hey @maryvbird-- it is good you posted your "off the wagon" -- just get back on so you don't slide back into calorie creep- you have lost so much already! Great job. I have always found those cheddar biscuits a real challenge- they are yum...

@runningforthetrain - I know I need to finish what I started. Sat, Sun and Mon I lit up my tracking board in RED which increased my guilt. I didn't want to lose sight of my final GW of 155, so I got back in the saddle yesterday. (I'm pulling that d@#$ wagon home!) Thanks for the kudos - much appreciated. A little inspiration goes a long way.

Tracking through the bad times as well as the good is key to a permanent change! There will always be days we are not under goal!

    Boy, this is slow going!!

The absolute MAXIMUM you should lose a week to A) be healthy and B) be able to keep it off is 2lbs a week which is pretty aggressive and hard to do consistently week after week for a sustained period of time so even if you were absolutely perfect at 2lbs a week for 8 weeks you would have lost 16lbs and you've lost 10!!!! That's incredible! You're doing great and not slow going at all...besides slow and steady wins the race right? Quick burns out, falls asleep, binges...gains everything back and stops checking in (and definitely loses the race) ;)

    Hi there, and welcome.

This challenge thread/group was started by Lory (hauntedhollywood)...she has been ill recently and hasn't been posting lately....so I don't know if she was thinking of restarting this in October.

Though if there are enough of us that want to continue, there's nothing to say that we can't restart and keep this going for support.

    Anybody else in?

@beckyr06 I'm game for another round of 12 weeks. I won't need to be as aggressive next time, but the support shown here can only help me stay focused to be able to reach my final GW.

    Hiya,
I hope it's OK, I would like to join this thread to gain/offer support & keep my motivation up. I've been putting on weight at a rate of knots for a couple of years and need it all to stop.
Started trying properly around god beginning of August.
    SW: 255.2lbs (116kg)
    GW: 198lbs (90kg)

    CW: 233.6lbs (106.2kg)

    Total loss so far = 21.56lbs (9.8kg)

    Still to lose = 35.6lbs or 16.2kg

I've found my fitness pal brilliant for clocking/recording calories. I'm swimming, cycling and walking (hope to soon be running).
Eating loads of veg, bit of fruit & lots less meat.

Hope its OK to post here, if not sorry & delete!
Cheers and Kia kaha to all

Sounds good - I am in as well. I am looking to maintain or lose just a few more pounds, so will need to continue to be accountable.

Anybody else out there that wants to keep this going, we will restart another 12 week challenge when this one ends on October 1.

Congrats @beckyr06 on meeting your goal! I find that maintenance can be even more challenging than losing because you don't have that weekly motivation of the scale moving...but I'm looking forward to maintenance soon! Planning to track forever and definitely looking forward to my daily calories going up a bit more! Staying in these accountability groups is a great way to stay on track when not necessarily trying to lose anymore!

Thank you - yes I am struggling with that as well. Wouldn't mind shaving off a few more pounds but also need to increase strength training so it is a major adjustment for me, and I don't want to go backwards.

Hope you will be in for another 12 weeks as we finish this challenge in a few weeks. Have appreciated your upbeat and positive comments for everyone throughout.
