My pants were so loose that they kept sliding down so I had to drill an extra hole in my belt to tighten them up. I think one time years ago I drilled a hole in my belt but it was because it was too tight
Drilled another hole in my belt Also bought a new pair of shorts 34 waist and a Medium t shirt and they both fit. It has been a long time since I wore these sizes

Had the kiddos this Saturday by myself, and instead of turning on the TV we went for a hike, then I threw them in the bike trailer and rode for an hour - and then mowed the lawn.36

I saw a vein on my arm while doing my chest workout last night. First time ever, I nearly dropped the weights when I saw it.32

Despite having pretty severe social anxiety I've gotten myself a training card AND actually managed to haul my butt over for two different sessions just this week!40

We're going on a backpacking trip this weekend. I hadn't used my pack since October, and when I took it out of the closet, I had to make adjustments to almost all of the straps, shortening them by a few inches in the waist and chest! I got rid of all of my "big" clothes, so this was the last indicator of how far I've come in less than a year.31

I turned down fresh donuts brought into work by a vendor today. Fresh Krispy Kreme donuts. Major NSV for me!!42

One big NSV recently. We have a running program at work modeled after the C25K program which helps beginning and novice runners move from walking to finishing a 5k. There was an organizational meeting last week and the leader of the program asked me to provide a testimonial as a successful "graduate" of the program. When I started running 3 years ago, I never could have imagined I would be giving a talk encouraging others to start running - very humbling experience and a reminder of how far I have come so far!36

1) Took my son out for his bike ride as promised. He really enjoyed it and is keen to go again. This is the first activity he has actually asked (and therefore wanted) to do. On just two rides I've noticed how much his confidence in his own abilities has grown.
2) I've volunteered (along with my three older children) to help out at the Junior ParkRun on Sundays. DH will be accompanying my youngest as she hurtles towards her "half-marathon" wristband34 -
Today I realized how much working out helps eliminate brain fog/tiredness. I will have to make it a goal to workout in the morning from now on so I can be productive all day (This is why most professors exercise all the time! I understand now!) I also did C25K w1 d2, but before hand I looked up proper running form and stuff. I could tell a major difference in my running from just a week ago (I did C25k day 1 twice)29

Last weekend I was able to make a double recipe of chicken casserole for my daughter's family (including 2 week old grandson ) because I could lift a heavy dutch oven in and out of the oven. In Feb. when I finally got the go to start exercising after healing from a torn triceps tendon I couldn't hold a 2 lb weight over my head. I am so profoundly grateful to the wonderful people in my life who supported my efforts to get back my strength instead of letting me coast along with "good enough".29

The cups are the same size but the bands are different.
Edit. Didn't notice someone already said this sorry!4 -
I think I can see my ribs! (not got confirmation as gf is a bit sick of the 'look at this muscle/dent/movement' at the moment )
When I stand under the light and stretch my arm upwards there are new shadows being created. Tis cool!
And went swimming with my mum yesterday and she would not shut up about how great I looked. I love my mum! hehe
we both had a NSV of being able to lift ourselves out of the pool - grinning so big and kept doing it!36 -
I did not buy a new pair of trousers just because I don't fit into hardly anything at the moment but decided I will have to make do with what's there and better get results here fast.18

Woke up early for some reason, maybe because yesterday was a rest day. Instead of luxuriating in bed with my tablet I did a half hour guided meditation first to see if I could coax myself back to sleep. Then, when I couldn't, I got up, rolled out my yoga mat and completed the yoga assignment for the day. I feel so energized now! This is a proud moment because getting up at 5AM for work is hard for this night owl.28

I have a big old visible vein on the bottom of my armpit leading to my chest muscles, and I have pecs!
A couple of days ago I caught my toe on broken pavement and took a fall while running. Husband rushes over in concern, and my first words are, "Did you pause the timer on the c25k app?" Fortunately I had a wad of kleenex in the pocket of my shorts, so I wiped the blood off, and we finished our run. I did take the skin off my palm and cut my leg, but the injuries cleaned up and are healing nicely. My husband says I'm officially hardcore. There are a couple of NSVs here - one is not feeling sorry for myself and finishing anyway, and the other is falling much more gracefully than I could have when I weighed 70+ more pounds. I'm still not quite spry enough to catch myself after tripping and not fall in the first place!48 -

I'd have said the same!

I managed to get into a sports bra today without my husband needing to brace his knee on my back and yank the sides around Not only could I do it myself, it went straight to the second set of eyelets!42

Three from yesterday...
- I found new work trousers that fit better, and therefore look better. AND aren't dry clean only. Win.
- I wore a strappy sports bra that used to give me terrible back fat, and it didn't any more.
- I felt confident enough to do my a whole workout in capris and my sports bra. I'm on recomp and a lot of my battle is around body confidence and what I think other people are thinking. I *know* that no-one in the gym gives a kitten about what I'm doing or wearing (and if they do, they can jog on) so I set myself the challenge of doing a whole workout with my midriff on show. I didn't feel massively comfortable, but I did it! Now to work on the feeling good about it thing...27 -
NS not-V. Went to the GI doctor for what I had been diagnosed with as IBS-C. She concluded that my lazy colon and intestines had become dependent on my fat for support, and now that I had lost weight, they had started to sag which is why I am so constipated all the time. I asked if I needed to gain any weight back and she laughed at me. So now I have to work on my abs hard core, take supplements, and be patient. For all of you that are worried about this, she said it is really uncommon, it's just that most of the weight that came off of me was from my midsection.29

Today my 4yr old came straight to the garage to find daddy at 6:30am when he woke up, because he knew I'd be lifting and not lounging in bed!41
-
I made it up the hill by the high school without walking.28
-
I put on a top that was relegated to the 'too small' pile last year... And it fits!25
-
Someone actually told me today that I looked 10-15 years younger than my actual age!25

My husband and I ran at the river park in front of other people! And I feel pretty good, I don't feel like everyone is passing me thinking, "Oh that poor thing, I'm glad she's finally doing something about herself."
Also, my wonky knee (I have no acl in my right knee) seems to be stable enough to run cross country with a little help from a knee brace. I wasn't sure it would be, it used to like to go out when I went down slopes. But apparently, fingers crossed, doing a bunch of squats and deadlifts has made it more stable.23 -
Ooops. Had intended this for another thread. Uhm...I undergrew some skinny clothes and had to buy some new dresses?16

I tried on jeans the other day that I haven't fit into comfortably since 2011 and they FIT!!!!! Such an amazing feeling!!

I've been going to the gym by my house for the last few months pretty consistently. And last night they didn't even need to scan me in since I have become such a regular.33
-
I've been wearing only skirts, dresses and sweatpants for a year now since I couldn't fit into any of my jeans that I had bought only last Spring. But now that I saw this thread I decided to try the jeans on and they fit!! Quite easily actually! Can't wait for them to get loose32
-
Despite having a cold and feeling like a giant baby about it, I hauled my tush outside and went for a 35 minute walk!36

Had in-house training from 0830 to 1630 and the speaker brought 2 flavors of donut holes, which I love. He put both containers on the end of MY table for the entire day. I did not eat one donut hole! Instead I ate the fruit and protein snacks I brought with me.31
