What's your resting pulse rate?

I was just wonder what your guys average resting pulse rate is?
Mine knocks in at about 63 pulse per minute.

    Last time I checked it (which was a month or so ago - for 5 consecutive days per my doctor) - it was usually between 50-54.

    I have VERY low blood pressure (and have always had it -- my mom has it, my dad has it.. I have it) and have always had low blood pressure even when I was 60lbs heavier. My average blood pressure is 62/89 -- "high" for me is 100/95.

    Edited to add: I am perfectly fine. My heart is in excellent condition. Like I said, low is very normal for me and I've been told since my parent's blood pressure has always been low - it is genetic. Just like some people have a family history of HIGH blood pressure - I have a family history of low blood pressure.

    i have a feeling mine is high - i think its about 71...
    but its always been high even when i was younger
    i teach fitness classes, so have no idea why it is high??
    blood pressure is fine

    Usual hangs in the mid 50's at rest. Did a sleep study over the weekend and drops in the 40's when I sleep.
    Not suprising though from years of ultraendurance sports

    Hun it is not possible to have BP 62/89... I am thinking you mean 89/62. Plenty of people have low pressures like that. Just be careful if you stand up to fast. !

    Mine is stupidly high at 90-110, always was even when i was a relatively fit, active, skinny teen. BP is OKish at 120/70. ECG and ECHO show nothing abnormal...i'm just peculiar

    Mine usually varies between 65-75bpm. Today it was 69bpm when my BP was 110/73. After struggling with high BP and a high resting pulse rate most of my life, I am pretty PUMPED. :smile:

    Mines 58 which astonishes me coz I'm still in the overweight BMI, I am pretty fit tho, if that makes any sense, B/P 110/70 all pretty good for an ex smoking fat bird! Lol!!!

    Oh yeah. Standing up fast isn't good. I passed out once and when I came to they were freaking out because it was so low they couldn't get a reading on their machine (it was battery operated and OLD). They thought I died. Oh boy.

    I actually learned how to take it a couple of weeks ago when I went to the Dr and I had it at 110, and it freaked me out because that's high according to my Dr. Now, she never asked me if I had been working out (which I had) or drank enough water (it was hot), and now I know that those things can affect it.

    I was told to take it in the morning when I first wake up as long as it is done after natural waking and NOT waking to an alarm.

    Mine is usually 45-50 but sometimes lower if I am very relaxed. This is normal for me. I am quite fit but also very overweight. My blood pressure is also usually low and I have to be careful to make sure I get enough salt otherwise my blood pressure drops and my heart misses beats (not good with an already low pulse rate!) My GP was concerned and referred me to a cardiologist who said my heart is very healthy but I need to eat more salt, lol. I wasn't expecting a cardiologist to give that advice! So I guess for me, it's just the way I was built :wink:

    After sitting still for a while,mine settles at between 50-55. Have never taken it first thing in the morning though; never awake enough to think about doing it!

    My RHR, is about 50+ these days, would like to get it back to under 40! Just starting a program to be in racing (cycling) shape by spring!! :)

    Mine was 55, but I just got that sitting at my desk right now, so I expect my proper morning resting rate has got lower. Adding sprint intervals to my routine helped, I suspect!
