindful eating and working out. Happy Monday!
8/8 - 131.8 creeping down. Hopefully, will continue to go in that direction. Ran 4.5 miles yesterday. Plan on going to the gym later this morning. And always try to practice mindful eating.
8/9 - weighed myself after I ate. Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be a good final day to weigh.
8/10 132.7 Big boo!!! This started out as a really good round with my ultimate goal in site. But then I kind of derailed. I was in a good groove back at home. But have since gone to our vacation home in the mountains and have gotten back into working out but my logging has been anything but stellar. I am hoping for a great round 13. Good luck everyone!7 -

8/1: 192.2 which is 10lbs lost since my first round!! It's my off day, so (even before I weighed in) I decided to do a mini fast for the day. No meat, no grain. Just veggies/fruit and liquid. I've been feeling heavy, even though I'm losing weight, so hopefully this will help.
8/2: 191.4 yay my plan worked. I feel better/lighter and the scale backed me up lol but its back to my regular routine at work today. Hoping to sustain this progress although I predict a spike tomorrow.
8/3: 191.2 still doing well. Did 14,000+ steps yesterday, and stayed within 1500 bmr calorie limit.
8/4: 188.2 weighed my self three times, sat down for a half hour and weighed again, because I just couldn't believe what I was reading. It made me think about before I started these 10 day challenges. Even though I hated what I saw, I never doubted that I was 200+ lbs, but I can't wrap my head around the numbers going down sometimes. I need to think about why and ways to adjust my reactions. I should rejoice in my hard work paying off, not feel nervous about the results.
8/5: 190.2 that's alright. I did 12, 739 steps yesterday, but I ate at odd times and really didn't get a chance to hydrate. Also, got home so late and I'm super tired today but I still have a full day of work ahead of me.
8/6: 191.1 I wasn't home, but I used my sister's scale
8/7: 189.4 didn't do well with my food intake, but logged 12,125 steps yesterday.
8/8: 189.8 trying to hold strong at 88. Have a better plan today, so hoping that my small calorie overage yesterday won't come back to bite me
8/9: 191.8 I really don't know...had a good day yesterday. Stayed within my calories and logged around 12,000 steps again...
8/10: 191.2 this week was a little wacky for me. So e big drops early and then I leveled out. Not bad since I managed to lose 2lbs6 -

8/01 354.0 up from yesterday after burgers and fries with friends, but did a late night workout and met water goal
8/02 351.4 I'm back to where I was at the end of R12. I took a brisk walk, met my water goal and instead of staying up to snack, I went to bed early. Pretty good day.
8/03 350.8 I joined a squats and abs challenge and did some walking. I'm also working on improving flexibility. Drinking water was a struggle, went over cals.
8/04 348.4 Eating was ok, still need to drink more water
8/05 349.2 drank lots of water, but over cals, woke up tired and sore this morning
8/06 350.2 family gathering yesterday, can't let the weight creep back up
8/07 350.2 That was a rough weekend, but I'm back on track and hoping to finish the round more focused.
8/08 351.6 I stayed under calories, drank 100 oz of water and exercised. I'm really sore today, but must carry on.

Otherwise, hoping I have a lower AW than last round (closer to, or less than Round 10 would be nice). As of today my AW for this round is 132.5.
