Hope everyone rocked today's challenge! If you haven't yet, get on it, I know you can do it! I actually found the jumping jacks easy and did 125 before stopping, must be all of the HIIT I've been doing. Got 144 oz of water down, but that is the easy part for me. I used to hate water but as time goes on I find that I really feel like crap if I do not get enough of it. Just have to close out the diary, I have 591 calories left so it shouldn't be a problem being under target however I need to eat some before I close it.

Question: Are we posting our goals met on this thread or messaging them to the captain?
I believe she said we are posting goals met on the thread. Just list the three things (exercise, calories under, and water)

this is kinda a slow question, but are we supposed to be staying under our goal calories before or after workout calories?

spurradic, you keep track of your net calories. That means, don't let your calories go into the red.

And thanks for those who posted their successes so far. I think there are a few people we haven't heard from at all so far and if we don't by tomorrow we'll have to get replacements. If you know any of the missing members, encourage them to post!!

    UP and DOWNS

    from gary:

    "
    http://www.youtube.com/user/sixpackshortcuts?v=bkD9LwDBWW0&feature=pyv&ad=7237549087&kw=exercise

The very first part of this exercise is the up and downs. They may be modified by simply starting on all 4's and then standing up quickly and returning to this position to all 4's. This is a cardio exercise! Don't be freaked out but all he is doing just do the first part and modify if needed.

REMEMBER ITS THE VERY FIRST THING HE DOES ON THE FLOOR that's it! Unless you are a real rockstar then finish it out if you can. It's a crazy exercise. Be ready for great exercises you can do at home without anything!"
  • DAY ONE!

daily challenge (j. jacks) - done
water over 64 oz - done
under target calories - done... a little too done, actually. But I was over yesterday by quite a bit, so I guess I'll just chalk it up to informally zig zagging and move on, haha.

  • Hi Team!! I am currently on a business trip until around 8/9 or 8/10, which unfortunately means very busy days and restaurants for all meals. But I just wanted to say that even though it will probably be late in the evening before I post, I PROMISE to log in, fill out my diary, and fulfill the challenges EVERY DAY! It'll be late, but I will do it! I also unlocked my diary for friends to help keep me accountable and on the right track because I have such a hard time with maintaining healthy eating habits when all I do is go out to eat (and as is customary - beer! But so far, no beer for me!) . But, on a positive note, I'm working outside in 100 degree weather, which means I'm drinking plenty of water! Now, I'm off to the gym!

Good morning teammies! I hope you are all doing well today. I learned this morning that once you set your mind free your body can do anything. I know it sounds corny. I did a 30 minute HIIT workout this morning and going into it I was dead set that I was not going to be able to do it. Well once I stopped listening to "I can't do this" and "I'm too tired, let's just quit", I was able to do the whole thing. At the end I had to stop and take it all in, the fact that I did do it (although not perfectly *shrug*) and it was a lot easier once I stopped telling myself that I couldn't do it.
So stop telling yourselves that you can't because you can and I believe in you. :flowerforyou:

    Good afternoon everyone!!

I think that for my sanity, it would be easier if you would report your successes with the challenges and water at the end of the week. I know I told you to put it on here, but would you mind messaging them to me at the end of the week with your current weight? Its hard for me to keep everything organized on here!!

    Also!
It is my understanding that you don't have to do all of the challenges in order. For example, I didn't have time for the jumping jacks yesterday, but I will do them today and just push all of the challenges back a day. Does that make sense? Let me know if it doesn't.

OK, I am here! I was out for a couple days but now ready to play. Is there a group target or is everyone trying to lose 1-2 pounds per week?

I wonder how everyone does with water consumption. I tend to drink only 1/2 of the recommendation or 4 glasses per day. Not sure why!

Okay, so I know that our captain wants us to send our totals to her at the end of the week but it motivates me to post daily so that's what I am going to do. Please feel free to do so also, it's encouraging to see how well others are doing. I drank 144 oz. of water today, walked 2.7 miles and closed my diary under my target calories. I also posted a before pic on my profile if anyone wants to check it out. the one in the grey sports bra was taken yesterday (141 lbs). The one in the bikini was taken last October before starting P90X (165 lbs).
I hope everyone is meeting their goals today! You are all fabulous!

fitwatch - I am 11 lbs away from my goal weight so I would be very happy and very surprised if I can even lose 1 lb a week. If I lost 2 lbs even for one week out of the month I think that I would pee my pants with happiness!
