My 30 year high school reunion is less than a year away... Can't even :#

You look fresh out of college so don't fret.

I took all my selfies in the 90s.

A few days ago I went to the cashier to pay for my items and the very young cashier asked if I was 55 or older to get the senior discount. I said, "Maybe in about 20 years". She said, "People get mad when I don't ask". I said, "People get mad when you do" while glaring and thinking not so polite thoughts. Then I came home and did a charcoal mud mask. My mom has been laughing for days at my expense as she is 57.

I was asked that Q in the same situation last year by a woman who was maybe 55 herself. I was 39...man, so I was so ticked off.

The same night I went to an all ages show with my female friends who are 22 and 25. I was super paranoid about everyone assuming I was their mom. Which of course WOULD be possible. Later I found out someone assumed I was my 22 yr old friend's girlfriend. That was so much better. haha

I bet a lot of people are rolling their eyes at this one!

But I kind of get it. 27 was the hardest birthday I ever had and I'm about to turn 41 this Fall! I just felt so panicked like my youth had ended and I'd never be allowed to have fun again.

My son is 21, he makes me feel old all the time... especially since he's almost a foot taller than me.

As long as I can pass as his sister in public I'm good though :)

I remember when, as a kid, we had a milk man
    I remember ice cream trucks

I remember have a black and white tv - no remote
I remember using a type writer to do papers in school - during my first degree too!

My parents house was the 'show home' on their street when they bought it...it was $14,000.00!!
    I remember wearing mood rings

I remember buying my first '45' record - it was ABBA
If you wanted money/banking needs you had to go to an bank that was open and get a teller to help you

I remember wearing 'Candies' heels in high school
Watching Donnie and Marie - Sonny and Cher

    I could go on...

People that were born in the 80's referring to themselves as old.

Exactly! The songs of my childhood have been on Classic Rock radio for more than a decade!

It makes me feel old when I think about the fact that kids I babysat for as a teenager are now in or graduating from college. And then other kids I taught (as an early childhood teacher) in my early 20s are in middle and high school now.
