Allergies prevent nuts, for me. But I'm on board with the caramel!

And I still have a pumpkin with no recipe tacked to it... I think I know what I'm making on Sunday, consequences be damned!

Shame. We have a walnut tree in the garden. Those are some of the best damned nuts I've ever eaten. I just can't eat them raw (= open sores all over my mouth). But once they've been subjected to high temperatures... like in baking... no problems!

It's not very active anymore - but our ice cream lovers group on MFP used to host challenges a couple of times a year, where people would post pictures or a log of the yummy foods they were eating related to the season, along with keeping track of weight and other relevant stats - to demonstrate that it's possible to eat delicious fall favorites and still keep up with weight loss goals. Or all the delicious foods between Thanksgiving and New Year's without gaining weight. It was a lot of fun seeing people's homemade treats, people would share recipes, drool over yummy regional things like cider doughnuts - and realize that it's possible to eat delicious food and have this still be a part of our social norm without compromising weight loss or fitness goals.

This thread reminds me of that. Sadly, many of our veteran posters and founding members aren't around anymore, but I know there are still a few that pop in to share a fun new find.

My latest favorite Halloween candy is mini Heath bars. Preferably chopped up and sprinkled over coffee ice cream.

    That sounds amazing!

It is quite a challenge to find people who don't eat "clean" and healthy in a country where 70% of the people are overweight :#

Right, I'm ruining your fun, lol. I'm still trying to understand the fun that fit people derive from posting pics of desserts and gushing about candy on a fitness message board.

Oh no, people have foods they enjoy. Hold the presses.

Yeah, just take a look around next time you're out, there are a lot of people who really, really, enjoy food...

This isn't a thread you will want to be a part of, so please don't ruin it for those who do. We've enough train wrecks around here now.

Agreed! I love this thread! Please don't argue it into MFP purgatory :disappointed:

    Dinner the other night.

Pickerel dipped in flour and Mrs Dash, pan fried in butter with fries done in an air fryer.
