    But I kind of get it. 27 was the hardest birthday I ever had and I'm about to turn 41 this Fall! I just felt so panicked like my youth had ended and I'd never be allowed to have fun again.

    Most people probably don't understand I had goals before I turned 23

    Watching people's kids grow up makes me feel old. They get all tall and opinionated and stuff.

    My eldest grandchild turned 10 this week
    My body aches after a hard day's work
    and when I smile, I now have Lines around my eyes that I never had before and my eyelids seem droopy :confounded:

    My son is 21, he makes me feel old all the time... especially since he's almost a foot taller than me.

    As long as I can pass as his sister in public I'm good though :)

    I remember have a black and white tv - no remote
    I remember using a type writer to do papers in school - during my first degree too!

    My parents house was the 'show home' on their street when they bought it...it was $14,000.00!!
    I remember wearing mood rings

    I remember buying my first '45' record - it was ABBA
    If you wanted money/banking needs you had to go to an bank that was open and get a teller to help you

    I remember wearing 'Candies' heels in high school

    It makes me feel old when I think about the fact that kids I babysat for as a teenager are now in or graduating from college. And then other kids I taught (as an early childhood teacher) in my early 20s are in middle and high school now.
