Hey all! So, here I am on this weight loss journey (actually, I think it is more of a get healthier journey) and sometimes I find my introverted self needing some support, especially when I eat as much whale

Not sure why it cut off some of my post??? Ugh! Any way, I know that there are more of you out there like me, right!?!? The type that needs support sometimes, but not all the time??? The type that is ok doing their own thing most of the time, but in moments of introversion need to reach out??? Or maybe it's just me11

I love oxymorons!!! On a side note, have you ever found that your introverted self likes to extrovert on occasion???

Lol it is an oxymoron! However I definitely feel where your coming from ! Just know your not alone ! I definitely find myself at 10/11pm going through my pantry like I’m at a drive through “let me get 8 Oreos , napkin of chips , oo Louisiana crunch cake don’t mind if do and let me get a Powerade lol ! We all have our moments ! Just have to be better and do better one day at a time !14

If you are using the app and use phone emojis it kills everything after the offending character. Use forum emojis instead, the little smile drop-down. or type in a colon and a letter to see all the available emojis available.
I'm an occasionally-extroverted introvert myself.
It's easier in forums for me to express. Support is super crucial IME.5 -

I'm an introvert & totally agree. I don't like having overbearing support, but having someone consistently there to let me know that I'm doing great or a word of encouragement is always nice--especially on the tougher days.
You can add me! I'm supportive and my inbox is always open if you're up for a chat.5 -

Me too. And sometimes that makes it harder to reach out when you need to, because it's a bit out of our comfort zone.
What are you needing support with at the moment?
Also, these boards can be a bit cut throat at times, but there are a lot of good people with a lot of good information out there, who try and give sensible responses.
The best way to get a good answer to any question is...
- Be really specific in your question.
- Give your stats in your question (age, height, current weight, goal weight, weight loss goal per week, maybe your starting weight)
- If you're asking about a plateau in your weight, always specify how long it's been, and consider not posting if it's less than a month
- Make your diary public, particularly if you're asking food or calorie questions. It's unlikely people will go looking at it for fun, but if you ask questions then the people who have the best answers will usually need to go and have a look at how you've been logging, what you've been eating etc to provide you with useful feedback.
- If you're looking for exercise questions, detail what you're already doing, how long you've been doing it, and things like that.
Honestly, I think that introverts' ability to get on with things alone is an asset for things like weight loss and fitness. For example, I only see my personal trainer once every 4-6 weeks, which is WAY cheaper than every session!5 -

I definitely agree ! It’s easier to see over the mountain when you know your not alone through the struggle!

It would be so nice to be able to respond to people directly instead of quoting them. Glad to meet you!!

Introvert here. I am happy doing my own thing, but having some support every so often is nice as well.3

Glad to not be alone in this one, always been an introvert and do so much better just being on my own but could always use the support!2

I see your challenge of uniting just introverts, and raise you the challenge of uniting INTJs like myself....
Bwahahahah good luck with that!

Introvert IRL. Pretty talkative on the forums. But I don't generally check my feed and go liking/commenting on everything.1

Is an INTJ an introverted extrovert?? If so, I'm pretty sure I'm that, haha0 -

This is how I often feel. I'm good solo, but every once in awhile I want some to be accountable to. Or someone to tell me "it's ok, the struggle is real!"

That is exactly how I feel, wish there was that convenience but people don't come and go as we please I spose lol1 -
Did someone say "introvert"? *grabs a plate of hors d'oeuvres and sits at an empty table in the corner*13

If we did try to converse, it would just be awkward anyway.2 -

Yeah. That’s how I am too. I like the forums bc I can participate as I want, without all of the commitment of friends. Sometimes I’m happy to get a message and sometimes I cringe and don’t answer for days. It’s not them. I just don’t want to get involved in conversations and have to follow ppl’s updates and stuff. I get overwhelmed bc I feel like I’ll let ppl down, and then I do let them down.4
