Graduated college 30 lbs heavier than when I started and I wasn't in the best shape to begin with. I started a new job, moved to a new city, and as i was "reinventing my normal" I decided now was the perfect time. I'm ready to work on who I've wanted to be for a long time.

I suffered from panic attacks, shortness of breath, dizzy spells, numbness and migraines. Finally went to see a specialist and informed me that I might be gluten intolerant. So since May 2016 I changed my eating habits and exercised and I have never felt greater!

I'd like to live. For as long as possible would be nice.

Are you planning on killing me? At least wait until I get back from vacation.

With me its never planned. It's more spontaneous.

Use it in a song for bonus points.

I have been thinking about getting serious about weight loss and fitness for quite awhile now. Several recent events made me decide to do something. I recently tried on a t shirt that I wanted to buy, and the extra large was too small. Not always the case, but was this time. Being with my grandsons and not being able to keep up with them was another sign..Being 61 and having avoided diabetes and heart problems (for now) but wondering how long that could last with my current overweight state. Having sleep issues due to overeating at night...Being lucky enough to travel and being afraid that I will not be able to enjoy the next trip..and finally, I saw a picture of myself recently and it was truly AWFUL...time to do something...this group seems great..please keep up the good work and keep on keeping on!!!

Ordering a tshirt for an event at work, tshirt arrived and looked humongous. Put on shirt and it was kinda tight. When people ask how someone could let themselves get so big, I understand. What you see in the mirror and what's reality is not always the same.

Went to the doctor and when they weighed me, I almost died. She told me I was 299 pounds. Right then and there, I decided I had to change my life. Started counting calories, doing cardio, and lifting heavy. I have a long way to go but, I'm closer than I was.
